About AMAADOR ISLAM

A free, gentle, independent doorway into Islam — and a calm, honest companion for the everyday questions that come after.

Our mission

AMAADOR ISLAM exists to make the first steps into Islam feel calm rather than overwhelming. Coming to Islam — or simply exploring it — raises a hundred practical questions: How do I become Muslim? How do I pray? How do I read the Qur'an? What do I do about my money, my will, my savings? We try to answer those questions honestly, gently and in plain English, with no pressure and no judgement. Everything on the site is free to use.

Who this is for

We write especially for new Muslims, reverts and converts, and for anyone curious about Islam, in the English-speaking world. You do not need any prior knowledge, and nothing here asks you to commit before you are ready. Where helpful, the site is also available in Arabic and French.

Who is behind it

AMAADOR ISLAM is a small, independent project — not affiliated with any government, mosque, school of thought or commercial sponsor. It is run by a tiny editorial team who care about getting things right and keeping the tone kind. We are not a substitute for a knowledgeable local teacher, imam, scholar or qualified professional, and we say so clearly wherever it matters.

About the creator

Youssef Amaador

AMAADOR ISLAM was built by Youssef Amaador because too many people who convert to Islam are left, right after their Shahada, without a clear next step — no one to explain how to pray, how to start reading Qur'an, or who to ask the small everyday questions to. This site is an attempt to be that calm, honest starting point, free for anyone who needs it. Youssef is also the founder of AMAADOR Corporation and builds a small portfolio of other independent platforms under the AMAADOR Suite; AMAADOR ISLAM is the one closest to his heart. How we research and review our content (editorial standards)

We want you to be able to trust what you read here. Every guide is held to the same standards:

  • Grounded in primary sources. Our religious content is based on the Qur'an and authentic hadith, reflecting mainstream Sunni Islam. Where reputable scholars genuinely differ, we say so rather than pretending there is one simple answer.
  • Checked against reputable references. For practical and financial topics we draw on well-regarded contemporary sources and named providers, and we keep details (prices, products, rules) framed as ranges that change over time.
  • Reviewed for accuracy before publishing, and updated when we learn something is out of date or could be clearer. The "last updated" intent is reflected in each guide.
  • Honest about uncertainty. We would rather tell you "scholars differ — ask someone qualified" than give you false confidence.

A clear word on money and religious rulings

Please note: our guides are educational, not professional advice. Nothing on AMAADOR ISLAM is a binding religious ruling (fatwa), nor personalised financial, legal, tax or investment advice. For decisions that matter, please consult a qualified scholar and, for money matters, a licensed advisor in your country.

How we keep it free (and our promise to you)

Running the site has costs, so it is supported in three honest ways: advertising, occasional partner (affiliate) links, and voluntary donations. Ads are clearly labelled. Partner links — where we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you — are disclosed on the page, carry no obligation, and never change our recommendations: we only mention services we believe are genuinely relevant. We will never put a paywall in front of the core knowledge, and we will never let a sponsor decide what we teach. See our Privacy Policy for how data and ad cookies work.

Found a mistake? Tell us

If you spot an error — religious, factual or a broken link — we genuinely want to know so we can fix it. Please reach us via our contact page. Corrections are made promptly.
