بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
تَنزِيلُtanzīlu
(The) revelation ٱلْكِتَـٰبِl-kitābi
(of) the Book مِنَmina
(is) from ٱللَّهِl-lahi
Allah ٱلْعَزِيزِl-ʿazīzi
the All-Mighty ٱلْحَكِيمِl-ḥakīmi
the All-Wise ٢
(The) revelation ٱلْكِتَـٰبِl-kitābi
(of) the Book مِنَmina
(is) from ٱللَّهِl-lahi
Allah ٱلْعَزِيزِl-ʿazīzi
the All-Mighty ٱلْحَكِيمِl-ḥakīmi
the All-Wise ٢
مَاmā
Not خَلَقْنَاkhalaqnā
We created ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwāti
the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَwal-arḍa
and the earth وَمَاwamā
and what بَيْنَهُمَآbaynahumā
(is) between both of them إِلَّاillā
except بِٱلْحَقِّbil-ḥaqi
in truth وَأَجَلٍۢwa-ajalin
and (for) a term مُّسَمًّۭى ۚmusamman
appointed وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīna
But those who كَفَرُوا۟kafarū
disbelieve عَمَّآʿammā
from what أُنذِرُوا۟undhirū
they are warned مُعْرِضُونَmuʿ'riḍūna
(are) turning away ٣
Not خَلَقْنَاkhalaqnā
We created ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwāti
the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَwal-arḍa
and the earth وَمَاwamā
and what بَيْنَهُمَآbaynahumā
(is) between both of them إِلَّاillā
except بِٱلْحَقِّbil-ḥaqi
in truth وَأَجَلٍۢwa-ajalin
and (for) a term مُّسَمًّۭى ۚmusamman
appointed وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīna
But those who كَفَرُوا۟kafarū
disbelieve عَمَّآʿammā
from what أُنذِرُوا۟undhirū
they are warned مُعْرِضُونَmuʿ'riḍūna
(are) turning away ٣
قُلْqul
Say أَرَءَيْتُمara-aytum
Do you see مَّاmā
what تَدْعُونَtadʿūna
you call مِنmin
besides دُونِdūni
besides ٱللَّهِl-lahi
Allah أَرُونِىarūnī
Show me مَاذَاmādhā
what خَلَقُوا۟khalaqū
they have created مِنَmina
of ٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍi
the earth أَمْam
or لَهُمْlahum
for them شِرْكٌۭshir'kun
(is) any share فِىfī
in ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ ۖl-samāwāti
the heavens ٱئْتُونِىi'tūnī
Bring me بِكِتَـٰبٍۢbikitābin
a book مِّنmin
from قَبْلِqabli
before هَـٰذَآhādhā
this أَوْaw
or أَثَـٰرَةٍۢathāratin
a trace مِّنْmin
of عِلْمٍʿil'min
knowledge إِنin
if كُنتُمْkuntum
you are صَـٰدِقِينَṣādiqīna
truthful ٤
Say أَرَءَيْتُمara-aytum
Do you see مَّاmā
what تَدْعُونَtadʿūna
you call مِنmin
besides دُونِdūni
besides ٱللَّهِl-lahi
Allah أَرُونِىarūnī
Show me مَاذَاmādhā
what خَلَقُوا۟khalaqū
they have created مِنَmina
of ٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍi
the earth أَمْam
or لَهُمْlahum
for them شِرْكٌۭshir'kun
(is) any share فِىfī
in ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ ۖl-samāwāti
the heavens ٱئْتُونِىi'tūnī
Bring me بِكِتَـٰبٍۢbikitābin
a book مِّنmin
from قَبْلِqabli
before هَـٰذَآhādhā
this أَوْaw
or أَثَـٰرَةٍۢathāratin
a trace مِّنْmin
of عِلْمٍʿil'min
knowledge إِنin
if كُنتُمْkuntum
you are صَـٰدِقِينَṣādiqīna
truthful ٤
وَمَنْwaman
And who أَضَلُّaḍallu
(is) more astray مِمَّنmimman
than (he) who يَدْعُوا۟yadʿū
calls مِنmin
besides دُونِdūni
besides ٱللَّهِl-lahi
Allah مَنman
who لَّاlā
will not respond يَسْتَجِيبُyastajību
will not respond لَهُۥٓlahu
to him إِلَىٰilā
until يَوْمِyawmi
(the) Day ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِl-qiyāmati
(of) Resurrection وَهُمْwahum
and they عَنʿan
of دُعَآئِهِمْduʿāihim
their calls غَـٰفِلُونَghāfilūna
(are) unaware ٥
And who أَضَلُّaḍallu
(is) more astray مِمَّنmimman
than (he) who يَدْعُوا۟yadʿū
calls مِنmin
besides دُونِdūni
besides ٱللَّهِl-lahi
Allah مَنman
who لَّاlā
will not respond يَسْتَجِيبُyastajību
will not respond لَهُۥٓlahu
to him إِلَىٰilā
until يَوْمِyawmi
(the) Day ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِl-qiyāmati
(of) Resurrection وَهُمْwahum
and they عَنʿan
of دُعَآئِهِمْduʿāihim
their calls غَـٰفِلُونَghāfilūna
(are) unaware ٥
وَإِذَاwa-idhā
And when حُشِرَḥushira
are gathered ٱلنَّاسُl-nāsu
the people كَانُوا۟kānū
they will be لَهُمْlahum
for them أَعْدَآءًۭaʿdāan
enemies وَكَانُوا۟wakānū
and they will be بِعِبَادَتِهِمْbiʿibādatihim
of their worship كَـٰفِرِينَkāfirīna
deniers ٦
And when حُشِرَḥushira
are gathered ٱلنَّاسُl-nāsu
the people كَانُوا۟kānū
they will be لَهُمْlahum
for them أَعْدَآءًۭaʿdāan
enemies وَكَانُوا۟wakānū
and they will be بِعِبَادَتِهِمْbiʿibādatihim
of their worship كَـٰفِرِينَkāfirīna
deniers ٦
وَإِذَاwa-idhā
And when تُتْلَىٰtut'lā
are recited عَلَيْهِمْʿalayhim
to them ءَايَـٰتُنَاāyātunā
Our Verses بَيِّنَـٰتٍۢbayyinātin
clear قَالَqāla
say ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
those who كَفَرُوا۟kafarū
disbelieve لِلْحَقِّlil'ḥaqqi
of the truth لَمَّاlammā
when جَآءَهُمْjāahum
it comes to them هَـٰذَاhādhā
This سِحْرٌۭsiḥ'run
(is) a magic مُّبِينٌmubīnun
clear ٧
And when تُتْلَىٰtut'lā
are recited عَلَيْهِمْʿalayhim
to them ءَايَـٰتُنَاāyātunā
Our Verses بَيِّنَـٰتٍۢbayyinātin
clear قَالَqāla
say ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
those who كَفَرُوا۟kafarū
disbelieve لِلْحَقِّlil'ḥaqqi
of the truth لَمَّاlammā
when جَآءَهُمْjāahum
it comes to them هَـٰذَاhādhā
This سِحْرٌۭsiḥ'run
(is) a magic مُّبِينٌmubīnun
clear ٧
أَمْam
Or يَقُولُونَyaqūlūna
they say ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ ۖif'tarāhu
He has invented it قُلْqul
Say إِنِini
If ٱفْتَرَيْتُهُۥif'taraytuhu
I have invented it فَلَاfalā
then not تَمْلِكُونَtamlikūna
you have power لِىlī
for me مِنَmina
against ٱللَّهِl-lahi
Allah شَيْـًٔا ۖshayan
anything هُوَhuwa
He أَعْلَمُaʿlamu
knows best بِمَاbimā
of what تُفِيضُونَtufīḍūna
you utter فِيهِ ۖfīhi
concerning it كَفَىٰkafā
Sufficient is He بِهِۦbihi
Sufficient is He شَهِيدًۢاshahīdan
(as) a Witness بَيْنِىbaynī
between me وَبَيْنَكُمْ ۖwabaynakum
and between you وَهُوَwahuwa
and He ٱلْغَفُورُl-ghafūru
(is) the Oft-Forgiving ٱلرَّحِيمُl-raḥīmu
the Most Merciful ٨
Or يَقُولُونَyaqūlūna
they say ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ ۖif'tarāhu
He has invented it قُلْqul
Say إِنِini
If ٱفْتَرَيْتُهُۥif'taraytuhu
I have invented it فَلَاfalā
then not تَمْلِكُونَtamlikūna
you have power لِىlī
for me مِنَmina
against ٱللَّهِl-lahi
Allah شَيْـًٔا ۖshayan
anything هُوَhuwa
He أَعْلَمُaʿlamu
knows best بِمَاbimā
of what تُفِيضُونَtufīḍūna
you utter فِيهِ ۖfīhi
concerning it كَفَىٰkafā
Sufficient is He بِهِۦbihi
Sufficient is He شَهِيدًۢاshahīdan
(as) a Witness بَيْنِىbaynī
between me وَبَيْنَكُمْ ۖwabaynakum
and between you وَهُوَwahuwa
and He ٱلْغَفُورُl-ghafūru
(is) the Oft-Forgiving ٱلرَّحِيمُl-raḥīmu
the Most Merciful ٨
قُلْqul
Say مَاmā
Not كُنتُkuntu
I am بِدْعًۭاbid'ʿan
a new (one) مِّنَmina
among ٱلرُّسُلِl-rusuli
the Messengers وَمَآwamā
and not أَدْرِىadrī
I know مَاmā
what يُفْعَلُyuf'ʿalu
will be done بِىbī
with me وَلَاwalā
and not بِكُمْ ۖbikum
with you إِنْin
Not أَتَّبِعُattabiʿu
I follow إِلَّاillā
but مَاmā
what يُوحَىٰٓyūḥā
is revealed إِلَىَّilayya
to me وَمَآwamā
and not أَنَا۠anā
I am إِلَّاillā
but نَذِيرٌۭnadhīrun
a warner مُّبِينٌۭmubīnun
clear ٩
Say مَاmā
Not كُنتُkuntu
I am بِدْعًۭاbid'ʿan
a new (one) مِّنَmina
among ٱلرُّسُلِl-rusuli
the Messengers وَمَآwamā
and not أَدْرِىadrī
I know مَاmā
what يُفْعَلُyuf'ʿalu
will be done بِىbī
with me وَلَاwalā
and not بِكُمْ ۖbikum
with you إِنْin
Not أَتَّبِعُattabiʿu
I follow إِلَّاillā
but مَاmā
what يُوحَىٰٓyūḥā
is revealed إِلَىَّilayya
to me وَمَآwamā
and not أَنَا۠anā
I am إِلَّاillā
but نَذِيرٌۭnadhīrun
a warner مُّبِينٌۭmubīnun
clear ٩
قُلْqul
Say أَرَءَيْتُمْara-aytum
Do you see إِنin
if كَانَkāna
it is مِنْmin
from Allah عِندِʿindi
from Allah ٱللَّهِl-lahi
from Allah وَكَفَرْتُمwakafartum
and you disbelieve بِهِۦbihi
in it وَشَهِدَwashahida
and testifies شَاهِدٌۭshāhidun
a witness مِّنۢmin
from بَنِىٓbanī
(the) Children of Israel إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَis'rāīla
(the) Children of Israel عَلَىٰʿalā
to مِثْلِهِۦmith'lihi
(the) like thereof فَـَٔامَنَfaāmana
then he believed وَٱسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ ۖwa-is'takbartum
while you are arrogant إِنَّinna
Indeed ٱللَّهَl-laha
Allah لَاlā
(does) not يَهْدِىyahdī
guide ٱلْقَوْمَl-qawma
the people ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَl-ẓālimīna
the wrongdoers ١٠
Say أَرَءَيْتُمْara-aytum
Do you see إِنin
if كَانَkāna
it is مِنْmin
from Allah عِندِʿindi
from Allah ٱللَّهِl-lahi
from Allah وَكَفَرْتُمwakafartum
and you disbelieve بِهِۦbihi
in it وَشَهِدَwashahida
and testifies شَاهِدٌۭshāhidun
a witness مِّنۢmin
from بَنِىٓbanī
(the) Children of Israel إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَis'rāīla
(the) Children of Israel عَلَىٰʿalā
to مِثْلِهِۦmith'lihi
(the) like thereof فَـَٔامَنَfaāmana
then he believed وَٱسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ ۖwa-is'takbartum

it had been خَيْرًۭاkhayran
good مَّاmā
not سَبَقُونَآsabaqūnā
they (would) have preceded us إِلَيْهِ ۚilayhi
to it وَإِذْwa-idh
And when لَمْlam
not يَهْتَدُوا۟yahtadū
they (are) guided بِهِۦbihi
by it فَسَيَقُولُونَfasayaqūlūna
they say هَـٰذَآhādhā
This إِفْكٌۭif'kun
(is) a lie قَدِيمٌۭqadīmun
ancient ١١
And say ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
those who كَفَرُوا۟kafarū
disbelieve لِلَّذِينَlilladhīna
of those who ءَامَنُوا۟āmanū
believe لَوْlaw
If كَانَkāna
it had been خَيْرًۭاkhayran
good مَّاmā
not سَبَقُونَآsabaqūnā
they (would) have preceded us إِلَيْهِ ۚilayhi
to it وَإِذْwa-idh
And when لَمْlam
not يَهْتَدُوا۟yahtadū
they (are) guided بِهِۦbihi
by it فَسَيَقُولُونَfasayaqūlūna
they say هَـٰذَآhādhā
This إِفْكٌۭif'kun
(is) a lie قَدِيمٌۭqadīmun
ancient ١١
وَمِنwamin
And before it قَبْلِهِۦqablihi
And before it كِتَـٰبُkitābu
(was the) Scripture مُوسَىٰٓmūsā
(of) Musa إِمَامًۭاimāman
(as) a guide وَرَحْمَةًۭ ۚwaraḥmatan
and a mercy وَهَـٰذَاwahādhā
And this كِتَـٰبٌۭkitābun
(is) a Book مُّصَدِّقٌۭmuṣaddiqun
confirming لِّسَانًاlisānan
(in) language عَرَبِيًّۭاʿarabiyyan
Arabic لِّيُنذِرَliyundhira
to warn ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
those who ظَلَمُوا۟ẓalamū
do wrong وَبُشْرَىٰwabush'rā
and (as) glad tidings لِلْمُحْسِنِينَlil'muḥ'sinīna
for the good-doers ١٢
And before it قَبْلِهِۦqablihi
And before it كِتَـٰبُkitābu
(was the) Scripture مُوسَىٰٓmūsā
(of) Musa إِمَامًۭاimāman
(as) a guide وَرَحْمَةًۭ ۚwaraḥmatan

(in) language عَرَبِيًّۭاʿarabiyyan
Arabic لِّيُنذِرَliyundhira
to warn ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
those who ظَلَمُوا۟ẓalamū
do wrong وَبُشْرَىٰwabush'rā
and (as) glad tidings لِلْمُحْسِنِينَlil'muḥ'sinīna
for the good-doers ١٢
إِنَّinna
Indeed ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
those who قَالُوا۟qālū
say رَبُّنَاrabbunā
Our Lord ٱللَّهُl-lahu
(is) Allah ثُمَّthumma
then ٱسْتَقَـٰمُوا۟is'taqāmū
remain firm فَلَاfalā
then no خَوْفٌkhawfun
fear عَلَيْهِمْʿalayhim
on them وَلَاwalā
and not هُمْhum
they يَحْزَنُونَyaḥzanūna
will grieve ١٣
Indeed ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
those who قَالُوا۟qālū
say رَبُّنَاrabbunā
Our Lord ٱللَّهُl-lahu
(is) Allah ثُمَّthumma
then ٱسْتَقَـٰمُوا۟is'taqāmū
remain firm فَلَاfalā
then no خَوْفٌkhawfun
fear عَلَيْهِمْʿalayhim
on them وَلَاwalā
and not هُمْhum
they يَحْزَنُونَyaḥzanūna
will grieve ١٣
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāika
Those أَصْحَـٰبُaṣḥābu
(are the) companions ٱلْجَنَّةِl-janati
(of) Paradise خَـٰلِدِينَkhālidīna
abiding forever فِيهَاfīhā
therein جَزَآءًۢjazāan
a reward بِمَاbimā
for what كَانُوا۟kānū
they used to يَعْمَلُونَyaʿmalūna
do ١٤
Those أَصْحَـٰبُaṣḥābu
(are the) companions ٱلْجَنَّةِl-janati
(of) Paradise خَـٰلِدِينَkhālidīna
abiding forever فِيهَاfīhā
therein جَزَآءًۢjazāan
a reward بِمَاbimā
for what كَانُوا۟kānū
they used to يَعْمَلُونَyaʿmalūna
do ١٤
وَوَصَّيْنَاwawaṣṣaynā
And We have enjoined ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَl-insāna
(on) man بِوَٰلِدَيْهِbiwālidayhi
to his parents إِحْسَـٰنًا ۖiḥ'sānan
kindness حَمَلَتْهُḥamalathu
Carried him أُمُّهُۥummuhu
his mother كُرْهًۭاkur'han
(with) hardship وَوَضَعَتْهُwawaḍaʿathu
and gave birth to him كُرْهًۭا ۖkur'han
(with) hardship وَحَمْلُهُۥwaḥamluhu
And (the) bearing of him وَفِصَـٰلُهُۥwafiṣāluhu
and (the) weaning of him ثَلَـٰثُونَthalāthūna
(is) thirty شَهْرًا ۚshahran
month(s) حَتَّىٰٓḥattā
until إِذَاidhā
when بَلَغَbalagha
he reaches أَشُدَّهُۥashuddahu
his maturity وَبَلَغَwabalagha
and reaches أَرْبَعِينَarbaʿīna
forty سَنَةًۭsanatan
year(s) قَالَqāla
he says رَبِّrabbi
My Lord أَوْزِعْنِىٓawziʿ'nī
grant me (the) power أَنْan
that أَشْكُرَashkura
I may be grateful نِعْمَتَكَniʿ'mataka
(for) Your favor ٱلَّتِىٓallatī
which أَنْعَمْتَanʿamta
You have bestowed عَلَىَّʿalayya
upon me وَعَلَىٰwaʿalā
and upon وَٰلِدَىَّwālidayya
my parents وَأَنْwa-an
and that أَعْمَلَaʿmala
I do صَـٰلِحًۭاṣāliḥan
righteous (deeds) تَرْضَىٰهُtarḍāhu
which please You وَأَصْلِحْwa-aṣliḥ
and make righteous لِىlī
for me فِىfī
among ذُرِّيَّتِىٓ ۖdhurriyyatī
my offspring إِنِّىinnī
indeed تُبْتُtub'tu
I turn إِلَيْكَilayka
to You وَإِنِّىwa-innī
and indeed, I am مِنَmina
of ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَl-mus'limīna
those who submit ١٥
And We have enjoined ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَl-insāna
(on) man بِوَٰلِدَيْهِbiwālidayhi
to his parents إِحْسَـٰنًا ۖiḥ'sānan
kindness حَمَلَتْهُḥamalathu
Carried him أُمُّهُۥummuhu
his mother كُرْهًۭاkur'han
(with) hardship وَوَضَعَتْهُwawaḍaʿathu
and gave birth to him كُرْهًۭا ۖkur'han
(with) hardship وَحَمْلُهُۥwaḥamluhu

he says رَبِّrabbi
My Lord أَوْزِعْنِىٓawziʿ'nī
grant me (the) power أَنْan
that أَشْكُرَashkura
I may be grateful نِعْمَتَكَniʿ'mataka
(for) Your favor ٱلَّتِىٓallatī
which أَنْعَمْتَanʿamta
You have bestowed عَلَىَّʿalayya
upon me وَعَلَىٰwaʿalā
and upon وَٰلِدَىَّwālidayya
my parents وَأَنْwa-an
and that أَعْمَلَaʿmala
I do صَـٰلِحًۭاṣāliḥan
righteous (deeds) تَرْضَىٰهُtarḍāhu
which please You وَأَصْلِحْwa-aṣliḥ
and make righteous لِىlī
for me فِىfī
among ذُرِّيَّتِىٓ ۖdhurriyyatī
my offspring إِنِّىinnī
indeed تُبْتُtub'tu
I turn إِلَيْكَilayka
to You وَإِنِّىwa-innī
and indeed, I am مِنَmina
of ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَl-mus'limīna
those who submit ١٥
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāika
Those ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
(are) the ones نَتَقَبَّلُnataqabbalu
We will accept عَنْهُمْʿanhum
from them أَحْسَنَaḥsana
(the) best مَاmā
(of) what عَمِلُوا۟ʿamilū
they did وَنَتَجَاوَزُwanatajāwazu
and We will overlook عَنʿan
[from] سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْsayyiātihim
their evil deeds فِىٓfī
among أَصْحَـٰبِaṣḥābi
(the) companions ٱلْجَنَّةِ ۖl-janati
(of) Paradise وَعْدَwaʿda
A promise ٱلصِّدْقِl-ṣid'qi
true ٱلَّذِىalladhī
which كَانُوا۟kānū
they were يُوعَدُونَyūʿadūna
promised ١٦
Those ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
(are) the ones نَتَقَبَّلُnataqabbalu
We will accept عَنْهُمْʿanhum
from them أَحْسَنَaḥsana
(the) best مَاmā
(of) what عَمِلُوا۟ʿamilū
they did وَنَتَجَاوَزُwanatajāwazu
and We will overlook عَنʿan
[from] سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْsayyiātihim
their evil deeds فِىٓfī
among أَصْحَـٰبِaṣḥābi
(the) companions ٱلْجَنَّةِ ۖl-janati
(of) Paradise وَعْدَwaʿda
A promise ٱلصِّدْقِl-ṣid'qi
true ٱلَّذِىalladhī
which كَانُوا۟kānū
they were يُوعَدُونَyūʿadūna
promised ١٦
وَٱلَّذِىwa-alladhī
But the one who قَالَqāla
says لِوَٰلِدَيْهِliwālidayhi
to his parents أُفٍّۢuffin
Uff لَّكُمَآlakumā
to both of you أَتَعِدَانِنِىٓataʿidāninī
Do you promise me أَنْan
that أُخْرَجَukh'raja
I will be brought forth وَقَدْwaqad
and have already passed away خَلَتِkhalati
and have already passed away ٱلْقُرُونُl-qurūnu
the generations مِنmin
before me قَبْلِىqablī
before me وَهُمَاwahumā
And they both يَسْتَغِيثَانِyastaghīthāni
seek help ٱللَّهَl-laha
(of) Allah وَيْلَكَwaylaka
Woe to you ءَامِنْāmin
Believe إِنَّinna
Indeed وَعْدَwaʿda
(the) Promise ٱللَّهِl-lahi
(of) Allah حَقٌّۭḥaqqun
(is) true فَيَقُولُfayaqūlu
But he says مَاmā
Not هَـٰذَآhādhā
(is) this إِلَّآillā
but أَسَـٰطِيرُasāṭīru
(the) stories ٱلْأَوَّلِينَl-awalīna
(of) the former (people) ١٧
But the one who قَالَqāla
says لِوَٰلِدَيْهِliwālidayhi
to his parents أُفٍّۢuffin
Uff لَّكُمَآlakumā
to both of you أَتَعِدَانِنِىٓataʿidāninī
Do you promise me أَنْan
that أُخْرَجَukh'raja
I will be brought forth وَقَدْwaqad
and have already passed away خَلَتِkhalati
and have already passed away ٱلْقُرُونُl-qurūnu
the generations مِنmin
before me قَبْلِىqablī
before me وَهُمَاwahumā
And they both يَسْتَغِيثَانِyastaghīthāni
seek help ٱللَّهَl-laha
(of) Allah وَيْلَكَwaylaka
Woe to you ءَامِنْāmin
Believe إِنَّinna
Indeed وَعْدَwaʿda
(the) Promise ٱللَّهِl-lahi
(of) Allah حَقٌّۭḥaqqun
(is) true فَيَقُولُfayaqūlu
But he says مَاmā
Not هَـٰذَآhādhā
(is) this إِلَّآillā
but أَسَـٰطِيرُasāṭīru
(the) stories ٱلْأَوَّلِينَl-awalīna
(of) the former (people) ١٧
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāika
Those ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
(are) the ones حَقَّḥaqqa
(has) proved true عَلَيْهِمُʿalayhimu
against them ٱلْقَوْلُl-qawlu
the word فِىٓfī
among أُمَمٍۢumamin
nations قَدْqad
(that) already passed away خَلَتْkhalat
(that) already passed away مِنmin
before them قَبْلِهِمqablihim
before them مِّنَmina
of ٱلْجِنِّl-jini
(the) jinn وَٱلْإِنسِ ۖwal-insi
and the men إِنَّهُمْinnahum
Indeed, they كَانُوا۟kānū
are خَـٰسِرِينَkhāsirīna
(the) losers ١٨
Those ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
(are) the ones حَقَّḥaqqa
(has) proved true عَلَيْهِمُʿalayhimu
against them ٱلْقَوْلُl-qawlu
the word فِىٓfī
among أُمَمٍۢumamin
nations قَدْqad
(that) already passed away خَلَتْkhalat
(that) already passed away مِنmin
before them قَبْلِهِمqablihim
before them مِّنَmina
of ٱلْجِنِّl-jini
(the) jinn وَٱلْإِنسِ ۖwal-insi
and the men إِنَّهُمْinnahum
Indeed, they كَانُوا۟kānū
are خَـٰسِرِينَkhāsirīna
(the) losers ١٨
وَلِكُلٍّۢwalikullin
And for all دَرَجَـٰتٌۭdarajātun
(are) degrees مِّمَّاmimmā
for what عَمِلُوا۟ ۖʿamilū
they did وَلِيُوَفِّيَهُمْwaliyuwaffiyahum
and that He may fully compensate them أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْaʿmālahum
(for) their deeds وَهُمْwahum
and they لَاlā
will not be wronged يُظْلَمُونَyuẓ'lamūna
will not be wronged ١٩
And for all دَرَجَـٰتٌۭdarajātun
(are) degrees مِّمَّاmimmā
for what عَمِلُوا۟ ۖʿamilū
they did وَلِيُوَفِّيَهُمْwaliyuwaffiyahum
and that He may fully compensate them أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْaʿmālahum
(for) their deeds وَهُمْwahum
and they لَاlā
will not be wronged يُظْلَمُونَyuẓ'lamūna
will not be wronged ١٩
وَيَوْمَwayawma
And (the) Day يُعْرَضُyuʿ'raḍu
will be exposed ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
those who كَفَرُوا۟kafarū
disbelieved عَلَىʿalā
to ٱلنَّارِl-nāri
the Fire أَذْهَبْتُمْadhhabtum
You exhausted طَيِّبَـٰتِكُمْṭayyibātikum
your good things فِىfī
in حَيَاتِكُمُḥayātikumu
your life ٱلدُّنْيَاl-dun'yā
(of) the world وَٱسْتَمْتَعْتُمwa-is'tamtaʿtum
and you took your pleasures بِهَاbihā
therein فَٱلْيَوْمَfal-yawma
So today تُجْزَوْنَtuj'zawna
you will be recompensed عَذَابَʿadhāba
(with) a punishment ٱلْهُونِl-hūni
humiliating بِمَاbimā
because كُنتُمْkuntum
you were تَسْتَكْبِرُونَtastakbirūna
arrogant فِىfī
in ٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍi
the earth بِغَيْرِbighayri
without ٱلْحَقِّl-ḥaqi
[the] right وَبِمَاwabimā
and because كُنتُمْkuntum
you were تَفْسُقُونَtafsuqūna
defiantly disobedient ٢٠
And (the) Day يُعْرَضُyuʿ'raḍu
will be exposed ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
those who كَفَرُوا۟kafarū
disbelieved عَلَىʿalā
to ٱلنَّارِl-nāri
the Fire أَذْهَبْتُمْadhhabtum
You exhausted طَيِّبَـٰتِكُمْṭayyibātikum
your good things فِىfī
in حَيَاتِكُمُḥayātikumu
your life ٱلدُّنْيَاl-dun'yā
(of) the world وَٱسْتَمْتَعْتُمwa-is'tamtaʿtum
and you took your pleasures بِهَاbihā
therein فَٱلْيَوْمَfal-yawma
So today تُجْزَوْنَtuj'zawna
you will be recompensed عَذَابَʿadhāba
(with) a punishment ٱلْهُونِl-hūni
humiliating بِمَاbimā
because كُنتُمْkuntum
you were تَسْتَكْبِرُونَtastakbirūna
arrogant فِىfī
in ٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍi
the earth بِغَيْرِbighayri
without ٱلْحَقِّl-ḥaqi
[the] right وَبِمَاwabimā
and because كُنتُمْkuntum
you were تَفْسُقُونَtafsuqūna
defiantly disobedient ٢٠
۞ وَٱذْكُرْwa-udh'kur
And mention أَخَاakhā
(the) brother عَادٍʿādin
(of) Aad إِذْidh
when أَنذَرَandhara
he warned قَوْمَهُۥqawmahu
his people بِٱلْأَحْقَافِbil-aḥqāfi
in the Al-Ahqaf وَقَدْwaqad
and had already passed away خَلَتِkhalati
and had already passed away ٱلنُّذُرُl-nudhuru
[the] warners مِنۢmin
before him بَيْنِbayni
before him يَدَيْهِyadayhi
before him وَمِنْwamin
and after him خَلْفِهِۦٓkhalfihi
and after him أَلَّاallā
That not تَعْبُدُوٓا۟taʿbudū
you worship إِلَّاillā
except ٱللَّهَl-laha
Allah إِنِّىٓinnī
Indeed, I أَخَافُakhāfu
[I] fear عَلَيْكُمْʿalaykum
for you عَذَابَʿadhāba
a punishment يَوْمٍyawmin
(of) a Day عَظِيمٍۢʿaẓīmin
Great ٢١
And mention أَخَاakhā
(the) brother عَادٍʿādin
(of) Aad إِذْidh
when أَنذَرَandhara
he warned قَوْمَهُۥqawmahu
his people بِٱلْأَحْقَافِbil-aḥqāfi
in the Al-Ahqaf وَقَدْwaqad
and had already passed away خَلَتِkhalati
and had already passed away ٱلنُّذُرُl-nudhuru
[the] warners مِنۢmin
before him بَيْنِbayni
before him يَدَيْهِyadayhi
before him وَمِنْwamin
and after him خَلْفِهِۦٓkhalfihi
and after him أَلَّاallā
That not تَعْبُدُوٓا۟taʿbudū
you worship إِلَّاillā
except ٱللَّهَl-laha
Allah إِنِّىٓinnī
Indeed, I أَخَافُakhāfu
[I] fear عَلَيْكُمْʿalaykum
for you عَذَابَʿadhāba
a punishment يَوْمٍyawmin
(of) a Day عَظِيمٍۢʿaẓīmin
Great ٢١
قَالُوٓا۟qālū
They said أَجِئْتَنَاaji'tanā
Have you come to us لِتَأْفِكَنَاlitafikanā
to turn us away عَنْʿan
from ءَالِهَتِنَاālihatinā
our gods فَأْتِنَاfatinā
Then bring us بِمَاbimā
what تَعِدُنَآtaʿidunā
you threaten us إِنin
if كُنتَkunta
you are مِنَmina
of ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَl-ṣādiqīna
the truthful ٢٢
They said أَجِئْتَنَاaji'tanā
Have you come to us لِتَأْفِكَنَاlitafikanā
to turn us away عَنْʿan
from ءَالِهَتِنَاālihatinā
our gods فَأْتِنَاfatinā
Then bring us بِمَاbimā
what تَعِدُنَآtaʿidunā
you threaten us إِنin
if كُنتَkunta
you are مِنَmina
of ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَl-ṣādiqīna
the truthful ٢٢
قَالَqāla
He said إِنَّمَاinnamā
Only ٱلْعِلْمُl-ʿil'mu
the knowledge عِندَʿinda
(is) with Allah ٱللَّهِl-lahi
(is) with Allah وَأُبَلِّغُكُمwa-uballighukum
and I convey to you مَّآmā
what أُرْسِلْتُur'sil'tu
I am sent بِهِۦbihi
with it وَلَـٰكِنِّىٓwalākinnī
but أَرَىٰكُمْarākum
I see you قَوْمًۭاqawman
a people تَجْهَلُونَtajhalūna
ignorant ٢٣
He said إِنَّمَاinnamā
Only ٱلْعِلْمُl-ʿil'mu
the knowledge عِندَʿinda
(is) with Allah ٱللَّهِl-lahi
(is) with Allah وَأُبَلِّغُكُمwa-uballighukum
and I convey to you مَّآmā
what أُرْسِلْتُur'sil'tu
I am sent بِهِۦbihi
with it وَلَـٰكِنِّىٓwalākinnī
but أَرَىٰكُمْarākum
I see you قَوْمًۭاqawman
a people تَجْهَلُونَtajhalūna
ignorant ٢٣
فَلَمَّاfalammā
Then when رَأَوْهُra-awhu
they saw it عَارِضًۭاʿāriḍan
(as) a cloud مُّسْتَقْبِلَmus'taqbila
approaching أَوْدِيَتِهِمْawdiyatihim
their valleys قَالُوا۟qālū
they said هَـٰذَاhādhā
This عَارِضٌۭʿāriḍun
(is) a cloud مُّمْطِرُنَا ۚmum'ṭirunā
bringing us rain بَلْbal
Nay هُوَhuwa
it مَاmā
(is) what ٱسْتَعْجَلْتُمis'taʿjaltum
you were asking it to be hastened بِهِۦ ۖbihi
you were asking it to be hastened رِيحٌۭrīḥun
a wind فِيهَاfīhā
in it عَذَابٌʿadhābun
(is) a punishment أَلِيمٌۭalīmun
painful ٢٤
Then when رَأَوْهُra-awhu
they saw it عَارِضًۭاʿāriḍan
(as) a cloud مُّسْتَقْبِلَmus'taqbila
approaching أَوْدِيَتِهِمْawdiyatihim
their valleys قَالُوا۟qālū
they said هَـٰذَاhādhā
This عَارِضٌۭʿāriḍun
(is) a cloud مُّمْطِرُنَا ۚmum'ṭirunā
bringing us rain بَلْbal
Nay هُوَhuwa
it مَاmā
(is) what ٱسْتَعْجَلْتُمis'taʿjaltum
you were asking it to be hastened بِهِۦ ۖbihi
you were asking it to be hastened رِيحٌۭrīḥun
a wind فِيهَاfīhā
in it عَذَابٌʿadhābun
(is) a punishment أَلِيمٌۭalīmun
painful ٢٤
تُدَمِّرُtudammiru
Destroying كُلَّkulla
every شَىْءٍۭshayin
thing بِأَمْرِbi-amri
by (the) command رَبِّهَاrabbihā
(of) its Lord فَأَصْبَحُوا۟fa-aṣbaḥū
Then they became (such) لَاlā
not يُرَىٰٓyurā
is seen إِلَّاillā
except مَسَـٰكِنُهُمْ ۚmasākinuhum
their dwellings كَذَٰلِكَkadhālika
Thus نَجْزِىnajzī
We recompense ٱلْقَوْمَl-qawma
the people ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَl-muj'rimīna
[the] criminals ٢٥
Destroying كُلَّkulla
every شَىْءٍۭshayin
thing بِأَمْرِbi-amri
by (the) command رَبِّهَاrabbihā
(of) its Lord فَأَصْبَحُوا۟fa-aṣbaḥū
Then they became (such) لَاlā
not يُرَىٰٓyurā
is seen إِلَّاillā
except مَسَـٰكِنُهُمْ ۚmasākinuhum
their dwellings كَذَٰلِكَkadhālika
Thus نَجْزِىnajzī
We recompense ٱلْقَوْمَl-qawma
the people ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَl-muj'rimīna
[the] criminals ٢٥
وَلَقَدْwalaqad
And certainly مَكَّنَّـٰهُمْmakkannāhum
We had established them فِيمَآfīmā
in what إِنin
not مَّكَّنَّـٰكُمْmakkannākum
We have established you فِيهِfīhi
in it وَجَعَلْنَاwajaʿalnā
and We made لَهُمْlahum
for them سَمْعًۭاsamʿan
hearing وَأَبْصَـٰرًۭاwa-abṣāran
and vision وَأَفْـِٔدَةًۭwa-afidatan
and hearts فَمَآfamā
But not أَغْنَىٰaghnā
availed عَنْهُمْʿanhum
them سَمْعُهُمْsamʿuhum
their hearing وَلَآwalā
and not أَبْصَـٰرُهُمْabṣāruhum
their vision وَلَآwalā
and not أَفْـِٔدَتُهُمafidatuhum
their hearts مِّنmin
any شَىْءٍshayin
thing إِذْidh
when كَانُوا۟kānū
they were يَجْحَدُونَyajḥadūna
rejecting بِـَٔايَـٰتِbiāyāti
(the) Signs ٱللَّهِl-lahi
(of) Allah وَحَاقَwaḥāqa
and enveloped بِهِمbihim
them مَّاmā
what كَانُوا۟kānū
they used to بِهِۦbihi
[at it] يَسْتَهْزِءُونَyastahziūna
ridicule ٢٦
And certainly مَكَّنَّـٰهُمْmakkannāhum
We had established them فِيمَآfīmā
in what إِنin
not مَّكَّنَّـٰكُمْmakkannākum
We have established you فِيهِfīhi
in it وَجَعَلْنَاwajaʿalnā
and We made لَهُمْlahum
for them سَمْعًۭاsamʿan
hearing وَأَبْصَـٰرًۭاwa-abṣāran
and vision وَأَفْـِٔدَةًۭwa-afidatan
and hearts فَمَآfamā
But not أَغْنَىٰaghnā
availed عَنْهُمْʿanhum
them سَمْعُهُمْsamʿuhum
their hearing وَلَآwalā
and not أَبْصَـٰرُهُمْabṣāruhum
their vision وَلَآwalā
and not أَفْـِٔدَتُهُمafidatuhum
their hearts مِّنmin
any شَىْءٍshayin
thing إِذْidh
when كَانُوا۟kānū
they were يَجْحَدُونَyajḥadūna
rejecting بِـَٔايَـٰتِbiāyāti
(the) Signs ٱللَّهِl-lahi
(of) Allah وَحَاقَwaḥāqa
and enveloped بِهِمbihim
them مَّاmā
what كَانُوا۟kānū
they used to بِهِۦbihi
[at it] يَسْتَهْزِءُونَyastahziūna
ridicule ٢٦
وَلَقَدْwalaqad
And certainly أَهْلَكْنَاahlaknā
We destroyed مَاmā
what حَوْلَكُمḥawlakum
surrounds you مِّنَmina
of ٱلْقُرَىٰl-qurā
the towns وَصَرَّفْنَاwaṣarrafnā
and We have diversified ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِl-āyāti
the Signs لَعَلَّهُمْlaʿallahum
that they may يَرْجِعُونَyarjiʿūna
return ٢٧
And certainly أَهْلَكْنَاahlaknā
We destroyed مَاmā
what حَوْلَكُمḥawlakum
surrounds you مِّنَmina
of ٱلْقُرَىٰl-qurā
the towns وَصَرَّفْنَاwaṣarrafnā
and We have diversified ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِl-āyāti
the Signs لَعَلَّهُمْlaʿallahum
that they may يَرْجِعُونَyarjiʿūna
return ٢٧
فَلَوْلَاfalawlā
Then why (did) not نَصَرَهُمُnaṣarahumu
help them ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
those whom ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ittakhadhū
they had taken مِنmin
besides دُونِdūni
besides ٱللَّهِl-lahi
Allah قُرْبَانًاqur'bānan
gods as a way of approach ءَالِهَةًۢ ۖālihatan
gods as a way of approach بَلْbal
Nay ضَلُّوا۟ḍallū
they were lost عَنْهُمْ ۚʿanhum
from them وَذَٰلِكَwadhālika
And that إِفْكُهُمْif'kuhum
(was) their falsehood وَمَاwamā
and what كَانُوا۟kānū
they were يَفْتَرُونَyaftarūna
inventing ٢٨
Then why (did) not نَصَرَهُمُnaṣarahumu
help them ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
those whom ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ittakhadhū
they had taken مِنmin
besides دُونِdūni
besides ٱللَّهِl-lahi
Allah قُرْبَانًاqur'bānan
gods as a way of approach ءَالِهَةًۢ ۖālihatan
gods as a way of approach بَلْbal
Nay ضَلُّوا۟ḍallū
they were lost عَنْهُمْ ۚʿanhum
from them وَذَٰلِكَwadhālika
And that إِفْكُهُمْif'kuhum
(was) their falsehood وَمَاwamā
and what كَانُوا۟kānū
they were يَفْتَرُونَyaftarūna
inventing ٢٨
وَإِذْwa-idh
And when صَرَفْنَآṣarafnā
We directed إِلَيْكَilayka
to you نَفَرًۭاnafaran
a party مِّنَmina
of ٱلْجِنِّl-jini
the jinn يَسْتَمِعُونَyastamiʿūna
listening ٱلْقُرْءَانَl-qur'āna
(to) the Quran فَلَمَّاfalammā
And when حَضَرُوهُḥaḍarūhu
they attended it قَالُوٓا۟qālū
they said أَنصِتُوا۟ ۖanṣitū
Listen quietly فَلَمَّاfalammā
And when قُضِىَquḍiya
it was concluded وَلَّوْا۟wallaw
they turned back إِلَىٰilā
to قَوْمِهِمqawmihim
their people مُّنذِرِينَmundhirīna
(as) warners ٢٩
And when صَرَفْنَآṣarafnā
We directed إِلَيْكَilayka
to you نَفَرًۭاnafaran
a party مِّنَmina
of ٱلْجِنِّl-jini
the jinn يَسْتَمِعُونَyastamiʿūna
listening ٱلْقُرْءَانَl-qur'āna
(to) the Quran فَلَمَّاfalammā
And when حَضَرُوهُḥaḍarūhu
they attended it قَالُوٓا۟qālū
they said أَنصِتُوا۟ ۖanṣitū
Listen quietly فَلَمَّاfalammā
And when قُضِىَquḍiya
it was concluded وَلَّوْا۟wallaw
they turned back إِلَىٰilā
to قَوْمِهِمqawmihim
their people مُّنذِرِينَmundhirīna
(as) warners ٢٩
قَالُوا۟qālū
They said يَـٰقَوْمَنَآyāqawmanā
O our people إِنَّاinnā
Indeed, we سَمِعْنَاsamiʿ'nā
[we] have heard كِتَـٰبًاkitāban
a Book أُنزِلَunzila
revealed مِنۢmin
after بَعْدِbaʿdi
after مُوسَىٰmūsā
Musa مُصَدِّقًۭاmuṣaddiqan
confirming لِّمَاlimā
what بَيْنَbayna
(was) before it يَدَيْهِyadayhi
(was) before it يَهْدِىٓyahdī
guiding إِلَىilā
to ٱلْحَقِّl-ḥaqi
the truth وَإِلَىٰwa-ilā
and to طَرِيقٍۢṭarīqin
a Path مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢmus'taqīmin
Straight ٣٠
They said يَـٰقَوْمَنَآyāqawmanā
O our people إِنَّاinnā
Indeed, we سَمِعْنَاsamiʿ'nā
[we] have heard كِتَـٰبًاkitāban
a Book أُنزِلَunzila
revealed مِنۢmin
after بَعْدِbaʿdi
after مُوسَىٰmūsā
Musa مُصَدِّقًۭاmuṣaddiqan
confirming لِّمَاlimā
what بَيْنَbayna
(was) before it يَدَيْهِyadayhi
(was) before it يَهْدِىٓyahdī
guiding إِلَىilā
to ٱلْحَقِّl-ḥaqi
the truth وَإِلَىٰwa-ilā
and to طَرِيقٍۢṭarīqin
a Path مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢmus'taqīmin
Straight ٣٠
يَـٰقَوْمَنَآyāqawmanā
O our people أَجِيبُوا۟ajībū
Respond دَاعِىَdāʿiya
(to the) caller ٱللَّهِl-lahi
(of) Allah وَءَامِنُوا۟waāminū
and believe بِهِۦbihi
in him يَغْفِرْyaghfir
He will forgive لَكُمlakum
for you مِّنmin
of ذُنُوبِكُمْdhunūbikum
your sins وَيُجِرْكُمwayujir'kum
and will protect you مِّنْmin
from عَذَابٍʿadhābin
a punishment أَلِيمٍۢalīmin
painful ٣١
O our people أَجِيبُوا۟ajībū
Respond دَاعِىَdāʿiya
(to the) caller ٱللَّهِl-lahi
(of) Allah وَءَامِنُوا۟waāminū
and believe بِهِۦbihi
in him يَغْفِرْyaghfir
He will forgive لَكُمlakum
for you مِّنmin
of ذُنُوبِكُمْdhunūbikum
your sins وَيُجِرْكُمwayujir'kum
and will protect you مِّنْmin
from عَذَابٍʿadhābin
a punishment أَلِيمٍۢalīmin
painful ٣١
وَمَنwaman
And whoever لَّاlā
(does) not يُجِبْyujib
respond دَاعِىَdāʿiya
(to the) caller ٱللَّهِl-lahi
(of) Allah فَلَيْسَfalaysa
then not بِمُعْجِزٍۢbimuʿ'jizin
he can escape فِىfī
in ٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍi
the earth وَلَيْسَwalaysa
and not لَهُۥlahu
for him مِنmin
besides Him دُونِهِۦٓdūnihi
besides Him أَوْلِيَآءُ ۚawliyāu
protectors أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāika
Those فِىfī
(are) in ضَلَـٰلٍۢḍalālin
error مُّبِينٍmubīnin
clear ٣٢
And whoever لَّاlā
(does) not يُجِبْyujib
respond دَاعِىَdāʿiya
(to the) caller ٱللَّهِl-lahi
(of) Allah فَلَيْسَfalaysa
then not بِمُعْجِزٍۢbimuʿ'jizin
he can escape فِىfī
in ٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍi
the earth وَلَيْسَwalaysa
and not لَهُۥlahu
for him مِنmin
besides Him دُونِهِۦٓdūnihi
besides Him أَوْلِيَآءُ ۚawliyāu
protectors أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāika
Those فِىfī
(are) in ضَلَـٰلٍۢḍalālin
error مُّبِينٍmubīnin
clear ٣٢
أَوَلَمْawalam
Do not يَرَوْا۟yaraw
they see أَنَّanna
that ٱللَّهَl-laha
Allah ٱلَّذِىalladhī
(is) the One Who خَلَقَkhalaqa
created ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwāti
the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَwal-arḍa
and the earth وَلَمْwalam
and (was) not يَعْىَyaʿya
tired بِخَلْقِهِنَّbikhalqihinna
by their creation بِقَـٰدِرٍbiqādirin
(is) able عَلَىٰٓʿalā
to give life أَنan
to give life يُحْـِۧىَyuḥ'yiya
to give life ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ ۚl-mawtā
(to) the dead بَلَىٰٓbalā
Yes إِنَّهُۥinnahu
indeed He عَلَىٰʿalā
(is) on كُلِّkulli
every شَىْءٍۢshayin
thing قَدِيرٌۭqadīrun
All-Powerful ٣٣
Do not يَرَوْا۟yaraw
they see أَنَّanna
that ٱللَّهَl-laha
Allah ٱلَّذِىalladhī
(is) the One Who خَلَقَkhalaqa
created ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwāti

وَيَوْمَwayawma
And (the) Day يُعْرَضُyuʿ'raḍu
are exposed ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
those who كَفَرُوا۟kafarū
disbelieved عَلَىʿalā
to ٱلنَّارِl-nāri
the Fire أَلَيْسَalaysa
Is not هَـٰذَاhādhā
this بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖbil-ḥaqi
the truth قَالُوا۟qālū
They will say بَلَىٰbalā
Yes وَرَبِّنَا ۚwarabbinā
by our Lord قَالَqāla
He will say فَذُوقُوا۟fadhūqū
Then taste ٱلْعَذَابَl-ʿadhāba
the punishment بِمَاbimā
because كُنتُمْkuntum
you used to تَكْفُرُونَtakfurūna
disbelieve ٣٤
And (the) Day يُعْرَضُyuʿ'raḍu
are exposed ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
those who كَفَرُوا۟kafarū
disbelieved عَلَىʿalā
to ٱلنَّارِl-nāri
the Fire أَلَيْسَalaysa
Is not هَـٰذَاhādhā
this بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖbil-ḥaqi
the truth قَالُوا۟qālū
They will say بَلَىٰbalā
Yes وَرَبِّنَا ۚwarabbinā
by our Lord قَالَqāla
He will say فَذُوقُوا۟fadhūqū
Then taste ٱلْعَذَابَl-ʿadhāba
the punishment بِمَاbimā
because كُنتُمْkuntum
you used to تَكْفُرُونَtakfurūna
disbelieve ٣٤
فَٱصْبِرْfa-iṣ'bir
So be patient كَمَاkamā
as صَبَرَṣabara
had patience أُو۟لُوا۟ulū
those of determination ٱلْعَزْمِl-ʿazmi
those of determination مِنَmina
of ٱلرُّسُلِl-rusuli
the Messengers وَلَاwalā
and (do) not تَسْتَعْجِلtastaʿjil
seek to hasten لَّهُمْ ۚlahum
for them كَأَنَّهُمْka-annahum
As if they had يَوْمَyawma
(the) Day يَرَوْنَyarawna
they see مَاmā
what يُوعَدُونَyūʿadūna
they were promised لَمْlam
not يَلْبَثُوٓا۟yalbathū
remained إِلَّاillā
except سَاعَةًۭsāʿatan
an hour مِّنmin
of نَّهَارٍۭ ۚnahārin
a day بَلَـٰغٌۭ ۚbalāghun
A notification فَهَلْfahal
But will يُهْلَكُyuh'laku
(any) be destroyed إِلَّاillā
except ٱلْقَوْمُl-qawmu
the people ٱلْفَـٰسِقُونَl-fāsiqūna
the defiantly disobedient ٣٥
So be patient كَمَاkamā
as صَبَرَṣabara
had patience أُو۟لُوا۟ulū
those of determination ٱلْعَزْمِl-ʿazmi
those of determination مِنَmina
of ٱلرُّسُلِl-rusuli
the Messengers وَلَاwalā
and (do) not تَسْتَعْجِلtastaʿjil
seek to hasten لَّهُمْ ۚlahum
for them كَأَنَّهُمْka-annahum
As if they had يَوْمَyawma
(the) Day يَرَوْنَyarawna
they see مَاmā
what يُوعَدُونَyūʿadūna
they were promised لَمْlam
not يَلْبَثُوٓا۟yalbathū
remained إِلَّاillā
except سَاعَةًۭsāʿatan
an hour مِّنmin
of نَّهَارٍۭ ۚnahārin
a day بَلَـٰغٌۭ ۚbalāghun
A notification فَهَلْfahal
But will يُهْلَكُyuh'laku
(any) be destroyed إِلَّاillā
except ٱلْقَوْمُl-qawmu
the people ٱلْفَـٰسِقُونَl-fāsiqūna
the defiantly disobedient ٣٥
