يَسْـَٔلُونَكَyasalūnaka They ask youعَنِʿani aboutٱلْأَنفَالِ ۖl-anfāli the spoils of warقُلِquli Sayٱلْأَنفَالُl-anfālu The spoils of warلِلَّهِlillahi (are) for Allahوَٱلرَّسُولِ ۖwal-rasūli and the Messengerفَٱتَّقُوا۟fa-ittaqū So fearٱللَّهَl-laha Allahوَأَصْلِحُوا۟wa-aṣliḥū and set rightذَاتَdhāta thatبَيْنِكُمْ ۖbaynikum (which is) between youوَأَطِيعُوا۟wa-aṭīʿū and obeyٱللَّهَl-laha Allahوَرَسُولَهُۥٓwarasūlahu and His Messengerإِنin ifكُنتُمkuntum you areمُّؤْمِنِينَmu'minīna believers١
إِنَّمَاinnamā Onlyٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَl-mu'minūna the believersٱلَّذِينَalladhīna (are) those whoإِذَاidhā whenذُكِرَdhukira is mentionedٱللَّهُl-lahu Allahوَجِلَتْwajilat feel fearقُلُوبُهُمْqulūbuhum their heartsوَإِذَاwa-idhā and whenتُلِيَتْtuliyat are recitedعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhim to themءَايَـٰتُهُۥāyātuhu His Versesزَادَتْهُمْzādathum they increase themإِيمَـٰنًۭاīmānan (in) faithوَعَلَىٰwaʿalā and uponرَبِّهِمْrabbihim their Lordيَتَوَكَّلُونَyatawakkalūna they put their trust٢
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna Those whoيُقِيمُونَyuqīmūna establishٱلصَّلَوٰةَl-ṣalata the prayerوَمِمَّاwamimmā and out of whatرَزَقْنَـٰهُمْrazaqnāhum We have provided themيُنفِقُونَyunfiqūna they spend٣
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāika Those هُمُhumu they areٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَl-mu'minūna the believersحَقًّۭا ۚḥaqqan (in) truthلَّهُمْlahum For themدَرَجَـٰتٌdarajātun (are) ranksعِندَʿinda withرَبِّهِمْrabbihim their Lordوَمَغْفِرَةٌۭwamaghfiratun and forgivenessوَرِزْقٌۭwariz'qun and a provisionكَرِيمٌۭkarīmun noble٤
كَمَآkamā Asأَخْرَجَكَakhrajaka brought you outرَبُّكَrabbuka your Lordمِنۢmin fromبَيْتِكَbaytika your homeبِٱلْحَقِّbil-ḥaqi in truthوَإِنَّwa-inna while indeedفَرِيقًۭاfarīqan a partyمِّنَmina amongٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَl-mu'minīna the believersلَكَـٰرِهُونَlakārihūna certainly disliked٥
يُجَـٰدِلُونَكَyujādilūnaka They dispute with youفِىfī concerningٱلْحَقِّl-ḥaqi the truthبَعْدَ مَاbaʿdamā after whatتَبَيَّنَtabayyana was made clearكَأَنَّمَاka-annamā as ifيُسَاقُونَyusāqūna they were drivenإِلَىilā toٱلْمَوْتِl-mawti [the] deathوَهُمْwahum while theyيَنظُرُونَyanẓurūna (were) looking٦
وَإِذْwa-idh And whenيَعِدُكُمُyaʿidukumu promised youٱللَّهُl-lahu Allahإِحْدَىiḥ'dā oneٱلطَّآئِفَتَيْنِl-ṭāifatayni (of) the two groups أَنَّهَاannahā that it (would be)لَكُمْlakum for you وَتَوَدُّونَwatawaddūna and you wishedأَنَّanna thatغَيْرَghayra (one) other thanذَاتِdhāti thatٱلشَّوْكَةِl-shawkati (of) the armedتَكُونُtakūnu would beلَكُمْlakum for youوَيُرِيدُwayurīdu But intendedٱللَّهُl-lahu Allahأَنan toيُحِقَّyuḥiqqa justifyٱلْحَقَّl-ḥaqa the truthبِكَلِمَـٰتِهِۦbikalimātihi by His wordsوَيَقْطَعَwayaqṭaʿa and cut offدَابِرَdābira (the) rootsٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَl-kāfirīna (of) the disbelievers٧
لِيُحِقَّliyuḥiqqa That He might justifyٱلْحَقَّl-ḥaqa the truthوَيُبْطِلَwayub'ṭila and prove falseٱلْبَـٰطِلَl-bāṭila the falsehoodوَلَوْwalaw even ifكَرِهَkariha disliked (it)ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَl-muj'rimūna the criminals٨
إِذْidh Whenتَسْتَغِيثُونَtastaghīthūna you were seeking helpرَبَّكُمْrabbakum (of) your Lordفَٱسْتَجَابَfa-is'tajāba and He answeredلَكُمْlakum [to] youأَنِّىannī Indeed, I amمُمِدُّكُمmumiddukum going to reinforce youبِأَلْفٍۢbi-alfin with a thousandمِّنَmina ofٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِl-malāikati the Angelsمُرْدِفِينَmur'difīna one after another٩
وَمَاwamā And notجَعَلَهُjaʿalahu (it was) madeٱللَّهُl-lahu (by) Allahإِلَّاillā butبُشْرَىٰbush'rā good tidingsوَلِتَطْمَئِنَّwalitaṭma-inna and so that might be at restبِهِۦbihi with itقُلُوبُكُمْ ۚqulūbukum your heartsوَمَاwamā And (there is) noٱلنَّصْرُl-naṣru [the] victoryإِلَّاillā exceptمِنْmin fromعِندِʿindi [of]ٱللَّهِ ۚl-lahi Allahإِنَّinna Indeedٱللَّهَl-laha Allahعَزِيزٌʿazīzun (is) All-Mightyحَكِيمٌḥakīmun All-Wise١٠
إِذْidh Whenيُغَشِّيكُمُyughashīkumu He covered youٱلنُّعَاسَl-nuʿāsa with [the] slumberأَمَنَةًۭamanatan a securityمِّنْهُmin'hu from Himوَيُنَزِّلُwayunazzilu and sent downعَلَيْكُمʿalaykum upon youمِّنَmina fromٱلسَّمَآءِl-samāi the skyمَآءًۭmāan waterلِّيُطَهِّرَكُمliyuṭahhirakum so that He may purify youبِهِۦbihi with itوَيُذْهِبَwayudh'hiba and take awayعَنكُمْʿankum from youرِجْزَrij'za evil (suggestions)ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِl-shayṭāni (of) the Shaitaanوَلِيَرْبِطَwaliyarbiṭa And to strengthenعَلَىٰʿalā [on]قُلُوبِكُمْqulūbikum your heartsوَيُثَبِّتَwayuthabbita and make firmبِهِbihi with itٱلْأَقْدَامَl-aqdāma your feet١١
إِذْidh Whenيُوحِىyūḥī inspiredرَبُّكَrabbuka your Lordإِلَىilā toٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِl-malāikati the Angelsأَنِّىannī I amمَعَكُمْmaʿakum with youفَثَبِّتُوا۟fathabbitū so strengthenٱلَّذِينَalladhīna those whoءَامَنُوا۟ ۚāmanū believedسَأُلْقِىsa-ul'qī I will castفِىfī inقُلُوبِqulūbi (the) heartsٱلَّذِينَalladhīna (of) those whoكَفَرُوا۟kafarū disbelieved ٱلرُّعْبَl-ruʿ'ba the terrorفَٱضْرِبُوا۟fa-iḍ'ribū so strikeفَوْقَfawqa aboveٱلْأَعْنَاقِl-aʿnāqi the necksوَٱضْرِبُوا۟wa-iḍ'ribū and strikeمِنْهُمْmin'hum from themكُلَّkulla everyبَنَانٍۢbanānin fingertip[s]١٢
ذَٰلِكَdhālika Thatبِأَنَّهُمْbi-annahum (is) because theyشَآقُّوا۟shāqqū opposedٱللَّهَl-laha Allahوَرَسُولَهُۥ ۚwarasūlahu and His Messengerوَمَنwaman And whoeverيُشَاقِقِyushāqiqi opposesٱللَّهَl-laha Allahوَرَسُولَهُۥwarasūlahu and His Messengerفَإِنَّfa-inna then indeedٱللَّهَl-laha Allahشَدِيدُshadīdu (is) severeٱلْعِقَابِl-ʿiqābi in [the] penalty١٣
ذَٰلِكُمْdhālikum That فَذُوقُوهُfadhūqūhu So taste itوَأَنَّwa-anna And thatلِلْكَـٰفِرِينَlil'kāfirīna for the disbelieversعَذَابَʿadhāba (is the) punishmentٱلنَّارِl-nāri (of) the Fire١٤
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاyāayyuhā O youٱلَّذِينَalladhīna whoءَامَنُوٓا۟āmanū believeإِذَاidhā Whenلَقِيتُمُlaqītumu you meetٱلَّذِينَalladhīna those whoكَفَرُوا۟kafarū disbelieveزَحْفًۭاzaḥfan advancingفَلَاfalā then (do) notتُوَلُّوهُمُtuwallūhumu turn to themٱلْأَدْبَارَl-adbāra the backs١٥
وَمَنwaman And whoeverيُوَلِّهِمْyuwallihim turns to themيَوْمَئِذٍۢyawma-idhin that dayدُبُرَهُۥٓduburahu his backإِلَّاillā exceptمُتَحَرِّفًۭاmutaḥarrifan (as) a strategyلِّقِتَالٍliqitālin of warأَوْaw orمُتَحَيِّزًاmutaḥayyizan (to) joinإِلَىٰilā toفِئَةٍۢfi-atin a groupفَقَدْfaqad certainlyبَآءَbāa (he has) incurredبِغَضَبٍۢbighaḍabin wrathمِّنَmina ofٱللَّهِl-lahi Allahوَمَأْوَىٰهُwamawāhu and his abodeجَهَنَّمُ ۖjahannamu (is) Hellوَبِئْسَwabi'sa a wretchedٱلْمَصِيرُl-maṣīru destination١٦
فَلَمْfalam And notتَقْتُلُوهُمْtaqtulūhum you kill themوَلَـٰكِنَّwalākinna butٱللَّهَl-laha Allahقَتَلَهُمْ ۚqatalahum killed themوَمَاwamā And notرَمَيْتَramayta you threwإِذْidh whenرَمَيْتَramayta you threwوَلَـٰكِنَّwalākinna butٱللَّهَl-laha Allahرَمَىٰ ۚramā threwوَلِيُبْلِىَwaliyub'liya and that He may testٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَl-mu'minīna the believersمِنْهُmin'hu from Himبَلَآءًbalāan (with) a trialحَسَنًا ۚḥasanan goodإِنَّinna Indeedٱللَّهَl-laha Allahسَمِيعٌsamīʿun (is) All-Hearingعَلِيمٌۭʿalīmun All-Knowing١٧
ذَٰلِكُمْdhālikum That (is the case)وَأَنَّwa-anna and thatٱللَّهَl-laha Allah (is)مُوهِنُmūhinu one who makes weakكَيْدِkaydi (the) planٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَl-kāfirīna (of) the disbelievers١٨
إِنin Ifتَسْتَفْتِحُوا۟tastaftiḥū you ask for victoryفَقَدْfaqad then certainlyجَآءَكُمُjāakumu has come to youٱلْفَتْحُ ۖl-fatḥu the victoryوَإِنwa-in And ifتَنتَهُوا۟tantahū you desistفَهُوَfahuwa then it (is)خَيْرٌۭkhayrun goodلَّكُمْ ۖlakum for youوَإِنwa-in but ifتَعُودُوا۟taʿūdū you returnنَعُدْnaʿud We will return (too)وَلَنwalan And neverتُغْنِىَtugh'niya will availعَنكُمْʿankum youفِئَتُكُمْfi-atukum your forcesشَيْـًۭٔاshayan anythingوَلَوْwalaw even ifكَثُرَتْkathurat (they are) numerousوَأَنَّwa-anna And thatٱللَّهَl-laha Allahمَعَmaʿa (is) withٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَl-mu'minīna the believers١٩
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاyāayyuhā O youٱلَّذِينَalladhīna whoءَامَنُوٓا۟āmanū believeأَطِيعُوا۟aṭīʿū Obeyٱللَّهَl-laha Allahوَرَسُولَهُۥwarasūlahu and His Messengerوَلَاwalā And (do) notتَوَلَّوْا۟tawallaw turn awayعَنْهُʿanhu from himوَأَنتُمْwa-antum while youتَسْمَعُونَtasmaʿūna hear٢٠
وَلَاwalā And (do) notتَكُونُوا۟takūnū beكَٱلَّذِينَka-alladhīna like those whoقَالُوا۟qālū sayسَمِعْنَاsamiʿ'nā We heardوَهُمْwahum while theyلَاlā (do) notيَسْمَعُونَyasmaʿūna hear٢١
۞ إِنَّinna Indeedشَرَّsharra worstٱلدَّوَآبِّl-dawābi (of) the living creaturesعِندَʿinda nearٱللَّهِl-lahi Allahٱلصُّمُّl-ṣumu (are) the deafٱلْبُكْمُl-buk'mu the dumb ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna those whoلَاlā (do) notيَعْقِلُونَyaʿqilūna use (their) intellect٢٢
وَلَوْwalaw And ifعَلِمَʿalima (had) knownٱللَّهُl-lahu Allahفِيهِمْfīhim in themخَيْرًۭاkhayran any goodلَّأَسْمَعَهُمْ ۖla-asmaʿahum surely, He (would) have made them hearوَلَوْwalaw And ifأَسْمَعَهُمْasmaʿahum He had made them hearلَتَوَلَّوا۟latawallaw surely they would have turned awayوَّهُمwahum while theyمُّعْرِضُونَmuʿ'riḍūna (were) averse٢٣
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاyāayyuhā O youٱلَّذِينَalladhīna whoءَامَنُوا۟āmanū believeٱسْتَجِيبُوا۟is'tajībū Respondلِلَّهِlillahi to Allahوَلِلرَّسُولِwalilrrasūli and His Messengerإِذَاidhā whenدَعَاكُمْdaʿākum he calls youلِمَاlimā to whatيُحْيِيكُمْ ۖyuḥ'yīkum gives you lifeوَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟wa-iʿ'lamū And knowأَنَّanna thatٱللَّهَl-laha Allahيَحُولُyaḥūlu comesبَيْنَbayna (in) betweenٱلْمَرْءِl-mari a manوَقَلْبِهِۦwaqalbihi and his heartوَأَنَّهُۥٓwa-annahu and thatإِلَيْهِilayhi to Himتُحْشَرُونَtuḥ'sharūna you will be gathered٢٤
وَٱتَّقُوا۟wa-ittaqū And fearفِتْنَةًۭfit'natan a trialلَّاlā notتُصِيبَنَّtuṣībanna which will afflictٱلَّذِينَalladhīna those whoظَلَمُوا۟ẓalamū do wrongمِنكُمْminkum among youخَآصَّةًۭ ۖkhāṣṣatan exclusivelyوَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟wa-iʿ'lamū And knowأَنَّanna thatٱللَّهَl-laha Allahشَدِيدُshadīdu (is) severeٱلْعِقَابِl-ʿiqābi (in) the penalty٢٥
وَٱذْكُرُوٓا۟wa-udh'kurū And rememberإِذْidh whenأَنتُمْantum youقَلِيلٌۭqalīlun (were) fewمُّسْتَضْعَفُونَmus'taḍʿafūna (and) deemed weakفِىfī inٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍi the earthتَخَافُونَtakhāfūna fearingأَنan thatيَتَخَطَّفَكُمُyatakhaṭṭafakumu might do away with youٱلنَّاسُl-nāsu the menفَـَٔاوَىٰكُمْfaāwākum then He sheltered youوَأَيَّدَكُمwa-ayyadakum and strengthened youبِنَصْرِهِۦbinaṣrihi with His helpوَرَزَقَكُمwarazaqakum and provided youمِّنَmina ofٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِl-ṭayibāti the good thingsلَعَلَّكُمْlaʿallakum so that you mayتَشْكُرُونَtashkurūna (be) thankful٢٦
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاyāayyuhā O youٱلَّذِينَalladhīna whoءَامَنُوا۟āmanū believeلَاlā (Do) notتَخُونُوا۟takhūnū betrayٱللَّهَl-laha Allahوَٱلرَّسُولَwal-rasūla and the Messengerوَتَخُونُوٓا۟watakhūnū or betrayأَمَـٰنَـٰتِكُمْamānātikum your trustsوَأَنتُمْwa-antum while youتَعْلَمُونَtaʿlamūna know٢٧
وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟wa-iʿ'lamū And knowأَنَّمَآannamā thatأَمْوَٰلُكُمْamwālukum your wealthوَأَوْلَـٰدُكُمْwa-awlādukum and your childrenفِتْنَةٌۭfit'natun (are) a trialوَأَنَّwa-anna And thatٱللَّهَl-laha Allah عِندَهُۥٓʿindahu with Himأَجْرٌajrun (is) a rewardعَظِيمٌۭʿaẓīmun great٢٨
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاyāayyuhā O youٱلَّذِينَalladhīna whoءَامَنُوٓا۟āmanū believeإِنin Ifتَتَّقُوا۟tattaqū you fearٱللَّهَl-laha Allahيَجْعَلyajʿal He will grantلَّكُمْlakum youفُرْقَانًۭاfur'qānan a criterionوَيُكَفِّرْwayukaffir and will removeعَنكُمْʿankum from youسَيِّـَٔاتِكُمْsayyiātikum your evil deedsوَيَغْفِرْwayaghfir and forgiveلَكُمْ ۗlakum youوَٱللَّهُwal-lahu And Allahذُوdhū (is) the Possessorٱلْفَضْلِl-faḍli (of) Bountyٱلْعَظِيمِl-ʿaẓīmi the Great٢٩
وَإِذْwa-idh And whenيَمْكُرُyamkuru plottedبِكَbika against youٱلَّذِينَalladhīna those whoكَفَرُوا۟kafarū disbelievedلِيُثْبِتُوكَliyuth'bitūka that they restrain youأَوْaw orيَقْتُلُوكَyaqtulūka kill youأَوْaw orيُخْرِجُوكَ ۚyukh'rijūka drive you outوَيَمْكُرُونَwayamkurūna And they were planningوَيَمْكُرُwayamkuru and (also) was planningٱللَّهُ ۖl-lahu Allahوَٱللَّهُwal-lahu And Allahخَيْرُkhayru is (the) Bestٱلْمَـٰكِرِينَl-mākirīna (of) the Planners٣٠
وَإِذَاwa-idhā And whenتُتْلَىٰtut'lā are recitedعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhim to themءَايَـٰتُنَاāyātunā Our Versesقَالُوا۟qālū they sayقَدْqad Verilyسَمِعْنَاsamiʿ'nā we have heardلَوْlaw ifنَشَآءُnashāu we wishلَقُلْنَاlaqul'nā surely, we could sayمِثْلَmith'la likeهَـٰذَآ ۙhādhā thisإِنْin Notهَـٰذَآhādhā is thisإِلَّآillā butأَسَـٰطِيرُasāṭīru talesٱلْأَوَّلِينَl-awalīna (of) the former (people)٣١
وَإِذْwa-idh And whenقَالُوا۟qālū they saidٱللَّهُمَّl-lahuma O Allahإِنin Ifكَانَkāna wasهَـٰذَاhādhā thisهُوَhuwa [it]ٱلْحَقَّl-ḥaqa the truthمِنْmin [of]عِندِكَʿindika from Youفَأَمْطِرْfa-amṭir then (send) rainعَلَيْنَاʿalaynā upon usحِجَارَةًۭḥijāratan (of) stonesمِّنَmina fromٱلسَّمَآءِl-samāi the skyأَوِawi orٱئْتِنَاi'tinā bring (upon) usبِعَذَابٍbiʿadhābin a punishmentأَلِيمٍۢalīmin painful٣٢
وَمَاwamā But notكَانَkāna isٱللَّهُl-lahu (for) Allahلِيُعَذِّبَهُمْliyuʿadhibahum that He punishes themوَأَنتَwa-anta while youفِيهِمْ ۚfīhim (are) among themوَمَاwamā and notكَانَkāna isٱللَّهُl-lahu Allahمُعَذِّبَهُمْmuʿadhibahum the One Who punishes themوَهُمْwahum while theyيَسْتَغْفِرُونَyastaghfirūna seek forgiveness٣٣
وَمَاwamā But whatلَهُمْlahum (is) for themأَلَّاallā that notيُعَذِّبَهُمُyuʿadhibahumu (should) punish themٱللَّهُl-lahu Allahوَهُمْwahum while theyيَصُدُّونَyaṣuddūna hinder (people)عَنِʿani fromٱلْمَسْجِدِl-masjidi Al-Masjidٱلْحَرَامِl-ḥarāmi Al-Haraamوَمَاwamā while notكَانُوٓا۟kānū they areأَوْلِيَآءَهُۥٓ ۚawliyāahu its guardiansإِنْin Not (can be)أَوْلِيَآؤُهُۥٓawliyāuhu its guardiansإِلَّاillā exceptٱلْمُتَّقُونَl-mutaqūna the ones who fear Allahوَلَـٰكِنَّwalākinna butأَكْثَرَهُمْaktharahum most of themلَاlā (do) notيَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūna know٣٤
وَمَاwamā And notكَانَkāna wasصَلَاتُهُمْṣalātuhum their prayerعِندَʿinda atٱلْبَيْتِl-bayti the Houseإِلَّاillā exceptمُكَآءًۭmukāan whistlingوَتَصْدِيَةًۭ ۚwataṣdiyatan and clappingفَذُوقُوا۟fadhūqū So tasteٱلْعَذَابَl-ʿadhāba the punishmentبِمَاbimā becauseكُنتُمْkuntum you used toتَكْفُرُونَtakfurūna disbelieve٣٥
إِنَّinna Indeedٱلَّذِينَalladhīna those whoكَفَرُوا۟kafarū disbelieveيُنفِقُونَyunfiqūna they spendأَمْوَٰلَهُمْamwālahum their wealthلِيَصُدُّوا۟liyaṣuddū to hinder (people)عَنʿan fromسَبِيلِsabīli (the) wayٱللَّهِ ۚl-lahi (of) Allahفَسَيُنفِقُونَهَاfasayunfiqūnahā So they will spend itثُمَّthumma thenتَكُونُtakūnu it will beعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhim for themحَسْرَةًۭḥasratan a regretثُمَّthumma thenيُغْلَبُونَ ۗyugh'labūna they will be overcomeوَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīna And those whoكَفَرُوٓا۟kafarū disbelieveإِلَىٰilā toجَهَنَّمَjahannama Hellيُحْشَرُونَyuḥ'sharūna they will be gathered٣٦
لِيَمِيزَliyamīza That may distinguishٱللَّهُl-lahu Allahٱلْخَبِيثَl-khabītha the wickedمِنَmina fromٱلطَّيِّبِl-ṭayibi the goodوَيَجْعَلَwayajʿala and placeٱلْخَبِيثَl-khabītha the wickedبَعْضَهُۥbaʿḍahu some of themعَلَىٰʿalā onبَعْضٍۢbaʿḍin othersفَيَرْكُمَهُۥfayarkumahu and heap themجَمِيعًۭاjamīʿan all togetherفَيَجْعَلَهُۥfayajʿalahu and put themفِىfī inجَهَنَّمَ ۚjahannama Hellأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāika Those هُمُhumu theyٱلْخَـٰسِرُونَl-khāsirūna (are) the losers٣٧
قُلqul Sayلِّلَّذِينَlilladhīna to those whoكَفَرُوٓا۟kafarū disbelieveإِنin ifيَنتَهُوا۟yantahū they ceaseيُغْفَرْyugh'far will be forgivenلَهُمlahum for themمَّاmā whatقَدْqad [verily]سَلَفَsalafa (is) pastوَإِنwa-in But ifيَعُودُوا۟yaʿūdū they returnفَقَدْfaqad then verilyمَضَتْmaḍat precededسُنَّتُsunnatu (the) practiceٱلْأَوَّلِينَl-awalīna (of) the former (people)٣٨
وَقَـٰتِلُوهُمْwaqātilūhum And fight themحَتَّىٰḥattā untilلَاlā notتَكُونَtakūna there isفِتْنَةٌۭfit'natun oppressionوَيَكُونَwayakūna and isٱلدِّينُl-dīnu the religionكُلُّهُۥkulluhu all of itلِلَّهِ ۚlillahi for Allahفَإِنِfa-ini But ifٱنتَهَوْا۟intahaw they ceaseفَإِنَّfa-inna then indeedٱللَّهَl-laha Allahبِمَاbimā of whatيَعْمَلُونَyaʿmalūna they doبَصِيرٌۭbaṣīrun (is) All-Seer٣٩
وَإِنwa-in And ifتَوَلَّوْا۟tawallaw they turn awayفَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟fa-iʿ'lamū then knowأَنَّanna thatٱللَّهَl-laha Allahمَوْلَىٰكُمْ ۚmawlākum (is) your Protectorنِعْمَniʿ'ma Excellentٱلْمَوْلَىٰl-mawlā (is) the Protectorوَنِعْمَwaniʿ'ma and Excellentٱلنَّصِيرُl-naṣīru (is) the Helper٤٠
۞ وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟wa-iʿ'lamū And knowأَنَّمَاannamā that whatغَنِمْتُمghanim'tum you obtain (as) spoils of warمِّنmin ofشَىْءٍۢshayin anythingفَأَنَّfa-anna then thatلِلَّهِlillahi for Allahخُمُسَهُۥkhumusahu (is) one fifth of itوَلِلرَّسُولِwalilrrasūli and for the Messengerوَلِذِىwalidhī and for theٱلْقُرْبَىٰl-qur'bā near relativesوَٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰwal-yatāmā and the orphansوَٱلْمَسَـٰكِينِwal-masākīni and the needyوَٱبْنِwa-ib'ni and theٱلسَّبِيلِl-sabīli wayfarerإِنin ifكُنتُمْkuntum youءَامَنتُمāmantum believeبِٱللَّهِbil-lahi in Allahوَمَآwamā and (in) whatأَنزَلْنَاanzalnā We sent downعَلَىٰʿalā toعَبْدِنَاʿabdinā Our slaveيَوْمَyawma (on the) dayٱلْفُرْقَانِl-fur'qāni (of) the criterionيَوْمَyawma (the) dayٱلْتَقَىl-taqā (when) metٱلْجَمْعَانِ ۗl-jamʿāni the two forcesوَٱللَّهُwal-lahu And Allahعَلَىٰʿalā (is) onكُلِّkulli everyشَىْءٍۢshayin thingقَدِيرٌqadīrun All-Powerful٤١
إِذْidh Whenأَنتُمantum you (were)بِٱلْعُدْوَةِbil-ʿud'wati on side of the valleyٱلدُّنْيَاl-dun'yā the nearerوَهُمwahum and theyبِٱلْعُدْوَةِbil-ʿud'wati (were) on the sideٱلْقُصْوَىٰl-quṣ'wā the fartherوَٱلرَّكْبُwal-rakbu and the caravanأَسْفَلَasfala (was) lowerمِنكُمْ ۚminkum than youوَلَوْwalaw And ifتَوَاعَدتُّمْtawāʿadttum you (had) made an appointmentلَٱخْتَلَفْتُمْla-ikh'talaftum certainly you would have failedفِىfī inٱلْمِيعَـٰدِ ۙl-mīʿādi the appointmentوَلَـٰكِنwalākin Butلِّيَقْضِىَliyaqḍiya that might accomplishٱللَّهُl-lahu Allahأَمْرًۭاamran a matterكَانَkāna (that) wasمَفْعُولًۭاmafʿūlan destinedلِّيَهْلِكَliyahlika that (might be) destroyedمَنْman (those) whoهَلَكَhalaka (were to be) destroyedعَنۢʿan onبَيِّنَةٍۢbayyinatin a clear evidenceوَيَحْيَىٰwayaḥyā and (might) liveمَنْman (those) whoحَىَّḥayya (were to) liveعَنۢʿan onبَيِّنَةٍۢ ۗbayyinatin a clear evidenceوَإِنَّwa-inna And indeedٱللَّهَl-laha Allahلَسَمِيعٌlasamīʿun (is) All-Hearingعَلِيمٌʿalīmun All-Knowing٤٢
إِذْidh Whenيُرِيكَهُمُyurīkahumu you (where) shown themٱللَّهُl-lahu (by) Allahفِىfī inمَنَامِكَmanāmika your dreamقَلِيلًۭا ۖqalīlan (as) fewوَلَوْwalaw and ifأَرَىٰكَهُمْarākahum He had shown them to youكَثِيرًۭاkathīran (as) manyلَّفَشِلْتُمْlafashil'tum surely you would have lost courageوَلَتَنَـٰزَعْتُمْwalatanāzaʿtum and surely you would have disputedفِىfī inٱلْأَمْرِl-amri the matterوَلَـٰكِنَّwalākinna butٱللَّهَl-laha Allahسَلَّمَ ۗsallama saved (you)إِنَّهُۥinnahu Indeed, Heعَلِيمٌۢʿalīmun (is) All-Knowerبِذَاتِbidhāti of what is inٱلصُّدُورِl-ṣudūri the breasts٤٣
وَإِذْwa-idh And whenيُرِيكُمُوهُمْyurīkumūhum He showed them to youإِذِidhi whenٱلْتَقَيْتُمْl-taqaytum you met فِىٓfī inأَعْيُنِكُمْaʿyunikum your eyesقَلِيلًۭاqalīlan (as) fewوَيُقَلِّلُكُمْwayuqallilukum and He made you (appear) as fewفِىٓfī inأَعْيُنِهِمْaʿyunihim their eyesلِيَقْضِىَliyaqḍiya that might accomplishٱللَّهُl-lahu Allah might accomplishأَمْرًۭاamran a matterكَانَkāna (that) wasمَفْعُولًۭا ۗmafʿūlan (already) destinedوَإِلَىwa-ilā And toٱللَّهِl-lahi Allahتُرْجَعُtur'jaʿu returnٱلْأُمُورُl-umūru (all) the matters٤٤
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاyāayyuhā O youٱلَّذِينَalladhīna whoءَامَنُوٓا۟āmanū believeإِذَاidhā Whenلَقِيتُمْlaqītum you meetفِئَةًۭfi-atan a forceفَٱثْبُتُوا۟fa-uth'butū then be firmوَٱذْكُرُوا۟wa-udh'kurū and rememberٱللَّهَl-laha Allahكَثِيرًۭاkathīran muchلَّعَلَّكُمْlaʿallakum so that you mayتُفْلِحُونَtuf'liḥūna (be) successful٤٥
وَأَطِيعُوا۟wa-aṭīʿū And obeyٱللَّهَl-laha Allahوَرَسُولَهُۥwarasūlahu and His Messengerوَلَاwalā and (do) notتَنَـٰزَعُوا۟tanāzaʿū disputeفَتَفْشَلُوا۟fatafshalū lest you lose courageوَتَذْهَبَwatadhhaba and (would) departرِيحُكُمْ ۖrīḥukum your strengthوَٱصْبِرُوٓا۟ ۚwa-iṣ'birū and be patientإِنَّinna Indeedٱللَّهَl-laha Allahمَعَmaʿa (is) withٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَl-ṣābirīna the patient ones٤٦
وَلَاwalā And (do) notتَكُونُوا۟takūnū beكَٱلَّذِينَka-alladhīna like those whoخَرَجُوا۟kharajū came forthمِنmin fromدِيَـٰرِهِمdiyārihim their homesبَطَرًۭاbaṭaran boastfullyوَرِئَآءَwariāa and showing offٱلنَّاسِl-nāsi (to) the peopleوَيَصُدُّونَwayaṣuddūna and hinder (them)عَنʿan fromسَبِيلِsabīli (the) wayٱللَّهِ ۚl-lahi (of) Allahوَٱللَّهُwal-lahu And Allahبِمَاbimā of whatيَعْمَلُونَyaʿmalūna they doمُحِيطٌۭmuḥīṭun (is) All-Encompassing٤٧
وَإِذْwa-idh And whenزَيَّنَzayyana made fair-seemingلَهُمُlahumu to themٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُl-shayṭānu the Shaitaanأَعْمَـٰلَهُمْaʿmālahum their deedsوَقَالَwaqāla and he saidلَاlā No (one)غَالِبَghāliba (can) overcomeلَكُمُlakumu [to] youٱلْيَوْمَl-yawma todayمِنَmina fromٱلنَّاسِl-nāsi the peopleوَإِنِّىwa-innī and indeed, I amجَارٌۭjārun a neighborلَّكُمْ ۖlakum for youفَلَمَّاfalammā But whenتَرَآءَتِtarāati came in sightٱلْفِئَتَانِl-fi-atāni the two forcesنَكَصَnakaṣa he turned awayعَلَىٰʿalā onعَقِبَيْهِʿaqibayhi his heelsوَقَالَwaqāla and saidإِنِّىinnī Indeed, I amبَرِىٓءٌۭbarīon freeمِّنكُمْminkum of youإِنِّىٓinnī Indeed, Iأَرَىٰarā seeمَاmā whatلَاlā notتَرَوْنَtarawna you seeإِنِّىٓinnī indeed, Iأَخَافُakhāfu [I] fearٱللَّهَ ۚl-laha Allahوَٱللَّهُwal-lahu And Allahشَدِيدُshadīdu (is) severeٱلْعِقَابِl-ʿiqābi (in) the penalty٤٨
إِذْidh Whenيَقُولُyaqūlu saidٱلْمُنَـٰفِقُونَl-munāfiqūna the hypocritesوَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīna and those who فِىfī inقُلُوبِهِمqulūbihim their heartsمَّرَضٌmaraḍun (was) a diseaseغَرَّgharra (Had) deludedهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِhāulāi these (people)دِينُهُمْ ۗdīnuhum their religionوَمَنwaman But whoeverيَتَوَكَّلْyatawakkal puts (his) trustعَلَىʿalā inٱللَّهِl-lahi Allahفَإِنَّfa-inna then indeedٱللَّهَl-laha Allahعَزِيزٌʿazīzun (is) All-Mightyحَكِيمٌۭḥakīmun All-Wise٤٩
وَلَوْwalaw And ifتَرَىٰٓtarā you (could) seeإِذْidh whenيَتَوَفَّىyatawaffā take away soulsٱلَّذِينَalladhīna (of) those whoكَفَرُوا۟ ۙkafarū disbelieveٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُl-malāikatu the Angelsيَضْرِبُونَyaḍribūna strikingوُجُوهَهُمْwujūhahum their facesوَأَدْبَـٰرَهُمْwa-adbārahum and their backsوَذُوقُوا۟wadhūqū Tasteعَذَابَʿadhāba (the) punishmentٱلْحَرِيقِl-ḥarīqi (of) the Blazing Fire٥٠
ذَٰلِكَdhālika Thatبِمَاbimā (is) for whatقَدَّمَتْqaddamat sent forthأَيْدِيكُمْaydīkum your handsوَأَنَّwa-anna And indeedٱللَّهَl-laha Allahلَيْسَlaysa (is) notبِظَلَّـٰمٍۢbiẓallāmin unjustلِّلْعَبِيدِlil'ʿabīdi to His slaves٥١
كَدَأْبِkadabi Like (the) wayءَالِāli (of) peopleفِرْعَوْنَ ۙfir'ʿawna (of) Firaunوَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīna and those whoمِنmin (were) fromقَبْلِهِمْ ۚqablihim before themكَفَرُوا۟kafarū They disbelievedبِـَٔايَـٰتِbiāyāti in (the) Signsٱللَّهِl-lahi (of) Allahفَأَخَذَهُمُfa-akhadhahumu so seized themٱللَّهُl-lahu Allahبِذُنُوبِهِمْ ۗbidhunūbihim for their sinsإِنَّinna Indeedٱللَّهَl-laha Allahقَوِىٌّۭqawiyyun (is) All-Strongشَدِيدُshadīdu (and) severeٱلْعِقَابِl-ʿiqābi (in) the penalty٥٢
ذَٰلِكَdhālika Thatبِأَنَّbi-anna (is) becauseٱللَّهَl-laha Allahلَمْlam notيَكُyaku isمُغَيِّرًۭاmughayyiran One Who changesنِّعْمَةًniʿ'matan a favorأَنْعَمَهَاanʿamahā which He had bestowedعَلَىٰʿalā onقَوْمٍqawmin a peopleحَتَّىٰḥattā untilيُغَيِّرُوا۟yughayyirū they changeمَاmā whatبِأَنفُسِهِمْ ۙbi-anfusihim (is) in themselvesوَأَنَّwa-anna And indeedٱللَّهَl-laha Allahسَمِيعٌsamīʿun (is) All-Hearingعَلِيمٌۭʿalīmun All-Knowing٥٣
كَدَأْبِkadabi Like (the) wayءَالِāli (of) peopleفِرْعَوْنَ ۙfir'ʿawna (of) Firaunوَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīna and those whoمِنmin (were) fromقَبْلِهِمْ ۚqablihim before themكَذَّبُوا۟kadhabū They deniedبِـَٔايَـٰتِbiāyāti (the) Signsرَبِّهِمْrabbihim (of) their Lordفَأَهْلَكْنَـٰهُمfa-ahlaknāhum so We destroyed themبِذُنُوبِهِمْbidhunūbihim for their sinsوَأَغْرَقْنَآwa-aghraqnā and We drownedءَالَāla (the) peopleفِرْعَوْنَ ۚfir'ʿawna (of) Firaunوَكُلٌّۭwakullun and (they) allكَانُوا۟kānū wereظَـٰلِمِينَẓālimīna wrongdoers٥٤
إِنَّinna Indeedشَرَّsharra (the) worstٱلدَّوَآبِّl-dawābi (of) the living creaturesعِندَʿinda nearٱللَّهِl-lahi Allahٱلَّذِينَalladhīna (are) those whoكَفَرُوا۟kafarū disbelieveفَهُمْfahum and theyلَاlā (will) notيُؤْمِنُونَyu'minūna believe٥٥
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna Those who عَـٰهَدتَّʿāhadtta you made a covenantمِنْهُمْmin'hum with themثُمَّthumma thenيَنقُضُونَyanquḍūna they breakعَهْدَهُمْʿahdahum their covenantفِىfī [in]كُلِّkulli everyمَرَّةٍۢmarratin timeوَهُمْwahum and theyلَاlā (do) notيَتَّقُونَyattaqūna fear (Allah)٥٦
فَإِمَّاfa-immā So ifتَثْقَفَنَّهُمْtathqafannahum you gain dominance over themفِىfī inٱلْحَرْبِl-ḥarbi the warفَشَرِّدْfasharrid disperseبِهِمbihim by themمَّنْman (those) whoخَلْفَهُمْkhalfahum (are) behind themلَعَلَّهُمْlaʿallahum so that they mayيَذَّكَّرُونَyadhakkarūna take heed٥٧
وَإِمَّاwa-immā And ifتَخَافَنَّtakhāfanna you fearمِنmin fromقَوْمٍqawmin a peopleخِيَانَةًۭkhiyānatan betrayalفَٱنۢبِذْfa-inbidh throw backإِلَيْهِمْilayhim to themعَلَىٰʿalā onسَوَآءٍ ۚsawāin equal (terms)إِنَّinna Indeedٱللَّهَl-laha Allahلَاlā (does) notيُحِبُّyuḥibbu loveٱلْخَآئِنِينَl-khāinīna the traitors٥٨
وَلَاwalā And (let) notيَحْسَبَنَّyaḥsabanna thinkٱلَّذِينَalladhīna those whoكَفَرُوا۟kafarū disbelieveسَبَقُوٓا۟ ۚsabaqū they can outstripإِنَّهُمْinnahum Indeed, theyلَاlā (can) notيُعْجِزُونَyuʿ'jizūna escape٥٩
وَأَعِدُّوا۟wa-aʿiddū And prepareلَهُمlahum for themمَّاmā whateverٱسْتَطَعْتُمis'taṭaʿtum you able (to)مِّنmin ofقُوَّةٍۢquwwatin forceوَمِنwamin and ofرِّبَاطِribāṭi tetheredٱلْخَيْلِl-khayli horsesتُرْهِبُونَtur'hibūna (to) terrifyبِهِۦbihi therewithعَدُوَّʿaduwwa (the) enemyٱللَّهِl-lahi (of) Allahوَعَدُوَّكُمْwaʿaduwwakum and your enemyوَءَاخَرِينَwaākharīna and othersمِنmin fromدُونِهِمْdūnihim besides themلَاlā notتَعْلَمُونَهُمُtaʿlamūnahumu (do) you know themٱللَّهُl-lahu (but) Allahيَعْلَمُهُمْ ۚyaʿlamuhum knows themوَمَاwamā And whateverتُنفِقُوا۟tunfiqū you spendمِنmin fromشَىْءٍۢshayin (any) thingفِىfī inسَبِيلِsabīli (the) wayٱللَّهِl-lahi (of) Allahيُوَفَّyuwaffa it will be fully repaidإِلَيْكُمْilaykum to youوَأَنتُمْwa-antum and youلَاlā (will) notتُظْلَمُونَtuẓ'lamūna be wronged٦٠
۞ وَإِنwa-in And ifجَنَحُوا۟janaḥū they inclineلِلسَّلْمِlilssalmi to peaceفَٱجْنَحْfa-ij'naḥ then you (also) inclineلَهَاlahā to itوَتَوَكَّلْwatawakkal and put (your) trustعَلَىʿalā inٱللَّهِ ۚl-lahi Allahإِنَّهُۥinnahu Indeedهُوَhuwa Heٱلسَّمِيعُl-samīʿu (is) All-Hearerٱلْعَلِيمُl-ʿalīmu All-Knower٦١
وَإِنwa-in But ifيُرِيدُوٓا۟yurīdū they intendأَنan toيَخْدَعُوكَyakhdaʿūka deceive youفَإِنَّfa-inna then indeedحَسْبَكَḥasbaka is sufficient for youٱللَّهُ ۚl-lahu Allahهُوَhuwa Heٱلَّذِىٓalladhī (is) the One Whoأَيَّدَكَayyadaka supported youبِنَصْرِهِۦbinaṣrihi with His helpوَبِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَwabil-mu'minīna and with the believers٦٢
وَأَلَّفَwa-allafa And He (has) put affectionبَيْنَbayna betweenقُلُوبِهِمْ ۚqulūbihim their heartsلَوْlaw Ifأَنفَقْتَanfaqta you (had) spentمَاmā whateverفِىfī (is) inٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍi the earthجَمِيعًۭاjamīʿan allمَّآmā notأَلَّفْتَallafta (could) you (have) put affectionبَيْنَbayna betweenقُلُوبِهِمْqulūbihim their heartsوَلَـٰكِنَّwalākinna butٱللَّهَl-laha Allahأَلَّفَallafa (has) put affectionبَيْنَهُمْ ۚbaynahum between themإِنَّهُۥinnahu Indeed, Heعَزِيزٌʿazīzun (is) All-Mightyحَكِيمٌۭḥakīmun All-Wise٦٣
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاyāayyuhā Oٱلنَّبِىُّl-nabiyu Prophetحَسْبُكَḥasbuka Sufficient for youٱللَّهُl-lahu (is) Allahوَمَنِwamani and whoeverٱتَّبَعَكَittabaʿaka follows youمِنَmina ofٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَl-mu'minīna the believers٦٤
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاyāayyuhā Oٱلنَّبِىُّl-nabiyu Prophetحَرِّضِḥarriḍi Urgeٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَl-mu'minīna the believersعَلَىʿalā toٱلْقِتَالِ ۚl-qitāli [the] fightإِنin Ifيَكُنyakun (there) areمِّنكُمْminkum among youعِشْرُونَʿish'rūna twentyصَـٰبِرُونَṣābirūna steadfastيَغْلِبُوا۟yaghlibū they will overcomeمِا۟ئَتَيْنِ ۚmi-atayni two hundredوَإِنwa-in And ifيَكُنyakun (there) areمِّنكُمminkum among youمِّا۟ئَةٌۭmi-atun a hundredيَغْلِبُوٓا۟yaghlibū they will overcomeأَلْفًۭاalfan a thousandمِّنَmina ofٱلَّذِينَalladhīna those whoكَفَرُوا۟kafarū disbelieveبِأَنَّهُمْbi-annahum because theyقَوْمٌۭqawmun (are) a peopleلَّاlā (who do) notيَفْقَهُونَyafqahūna understand٦٥
ٱلْـَٔـٰنَal-āna Nowخَفَّفَkhaffafa has (been) lightenedٱللَّهُl-lahu (by) Allahعَنكُمْʿankum for youوَعَلِمَwaʿalima and He knowsأَنَّanna thatفِيكُمْfīkum in youضَعْفًۭا ۚḍaʿfan (there) is weaknessفَإِنfa-in So ifيَكُنyakun (there) areمِّنكُمminkum among youمِّا۟ئَةٌۭmi-atun a hundredصَابِرَةٌۭṣābiratun steadfastيَغْلِبُوا۟yaghlibū they will overcomeمِا۟ئَتَيْنِ ۚmi-atayni two hundredوَإِنwa-in And ifيَكُنyakun (there) areمِّنكُمْminkum among youأَلْفٌۭalfun a thousandيَغْلِبُوٓا۟yaghlibū they will overcomeأَلْفَيْنِalfayni two thousandبِإِذْنِbi-idh'ni with (the) permissionٱللَّهِ ۗl-lahi (of) Allahوَٱللَّهُwal-lahu And Allahمَعَmaʿa (is) withٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَl-ṣābirīna the steadfast٦٦
مَاmā Notكَانَkāna isلِنَبِىٍّlinabiyyin for a Prophetأَنan thatيَكُونَyakūna (there) should beلَهُۥٓlahu for himأَسْرَىٰasrā prisoners of warحَتَّىٰḥattā untilيُثْخِنَyuth'khina he has battled strenuouslyفِىfī inٱلْأَرْضِ ۚl-arḍi the landتُرِيدُونَturīdūna You desireعَرَضَʿaraḍa (the) commoditiesٱلدُّنْيَاl-dun'yā (of) the worldوَٱللَّهُwal-lahu but Allahيُرِيدُyurīdu desiresٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ ۗl-ākhirata (for you) the Hereafterوَٱللَّهُwal-lahu And Allahعَزِيزٌʿazīzun (is) All-Mightyحَكِيمٌۭḥakīmun All-Wise٦٧
لَّوْلَاlawlā Had notكِتَـٰبٌۭkitābun an ordainmentمِّنَmina fromٱللَّهِl-lahi Allahسَبَقَsabaqa precededلَمَسَّكُمْlamassakum surely (would) have touched youفِيمَآfīmā for whatأَخَذْتُمْakhadhtum you took عَذَابٌʿadhābun a punishmentعَظِيمٌۭʿaẓīmun great٦٨
فَكُلُوا۟fakulū So eatمِمَّاmimmā from whatغَنِمْتُمْghanim'tum you got as war booty حَلَـٰلًۭاḥalālan lawfulطَيِّبًۭا ۚṭayyiban (and) goodوَٱتَّقُوا۟wa-ittaqū and fearٱللَّهَ ۚl-laha Allahإِنَّinna Indeedٱللَّهَl-laha Allahغَفُورٌۭghafūrun (is) Oft-Forgivingرَّحِيمٌۭraḥīmun Most Merciful٦٩
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاyāayyuhā Oٱلنَّبِىُّl-nabiyu Prophetقُلqul Sayلِّمَنliman to whoeverفِىٓfī (is) inأَيْدِيكُمaydīkum your handsمِّنَmina ofٱلْأَسْرَىٰٓl-asrā the captivesإِنin Ifيَعْلَمِyaʿlami knowsٱللَّهُl-lahu Allahفِىfī inقُلُوبِكُمْqulūbikum your heartsخَيْرًۭاkhayran any goodيُؤْتِكُمْyu'tikum He will give youخَيْرًۭاkhayran betterمِّمَّآmimmā than whatأُخِذَukhidha was takenمِنكُمْminkum from youوَيَغْفِرْwayaghfir and He will forgiveلَكُمْ ۗlakum youوَٱللَّهُwal-lahu And Allahغَفُورٌۭghafūrun (is) Oft-Forgivingرَّحِيمٌۭraḥīmun Most Merciful٧٠
وَإِنwa-in But ifيُرِيدُوا۟yurīdū they intendخِيَانَتَكَkhiyānataka (to) betray youفَقَدْfaqad certainlyخَانُوا۟khānū they have betrayedٱللَّهَl-laha Allahمِنmin fromقَبْلُqablu beforeفَأَمْكَنَfa-amkana So He gave (you) powerمِنْهُمْ ۗmin'hum over themوَٱللَّهُwal-lahu And Allahعَلِيمٌʿalīmun (is) All-Knowerحَكِيمٌḥakīmun All-Wise٧١
إِنَّinna Indeedٱلَّذِينَalladhīna those whoءَامَنُوا۟āmanū believedوَهَاجَرُوا۟wahājarū and emigratedوَجَـٰهَدُوا۟wajāhadū and strove hardبِأَمْوَٰلِهِمْbi-amwālihim with their wealthوَأَنفُسِهِمْwa-anfusihim and their livesفِىfī inسَبِيلِsabīli (the) wayٱللَّهِl-lahi (of) Allahوَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīna and those whoءَاوَوا۟āwaw gave shelterوَّنَصَرُوٓا۟wanaṣarū and helpedأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāika those بَعْضُهُمْbaʿḍuhum some of themأَوْلِيَآءُawliyāu (are) alliesبَعْضٍۢ ۚbaʿḍin (of) anotherوَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīna But those whoءَامَنُوا۟āmanū believedوَلَمْwalam and (did) notيُهَاجِرُوا۟yuhājirū emigrateمَاmā (it is) notلَكُمlakum for youمِّنmin (of)وَلَـٰيَتِهِمwalāyatihim their protectionمِّنmin (in)شَىْءٍshayin (in) anythingحَتَّىٰḥattā untilيُهَاجِرُوا۟ ۚyuhājirū they emigrateوَإِنِwa-ini And ifٱسْتَنصَرُوكُمْis'tanṣarūkum they seek your helpفِىfī inٱلدِّينِl-dīni the religionفَعَلَيْكُمُfaʿalaykumu then upon youٱلنَّصْرُl-naṣru (is to) help themإِلَّاillā exceptعَلَىٰʿalā againstقَوْمٍۭqawmin a peopleبَيْنَكُمْbaynakum between youوَبَيْنَهُمwabaynahum and between themمِّيثَـٰقٌۭ ۗmīthāqun (is) a treatyوَٱللَّهُwal-lahu And Allahبِمَاbimā of whatتَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūna you doبَصِيرٌۭbaṣīrun (is) All-Seer٧٢
وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīna And those whoكَفَرُوا۟kafarū disbelieveبَعْضُهُمْbaʿḍuhum some of themأَوْلِيَآءُawliyāu (are) alliesبَعْضٍ ۚbaʿḍin (to) anotherإِلَّاillā If notتَفْعَلُوهُtafʿalūhu you do itتَكُنtakun (there) will beفِتْنَةٌۭfit'natun oppressionفِىfī inٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍi the earthوَفَسَادٌۭwafasādun and corruptionكَبِيرٌۭkabīrun great٧٣
وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīna And those whoءَامَنُوا۟āmanū believedوَهَاجَرُوا۟wahājarū and emigratedوَجَـٰهَدُوا۟wajāhadū and strove hardفِىfī inسَبِيلِsabīli (the) wayٱللَّهِl-lahi (of) Allahوَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīna and those whoءَاوَوا۟āwaw gave shelterوَّنَصَرُوٓا۟wanaṣarū and helpedأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāika those هُمُhumu they (are)ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَl-mu'minūna the believersحَقًّۭا ۚḥaqqan (in) truthلَّهُمlahum For themمَّغْفِرَةٌۭmaghfiratun (is) forgivenessوَرِزْقٌۭwariz'qun and a provisionكَرِيمٌۭkarīmun noble٧٤
وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīna And those whoءَامَنُوا۟āmanū believedمِنۢmin fromبَعْدُbaʿdu afterwardsوَهَاجَرُوا۟wahājarū and emigratedوَجَـٰهَدُوا۟wajāhadū and strove hardمَعَكُمْmaʿakum with youفَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَfa-ulāika then thoseمِنكُمْ ۚminkum (are) of youوَأُو۟لُوا۟wa-ulū But thoseٱلْأَرْحَامِl-arḥāmi (of) blood relationshipبَعْضُهُمْbaʿḍuhum some of themأَوْلَىٰawlā (are) nearerبِبَعْضٍۢbibaʿḍin to anotherفِىfī inكِتَـٰبِkitābi (the) Bookٱللَّهِ ۗl-lahi (of) Allahإِنَّinna Indeedٱللَّهَl-laha Allahبِكُلِّbikulli of everyشَىْءٍshayin thingعَلِيمٌۢʿalīmun (is) All-Knower٧٥
