بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
ذِكْرُdhik'ru
(A) mention رَحْمَتِraḥmati
(of the) Mercy رَبِّكَrabbika
(of) your Lord عَبْدَهُۥʿabdahu
(to) His servant زَكَرِيَّآzakariyyā
Zakariya ٢

Zakariya ٢
إِذْidh
When نَادَىٰnādā
he called رَبَّهُۥrabbahu
(to) his Lord نِدَآءًnidāan
a call خَفِيًّۭاkhafiyyan
secret ٣
When نَادَىٰnādā
he called رَبَّهُۥrabbahu
(to) his Lord نِدَآءًnidāan
a call خَفِيًّۭاkhafiyyan
secret ٣
قَالَqāla
He said رَبِّrabbi
My Lord إِنِّىinnī
Indeed, [I] وَهَنَwahana
(have) weakened ٱلْعَظْمُl-ʿaẓmu
my bones مِنِّىminnī
my bones وَٱشْتَعَلَwa-ish'taʿala
and flared ٱلرَّأْسُl-rasu
(my) head شَيْبًۭاshayban
(with) white وَلَمْwalam
and not أَكُنۢakun
I have been بِدُعَآئِكَbiduʿāika
in (my) supplication (to) You رَبِّrabbi
my Lord شَقِيًّۭاshaqiyyan
unblessed ٤
He said رَبِّrabbi
My Lord إِنِّىinnī
Indeed, [I] وَهَنَwahana
(have) weakened ٱلْعَظْمُl-ʿaẓmu
my bones مِنِّىminnī
my bones وَٱشْتَعَلَwa-ish'taʿala
and flared ٱلرَّأْسُl-rasu
(my) head شَيْبًۭاshayban
(with) white وَلَمْwalam
and not أَكُنۢakun
I have been بِدُعَآئِكَbiduʿāika
in (my) supplication (to) You رَبِّrabbi
my Lord شَقِيًّۭاshaqiyyan
unblessed ٤
وَإِنِّىwa-innī
And indeed, I خِفْتُkhif'tu
[I] fear ٱلْمَوَٰلِىَl-mawāliya
the successors مِنmin
after me وَرَآءِىwarāī
after me وَكَانَتِwakānati
and is ٱمْرَأَتِىim'ra-atī
my wife عَاقِرًۭاʿāqiran
barren فَهَبْfahab
So give لِىlī
[to] me مِنmin
from لَّدُنكَladunka
Yourself وَلِيًّۭاwaliyyan
an heir ٥
And indeed, I خِفْتُkhif'tu
[I] fear ٱلْمَوَٰلِىَl-mawāliya
the successors مِنmin
after me وَرَآءِىwarāī
after me وَكَانَتِwakānati
and is ٱمْرَأَتِىim'ra-atī
my wife عَاقِرًۭاʿāqiran
barren فَهَبْfahab
So give لِىlī
[to] me مِنmin
from لَّدُنكَladunka
Yourself وَلِيًّۭاwaliyyan
an heir ٥
يَرِثُنِىyarithunī
Who will inherit me وَيَرِثُwayarithu
and inherit مِنْmin
from ءَالِāli
(the) family يَعْقُوبَ ۖyaʿqūba
(of) Yaqub وَٱجْعَلْهُwa-ij'ʿalhu
And make him رَبِّrabbi
my Lord رَضِيًّۭاraḍiyyan
pleasing ٦
Who will inherit me وَيَرِثُwayarithu
and inherit مِنْmin
from ءَالِāli
(the) family يَعْقُوبَ ۖyaʿqūba
(of) Yaqub وَٱجْعَلْهُwa-ij'ʿalhu
And make him رَبِّrabbi
my Lord رَضِيًّۭاraḍiyyan
pleasing ٦
يَـٰزَكَرِيَّآyāzakariyyā
O Zakariya إِنَّاinnā
Indeed, We نُبَشِّرُكَnubashiruka
[We] give you glad tidings بِغُلَـٰمٍbighulāmin
of a boy ٱسْمُهُۥus'muhu
his name يَحْيَىٰyaḥyā
(will be) Yahya لَمْlam
not نَجْعَلnajʿal
We (have) assigned لَّهُۥlahu
[for] it مِنmin
before قَبْلُqablu
before سَمِيًّۭاsamiyyan
(this) name ٧
O Zakariya إِنَّاinnā
Indeed, We نُبَشِّرُكَnubashiruka
[We] give you glad tidings بِغُلَـٰمٍbighulāmin
of a boy ٱسْمُهُۥus'muhu
his name يَحْيَىٰyaḥyā
(will be) Yahya لَمْlam
not نَجْعَلnajʿal
We (have) assigned لَّهُۥlahu

before قَبْلُqablu
before سَمِيًّۭاsamiyyan
(this) name ٧
قَالَqāla
He said رَبِّrabbi
My Lord أَنَّىٰannā
How يَكُونُyakūnu
can لِىlī
I have غُلَـٰمٌۭghulāmun
a boy وَكَانَتِwakānati
while is ٱمْرَأَتِىim'ra-atī
my wife عَاقِرًۭاʿāqiran
barren وَقَدْwaqad
and indeed بَلَغْتُbalaghtu
I have reached مِنَmina
of ٱلْكِبَرِl-kibari
the old age عِتِيًّۭاʿitiyyan
extreme ٨
He said رَبِّrabbi
My Lord أَنَّىٰannā
How يَكُونُyakūnu
can لِىlī
I have غُلَـٰمٌۭghulāmun
a boy وَكَانَتِwakānati
while is ٱمْرَأَتِىim'ra-atī
my wife عَاقِرًۭاʿāqiran
barren وَقَدْwaqad
and indeed بَلَغْتُbalaghtu
I have reached مِنَmina
of ٱلْكِبَرِl-kibari
the old age عِتِيًّۭاʿitiyyan
extreme ٨
قَالَqāla
He said كَذَٰلِكَkadhālika
Thus قَالَqāla
said رَبُّكَrabbuka
your Lord هُوَhuwa
'It عَلَىَّʿalayya
(is) easy for Me هَيِّنٌۭhayyinun
(is) easy for Me وَقَدْwaqad
and certainly خَلَقْتُكَkhalaqtuka
I (have) created you مِنmin
before قَبْلُqablu
before وَلَمْwalam
while not تَكُtaku
you were شَيْـًۭٔاshayan
anything.' ٩
He said كَذَٰلِكَkadhālika
Thus قَالَqāla
said رَبُّكَrabbuka
your Lord هُوَhuwa
'It عَلَىَّʿalayya
(is) easy for Me هَيِّنٌۭhayyinun
(is) easy for Me وَقَدْwaqad
and certainly خَلَقْتُكَkhalaqtuka
I (have) created you مِنmin
before قَبْلُqablu
before وَلَمْwalam
while not تَكُtaku

anything.' ٩
قَالَqāla
He said رَبِّrabbi
My Lord ٱجْعَلij'ʿal
Make لِّىٓlī
for me ءَايَةًۭ ۚāyatan
a sign قَالَqāla
He said ءَايَتُكَāyatuka
Your sign أَلَّاallā
(is) that not تُكَلِّمَtukallima
you will speak ٱلنَّاسَl-nāsa
(to) the people ثَلَـٰثَthalātha
(for) three لَيَالٍۢlayālin
nights سَوِيًّۭاsawiyyan
sound ١٠
He said رَبِّrabbi
My Lord ٱجْعَلij'ʿal
Make لِّىٓlī
for me ءَايَةًۭ ۚāyatan
a sign قَالَqāla
He said ءَايَتُكَāyatuka
Your sign أَلَّاallā
(is) that not تُكَلِّمَtukallima
you will speak ٱلنَّاسَl-nāsa
(to) the people ثَلَـٰثَthalātha
(for) three لَيَالٍۢlayālin
nights سَوِيًّۭاsawiyyan
sound ١٠
فَخَرَجَfakharaja
Then he came out عَلَىٰʿalā
to قَوْمِهِۦqawmihi
his people مِنَmina
from ٱلْمِحْرَابِl-miḥ'rābi
the prayer chamber فَأَوْحَىٰٓfa-awḥā
and he signaled إِلَيْهِمْilayhim
to them أَنan
to سَبِّحُوا۟sabbiḥū
glorify (Allah) بُكْرَةًۭbuk'ratan
(in) the morning وَعَشِيًّۭاwaʿashiyyan
and (in) the evening ١١
Then he came out عَلَىٰʿalā
to قَوْمِهِۦqawmihi
his people مِنَmina
from ٱلْمِحْرَابِl-miḥ'rābi
the prayer chamber فَأَوْحَىٰٓfa-awḥā
and he signaled إِلَيْهِمْilayhim
to them أَنan
to سَبِّحُوا۟sabbiḥū
glorify (Allah) بُكْرَةًۭbuk'ratan
(in) the morning وَعَشِيًّۭاwaʿashiyyan
and (in) the evening ١١
يَـٰيَحْيَىٰyāyaḥyā
O Yahya خُذِkhudhi
Hold ٱلْكِتَـٰبَl-kitāba
the Scripture بِقُوَّةٍۢ ۖbiquwwatin
with strength وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُwaātaynāhu
And We gave him ٱلْحُكْمَl-ḥuk'ma
[the] wisdom صَبِيًّۭاṣabiyyan
(when he was) a child ١٢
O Yahya خُذِkhudhi
Hold ٱلْكِتَـٰبَl-kitāba
the Scripture بِقُوَّةٍۢ ۖbiquwwatin
with strength وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُwaātaynāhu
And We gave him ٱلْحُكْمَl-ḥuk'ma
[the] wisdom صَبِيًّۭاṣabiyyan
(when he was) a child ١٢
وَحَنَانًۭاwaḥanānan
And affection مِّنmin
from لَّدُنَّاladunnā
Us وَزَكَوٰةًۭ ۖwazakatan
and purity وَكَانَwakāna
and he was تَقِيًّۭاtaqiyyan
righteous ١٣
And affection مِّنmin
from لَّدُنَّاladunnā
Us وَزَكَوٰةًۭ ۖwazakatan
and purity وَكَانَwakāna
and he was تَقِيًّۭاtaqiyyan
righteous ١٣
وَبَرًّۢاwabarran
And dutiful بِوَٰلِدَيْهِbiwālidayhi
to his parents وَلَمْwalam
and not يَكُنyakun
he was جَبَّارًاjabbāran
a tyrant عَصِيًّۭاʿaṣiyyan
disobedient ١٤
And dutiful بِوَٰلِدَيْهِbiwālidayhi
to his parents وَلَمْwalam
and not يَكُنyakun
he was جَبَّارًاjabbāran
a tyrant عَصِيًّۭاʿaṣiyyan
disobedient ١٤
وَسَلَـٰمٌwasalāmun
And peace be عَلَيْهِʿalayhi
upon him يَوْمَyawma
(the) day وُلِدَwulida
he was born وَيَوْمَwayawma
and (the) day يَمُوتُyamūtu
he dies وَيَوْمَwayawma
and (the) day يُبْعَثُyub'ʿathu
he will be raised حَيًّۭاḥayyan
alive ١٥
And peace be عَلَيْهِʿalayhi
upon him يَوْمَyawma
(the) day وُلِدَwulida
he was born وَيَوْمَwayawma
and (the) day يَمُوتُyamūtu
he dies وَيَوْمَwayawma
and (the) day يُبْعَثُyub'ʿathu
he will be raised حَيًّۭاḥayyan
alive ١٥
وَٱذْكُرْwa-udh'kur
And mention فِىfī
in ٱلْكِتَـٰبِl-kitābi
the Book مَرْيَمَmaryama
Maryam إِذِidhi
when ٱنتَبَذَتْintabadhat
she withdrew مِنْmin
from أَهْلِهَاahlihā
her family مَكَانًۭاmakānan
(to) a place شَرْقِيًّۭاsharqiyyan
eastern ١٦
And mention فِىfī
in ٱلْكِتَـٰبِl-kitābi
the Book مَرْيَمَmaryama
Maryam إِذِidhi
when ٱنتَبَذَتْintabadhat
she withdrew مِنْmin
from أَهْلِهَاahlihā
her family مَكَانًۭاmakānan
(to) a place شَرْقِيًّۭاsharqiyyan
eastern ١٦
فَٱتَّخَذَتْfa-ittakhadhat
Then she took مِنmin
from them دُونِهِمْdūnihim
from them حِجَابًۭاḥijāban
a screen فَأَرْسَلْنَآfa-arsalnā
Then We sent إِلَيْهَاilayhā
to her رُوحَنَاrūḥanā
Our Spirit فَتَمَثَّلَfatamathala
then he assumed for her the likeness لَهَاlahā
then he assumed for her the likeness بَشَرًۭاbasharan
(of) a man سَوِيًّۭاsawiyyan
well-proportioned ١٧
Then she took مِنmin
from them دُونِهِمْdūnihim
from them حِجَابًۭاḥijāban
a screen فَأَرْسَلْنَآfa-arsalnā
Then We sent إِلَيْهَاilayhā
to her رُوحَنَاrūḥanā
Our Spirit فَتَمَثَّلَfatamathala
then he assumed for her the likeness لَهَاlahā
then he assumed for her the likeness بَشَرًۭاbasharan
(of) a man سَوِيًّۭاsawiyyan
well-proportioned ١٧
قَالَتْqālat
She said إِنِّىٓinnī
Indeed, I أَعُوذُaʿūdhu
[I] seek refuge بِٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِbil-raḥmāni
with the Most Gracious مِنكَminka
from you إِنin
if كُنتَkunta
you are تَقِيًّۭاtaqiyyan
God fearing ١٨
She said إِنِّىٓinnī
Indeed, I أَعُوذُaʿūdhu
[I] seek refuge بِٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِbil-raḥmāni
with the Most Gracious مِنكَminka
from you إِنin
if كُنتَkunta
you are تَقِيًّۭاtaqiyyan
God fearing ١٨
قَالَqāla
He said إِنَّمَآinnamā
Only أَنَا۠anā
I am رَسُولُrasūlu
a Messenger رَبِّكِrabbiki
(from) your Lord لِأَهَبَli-ahaba
that I (may) bestow لَكِlaki
on you غُلَـٰمًۭاghulāman
a son زَكِيًّۭاzakiyyan
pure ١٩
He said إِنَّمَآinnamā
Only أَنَا۠anā
I am رَسُولُrasūlu
a Messenger رَبِّكِrabbiki
(from) your Lord لِأَهَبَli-ahaba
that I (may) bestow لَكِlaki
on you غُلَـٰمًۭاghulāman
a son زَكِيًّۭاzakiyyan
pure ١٩
قَالَتْqālat
She said أَنَّىٰannā
How يَكُونُyakūnu
can be لِىlī
for me غُلَـٰمٌۭghulāmun
a son وَلَمْwalam
when not يَمْسَسْنِىyamsasnī
has touched me بَشَرٌۭbasharun
a man وَلَمْwalam
and not أَكُaku
I am بَغِيًّۭاbaghiyyan
unchaste ٢٠
She said أَنَّىٰannā
How يَكُونُyakūnu
can be لِىlī
for me غُلَـٰمٌۭghulāmun
a son وَلَمْwalam
when not يَمْسَسْنِىyamsasnī
has touched me بَشَرٌۭbasharun
a man وَلَمْwalam
and not أَكُaku
I am بَغِيًّۭاbaghiyyan
unchaste ٢٠
قَالَqāla
He said كَذَٰلِكِkadhāliki
Thus قَالَqāla
said رَبُّكِrabbuki
your Lord هُوَhuwa
'It عَلَىَّʿalayya
(is) for Me هَيِّنٌۭ ۖhayyinun
easy وَلِنَجْعَلَهُۥٓwalinajʿalahu
and so that We will make him ءَايَةًۭāyatan
a sign لِّلنَّاسِlilnnāsi
for the mankind وَرَحْمَةًۭwaraḥmatan
and a Mercy مِّنَّا ۚminnā
from Us وَكَانَwakāna
And (it) is أَمْرًۭاamran
a matter مَّقْضِيًّۭاmaqḍiyyan
decreed.' ٢١
He said كَذَٰلِكِkadhāliki
Thus قَالَqāla
said رَبُّكِrabbuki
your Lord هُوَhuwa
'It عَلَىَّʿalayya
(is) for Me هَيِّنٌۭ ۖhayyinun
easy وَلِنَجْعَلَهُۥٓwalinajʿalahu
and so that We will make him ءَايَةًۭāyatan
a sign لِّلنَّاسِlilnnāsi
for the mankind وَرَحْمَةًۭwaraḥmatan
and a Mercy مِّنَّا ۚminnā
from Us وَكَانَwakāna
And (it) is أَمْرًۭاamran
a matter مَّقْضِيًّۭاmaqḍiyyan
decreed.' ٢١
۞ فَحَمَلَتْهُfaḥamalathu
So she conceived him فَٱنتَبَذَتْfa-intabadhat
and she withdrew بِهِۦbihi
with him مَكَانًۭاmakānan
(to) a place قَصِيًّۭاqaṣiyyan
remote ٢٢
So she conceived him فَٱنتَبَذَتْfa-intabadhat
and she withdrew بِهِۦbihi
with him مَكَانًۭاmakānan
(to) a place قَصِيًّۭاqaṣiyyan
remote ٢٢
فَأَجَآءَهَاfa-ajāahā
Then drove her ٱلْمَخَاضُl-makhāḍu
the pains of childbirth إِلَىٰilā
to جِذْعِjidh'ʿi
(the) trunk ٱلنَّخْلَةِl-nakhlati
(of) the date-palm قَالَتْqālat
She said يَـٰلَيْتَنِىyālaytanī
O! I wish مِتُّmittu
I (had) died قَبْلَqabla
before هَـٰذَاhādhā
this وَكُنتُwakuntu
and I was نَسْيًۭاnasyan
(in) oblivion مَّنسِيًّۭاmansiyyan
forgotten ٢٣
Then drove her ٱلْمَخَاضُl-makhāḍu
the pains of childbirth إِلَىٰilā
to جِذْعِjidh'ʿi
(the) trunk ٱلنَّخْلَةِl-nakhlati
(of) the date-palm قَالَتْqālat
She said يَـٰلَيْتَنِىyālaytanī
O! I wish مِتُّmittu
I (had) died قَبْلَqabla
before هَـٰذَاhādhā
this وَكُنتُwakuntu
and I was نَسْيًۭاnasyan
(in) oblivion مَّنسِيًّۭاmansiyyan
forgotten ٢٣
فَنَادَىٰهَاfanādāhā
So cried to her مِنmin
from تَحْتِهَآtaḥtihā
beneath her أَلَّاallā
That (do) not تَحْزَنِىtaḥzanī
grieve قَدْqad
verily جَعَلَjaʿala
(has) placed رَبُّكِrabbuki
your Lord تَحْتَكِtaḥtaki
beneath you سَرِيًّۭاsariyyan
a stream ٢٤
So cried to her مِنmin
from تَحْتِهَآtaḥtihā
beneath her أَلَّاallā
That (do) not تَحْزَنِىtaḥzanī
grieve قَدْqad
verily جَعَلَjaʿala
(has) placed رَبُّكِrabbuki
your Lord تَحْتَكِtaḥtaki
beneath you سَرِيًّۭاsariyyan
a stream ٢٤
وَهُزِّىٓwahuzzī
And shake إِلَيْكِilayki
towards you بِجِذْعِbijidh'ʿi
(the) trunk ٱلنَّخْلَةِl-nakhlati
(of) the date-palm تُسَـٰقِطْtusāqiṭ
it will drop عَلَيْكِʿalayki
upon you رُطَبًۭاruṭaban
fresh dates جَنِيًّۭاjaniyyan
ripe ٢٥
And shake إِلَيْكِilayki
towards you بِجِذْعِbijidh'ʿi
(the) trunk ٱلنَّخْلَةِl-nakhlati
(of) the date-palm تُسَـٰقِطْtusāqiṭ
it will drop عَلَيْكِʿalayki
upon you رُطَبًۭاruṭaban
fresh dates جَنِيًّۭاjaniyyan
ripe ٢٥
فَكُلِىfakulī
So eat وَٱشْرَبِىwa-ish'rabī
and drink وَقَرِّىwaqarrī
and cool عَيْنًۭا ۖʿaynan
(your) eyes فَإِمَّاfa-immā
And if تَرَيِنَّtarayinna
you see مِنَmina
from ٱلْبَشَرِl-bashari
human being أَحَدًۭاaḥadan
anyone فَقُولِىٓfaqūlī
then say إِنِّىinnī
Indeed, I نَذَرْتُnadhartu
[I] have vowed لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِlilrraḥmāni
to the Most Gracious صَوْمًۭاṣawman
a fast فَلَنْfalan
so not أُكَلِّمَukallima
I will speak ٱلْيَوْمَl-yawma
today إِنسِيًّۭاinsiyyan
(to any) human being ٢٦
So eat وَٱشْرَبِىwa-ish'rabī
and drink وَقَرِّىwaqarrī
and cool عَيْنًۭا ۖʿaynan
(your) eyes فَإِمَّاfa-immā
And if تَرَيِنَّtarayinna
you see مِنَmina
from ٱلْبَشَرِl-bashari
human being أَحَدًۭاaḥadan
anyone فَقُولِىٓfaqūlī
then say إِنِّىinnī
Indeed, I نَذَرْتُnadhartu
[I] have vowed لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِlilrraḥmāni
to the Most Gracious صَوْمًۭاṣawman
a fast فَلَنْfalan
so not أُكَلِّمَukallima
I will speak ٱلْيَوْمَl-yawma
today إِنسِيًّۭاinsiyyan
(to any) human being ٢٦
فَأَتَتْfa-atat
Then she came بِهِۦbihi
with him قَوْمَهَاqawmahā
(to) her people تَحْمِلُهُۥ ۖtaḥmiluhu
carrying him قَالُوا۟qālū
They said يَـٰمَرْيَمُyāmaryamu
O Maryam لَقَدْlaqad
Certainly جِئْتِji'ti
you (have) brought شَيْـًۭٔاshayan
an amazing thing فَرِيًّۭاfariyyan
an amazing thing ٢٧
Then she came بِهِۦbihi
with him قَوْمَهَاqawmahā
(to) her people تَحْمِلُهُۥ ۖtaḥmiluhu
carrying him قَالُوا۟qālū
They said يَـٰمَرْيَمُyāmaryamu
O Maryam لَقَدْlaqad
Certainly جِئْتِji'ti
you (have) brought شَيْـًۭٔاshayan
an amazing thing فَرِيًّۭاfariyyan
an amazing thing ٢٧
يَـٰٓأُخْتَyāukh'ta
O sister هَـٰرُونَhārūna
(of) Harun مَاmā
Not كَانَkāna
was أَبُوكِabūki
your father ٱمْرَأَim'ra-a
an evil man سَوْءٍۢsawin
an evil man وَمَاwamā
and not كَانَتْkānat
was أُمُّكِummuki
your mother بَغِيًّۭاbaghiyyan
unchaste ٢٨
O sister هَـٰرُونَhārūna
(of) Harun مَاmā
Not كَانَkāna
was أَبُوكِabūki
your father ٱمْرَأَim'ra-a
an evil man سَوْءٍۢsawin
an evil man وَمَاwamā
and not كَانَتْkānat
was أُمُّكِummuki
your mother بَغِيًّۭاbaghiyyan
unchaste ٢٨
فَأَشَارَتْfa-ashārat
Then she pointed إِلَيْهِ ۖilayhi
to him قَالُوا۟qālū
They said كَيْفَkayfa
How نُكَلِّمُnukallimu
(can) we speak مَنman
(to one) who كَانَkāna
is فِىfī
in ٱلْمَهْدِl-mahdi
the cradle صَبِيًّۭاṣabiyyan
a child ٢٩
Then she pointed إِلَيْهِ ۖilayhi
to him قَالُوا۟qālū
They said كَيْفَkayfa
How نُكَلِّمُnukallimu
(can) we speak مَنman
(to one) who كَانَkāna
is فِىfī
in ٱلْمَهْدِl-mahdi
the cradle صَبِيًّۭاṣabiyyan
a child ٢٩
قَالَqāla
He said إِنِّىinnī
Indeed, I am عَبْدُʿabdu
a slave ٱللَّهِl-lahi
(of) Allah ءَاتَىٰنِىَātāniya
He gave me ٱلْكِتَـٰبَl-kitāba
the Scripture وَجَعَلَنِىwajaʿalanī
and made me نَبِيًّۭاnabiyyan
a Prophet ٣٠
He said إِنِّىinnī
Indeed, I am عَبْدُʿabdu
a slave ٱللَّهِl-lahi
(of) Allah ءَاتَىٰنِىَātāniya
He gave me ٱلْكِتَـٰبَl-kitāba
the Scripture وَجَعَلَنِىwajaʿalanī
and made me نَبِيًّۭاnabiyyan
a Prophet ٣٠
وَجَعَلَنِىwajaʿalanī
And He (has) made me مُبَارَكًاmubārakan
blessed أَيْنَayna
wherever مَاmā
wherever كُنتُkuntu
I am وَأَوْصَـٰنِىwa-awṣānī
and has enjoined (on) me بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِbil-ṣalati
[of] the prayer وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِwal-zakati
and zakah مَاmā
as long as I am دُمْتُdum'tu
as long as I am حَيًّۭاḥayyan
alive ٣١
And He (has) made me مُبَارَكًاmubārakan
blessed أَيْنَayna
wherever مَاmā
wherever كُنتُkuntu
I am وَأَوْصَـٰنِىwa-awṣānī
and has enjoined (on) me بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِbil-ṣalati
[of] the prayer وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِwal-zakati
and zakah مَاmā
as long as I am دُمْتُdum'tu
as long as I am حَيًّۭاḥayyan
alive ٣١
وَبَرًّۢاwabarran
And dutiful بِوَٰلِدَتِىbiwālidatī
to my mother وَلَمْwalam
and not يَجْعَلْنِىyajʿalnī
He (has) made me جَبَّارًۭاjabbāran
insolent شَقِيًّۭاshaqiyyan
unblessed ٣٢
And dutiful بِوَٰلِدَتِىbiwālidatī
to my mother وَلَمْwalam
and not يَجْعَلْنِىyajʿalnī
He (has) made me جَبَّارًۭاjabbāran
insolent شَقِيًّۭاshaqiyyan
unblessed ٣٢
وَٱلسَّلَـٰمُwal-salāmu
And peace (be) عَلَىَّʿalayya
on me يَوْمَyawma
(the) day وُلِدتُّwulidttu
I was born وَيَوْمَwayawma
and (the) day أَمُوتُamūtu
I will die وَيَوْمَwayawma
and (the) Day أُبْعَثُub'ʿathu
I will be raised حَيًّۭاḥayyan
alive ٣٣
And peace (be) عَلَىَّʿalayya
on me يَوْمَyawma
(the) day وُلِدتُّwulidttu
I was born وَيَوْمَwayawma
and (the) day أَمُوتُamūtu
I will die وَيَوْمَwayawma
and (the) Day أُبْعَثُub'ʿathu
I will be raised حَيًّۭاḥayyan
alive ٣٣
ذَٰلِكَdhālika
That عِيسَىʿīsā
(was) Isa ٱبْنُub'nu
(the) son مَرْيَمَ ۚmaryama
(of) Maryam قَوْلَqawla
a statement ٱلْحَقِّl-ḥaqi
(of) truth ٱلَّذِىalladhī
that which فِيهِfīhi
about it يَمْتَرُونَyamtarūna
they dispute ٣٤
That عِيسَىʿīsā
(was) Isa ٱبْنُub'nu
(the) son مَرْيَمَ ۚmaryama
(of) Maryam قَوْلَqawla
a statement ٱلْحَقِّl-ḥaqi
(of) truth ٱلَّذِىalladhī
that which فِيهِfīhi
about it يَمْتَرُونَyamtarūna
they dispute ٣٤
مَاmā
Not كَانَkāna
(it) is لِلَّهِlillahi
for Allah أَنan
that يَتَّخِذَyattakhidha
He should take مِنmin
any son وَلَدٍۢ ۖwaladin
any son سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥٓ ۚsub'ḥānahu
Glory be to Him إِذَاidhā
When قَضَىٰٓqaḍā
He decrees أَمْرًۭاamran
a matter فَإِنَّمَاfa-innamā
then only يَقُولُyaqūlu
He says لَهُۥlahu
to it كُنkun
Be فَيَكُونُfayakūnu
and it is ٣٥
Not كَانَkāna
(it) is لِلَّهِlillahi
for Allah أَنan
that يَتَّخِذَyattakhidha
He should take مِنmin
any son وَلَدٍۢ ۖwaladin
any son سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥٓ ۚsub'ḥānahu
Glory be to Him إِذَاidhā
When قَضَىٰٓqaḍā
He decrees أَمْرًۭاamran
a matter فَإِنَّمَاfa-innamā
then only يَقُولُyaqūlu
He says لَهُۥlahu
to it كُنkun
Be فَيَكُونُfayakūnu
and it is ٣٥
وَإِنَّwa-inna
And indeed ٱللَّهَl-laha
Allah رَبِّىrabbī
(is) my Lord وَرَبُّكُمْwarabbukum
and your Lord فَٱعْبُدُوهُ ۚfa-uʿ'budūhu
so worship Him هَـٰذَاhādhā
This صِرَٰطٌۭṣirāṭun
(is) a path مُّسْتَقِيمٌۭmus'taqīmun
straight ٣٦
And indeed ٱللَّهَl-laha
Allah رَبِّىrabbī
(is) my Lord وَرَبُّكُمْwarabbukum
and your Lord فَٱعْبُدُوهُ ۚfa-uʿ'budūhu
so worship Him هَـٰذَاhādhā
This صِرَٰطٌۭṣirāṭun
(is) a path مُّسْتَقِيمٌۭmus'taqīmun
straight ٣٦
فَٱخْتَلَفَfa-ikh'talafa
But differed ٱلْأَحْزَابُl-aḥzābu
the sects مِنۢmin
from among them بَيْنِهِمْ ۖbaynihim
from among them فَوَيْلٌۭfawaylun
so woe لِّلَّذِينَlilladhīna
to those who كَفَرُوا۟kafarū
disbelieve مِنmin
from مَّشْهَدِmashhadi
(the) witnessing يَوْمٍyawmin
(of) a Day عَظِيمٍʿaẓīmin
great ٣٧
But differed ٱلْأَحْزَابُl-aḥzābu
the sects مِنۢmin
from among them بَيْنِهِمْ ۖbaynihim
from among them فَوَيْلٌۭfawaylun
so woe لِّلَّذِينَlilladhīna
to those who كَفَرُوا۟kafarū
disbelieve مِنmin
from مَّشْهَدِmashhadi
(the) witnessing يَوْمٍyawmin
(of) a Day عَظِيمٍʿaẓīmin
great ٣٧
أَسْمِعْasmiʿ
How they will hear بِهِمْbihim
How they will hear وَأَبْصِرْwa-abṣir
and how (they will) see يَوْمَyawma
(the) Day يَأْتُونَنَا ۖyatūnanā
they will come to Us لَـٰكِنِlākini
but ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَl-ẓālimūna
the wrongdoers ٱلْيَوْمَl-yawma
today فِىfī
(are) in ضَلَـٰلٍۢḍalālin
error مُّبِينٍۢmubīnin
clear ٣٨
How they will hear بِهِمْbihim
How they will hear وَأَبْصِرْwa-abṣir
and how (they will) see يَوْمَyawma
(the) Day يَأْتُونَنَا ۖyatūnanā
they will come to Us لَـٰكِنِlākini
but ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَl-ẓālimūna
the wrongdoers ٱلْيَوْمَl-yawma
today فِىfī
(are) in ضَلَـٰلٍۢḍalālin
error مُّبِينٍۢmubīnin
clear ٣٨
وَأَنذِرْهُمْwa-andhir'hum
And warn them يَوْمَyawma
(of the) Day ٱلْحَسْرَةِl-ḥasrati
(of) the Regret إِذْidh
when قُضِىَquḍiya
has been decided ٱلْأَمْرُl-amru
the matter وَهُمْwahum
And they فِىfī
(are) in غَفْلَةٍۢghaflatin
heedlessness وَهُمْwahum
and they لَاlā
(do) not يُؤْمِنُونَyu'minūna
believe ٣٩
And warn them يَوْمَyawma
(of the) Day ٱلْحَسْرَةِl-ḥasrati
(of) the Regret إِذْidh
when قُضِىَquḍiya
has been decided ٱلْأَمْرُl-amru
the matter وَهُمْwahum
And they فِىfī
(are) in غَفْلَةٍۢghaflatin
heedlessness وَهُمْwahum
and they لَاlā
(do) not يُؤْمِنُونَyu'minūna
believe ٣٩
إِنَّاinnā
Indeed, We نَحْنُnaḥnu
[We] نَرِثُnarithu
[We] will inherit ٱلْأَرْضَl-arḍa
the earth وَمَنْwaman
and whoever عَلَيْهَاʿalayhā
(is) on it وَإِلَيْنَاwa-ilaynā
and to Us يُرْجَعُونَyur'jaʿūna
they will be returned ٤٠
Indeed, We نَحْنُnaḥnu
[We] نَرِثُnarithu
[We] will inherit ٱلْأَرْضَl-arḍa
the earth وَمَنْwaman
and whoever عَلَيْهَاʿalayhā
(is) on it وَإِلَيْنَاwa-ilaynā
and to Us يُرْجَعُونَyur'jaʿūna
they will be returned ٤٠
وَٱذْكُرْwa-udh'kur
And mention فِىfī
in ٱلْكِتَـٰبِl-kitābi
the Book إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ۚib'rāhīma
Ibrahim إِنَّهُۥinnahu
Indeed, he كَانَkāna
was صِدِّيقًۭاṣiddīqan
a man of truth نَّبِيًّاnabiyyan
a Prophet ٤١
And mention فِىfī
in ٱلْكِتَـٰبِl-kitābi
the Book إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ۚib'rāhīma
Ibrahim إِنَّهُۥinnahu
Indeed, he كَانَkāna
was صِدِّيقًۭاṣiddīqan
a man of truth نَّبِيًّاnabiyyan
a Prophet ٤١
إِذْidh
When قَالَqāla
he said لِأَبِيهِli-abīhi
to his father يَـٰٓأَبَتِyāabati
O my father لِمَlima
Why تَعْبُدُtaʿbudu
(do) you worship مَاmā
that which لَاlā
not يَسْمَعُyasmaʿu
hears وَلَاwalā
and not يُبْصِرُyub'ṣiru
sees وَلَاwalā
and not يُغْنِىyugh'nī
benefits عَنكَʿanka
[to] you شَيْـًۭٔاshayan
(in) anything ٤٢
When قَالَqāla
he said لِأَبِيهِli-abīhi
to his father يَـٰٓأَبَتِyāabati
O my father لِمَlima
Why تَعْبُدُtaʿbudu
(do) you worship مَاmā
that which لَاlā
not يَسْمَعُyasmaʿu
hears وَلَاwalā
and not يُبْصِرُyub'ṣiru
sees وَلَاwalā
and not يُغْنِىyugh'nī
benefits عَنكَʿanka
[to] you شَيْـًۭٔاshayan
(in) anything ٤٢
يَـٰٓأَبَتِyāabati
O my father إِنِّىinnī
Indeed, [I] قَدْqad
verily جَآءَنِىjāanī
(has) come to me مِنَmina
of ٱلْعِلْمِl-ʿil'mi
the knowledge مَاmā
what لَمْlam
not يَأْتِكَyatika
came to you فَٱتَّبِعْنِىٓfa-ittabiʿ'nī
so follow me أَهْدِكَahdika
I will guide you صِرَٰطًۭاṣirāṭan
(to) the path سَوِيًّۭاsawiyyan
even ٤٣
O my father إِنِّىinnī
Indeed, [I] قَدْqad
verily جَآءَنِىjāanī
(has) come to me مِنَmina
of ٱلْعِلْمِl-ʿil'mi
the knowledge مَاmā
what لَمْlam
not يَأْتِكَyatika
came to you فَٱتَّبِعْنِىٓfa-ittabiʿ'nī
so follow me أَهْدِكَahdika
I will guide you صِرَٰطًۭاṣirāṭan
(to) the path سَوِيًّۭاsawiyyan
even ٤٣
يَـٰٓأَبَتِyāabati
O my father لَاlā
(Do) not تَعْبُدِtaʿbudi
worship ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَ ۖl-shayṭāna
the Shaitaan إِنَّinna
Indeed ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَl-shayṭāna
the Shaitaan كَانَkāna
is لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِlilrraḥmāni
to the Most Gracious عَصِيًّۭاʿaṣiyyan
disobedient ٤٤
O my father لَاlā
(Do) not تَعْبُدِtaʿbudi
worship ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَ ۖl-shayṭāna
the Shaitaan إِنَّinna
Indeed ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَl-shayṭāna
the Shaitaan كَانَkāna
is لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِlilrraḥmāni
to the Most Gracious عَصِيًّۭاʿaṣiyyan
disobedient ٤٤
يَـٰٓأَبَتِyāabati
O my father إِنِّىٓinnī
Indeed, I أَخَافُakhāfu
[I] fear أَنan
that يَمَسَّكَyamassaka
will touch you عَذَابٌۭʿadhābun
a punishment مِّنَmina
from ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِl-raḥmāni
the Most Gracious فَتَكُونَfatakūna
so you would be لِلشَّيْطَـٰنِlilshayṭāni
to the Shaitaan وَلِيًّۭاwaliyyan
a friend ٤٥
O my father إِنِّىٓinnī
Indeed, I أَخَافُakhāfu
[I] fear أَنan
that يَمَسَّكَyamassaka
will touch you عَذَابٌۭʿadhābun
a punishment مِّنَmina
from ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِl-raḥmāni
the Most Gracious فَتَكُونَfatakūna
so you would be لِلشَّيْطَـٰنِlilshayṭāni
to the Shaitaan وَلِيًّۭاwaliyyan
a friend ٤٥
قَالَqāla
He said أَرَاغِبٌarāghibun
Do you hate أَنتَanta
Do you hate عَنْʿan
(from) ءَالِهَتِىālihatī
my gods يَـٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ ۖyāib'rāhīmu
O Ibrahim لَئِنla-in
Surely, if لَّمْlam
not تَنتَهِtantahi
you desist لَأَرْجُمَنَّكَ ۖla-arjumannaka
surely, I will stone you وَٱهْجُرْنِىwa-uh'jur'nī
so leave me مَلِيًّۭاmaliyyan
(for) a prolonged time ٤٦
He said أَرَاغِبٌarāghibun
Do you hate أَنتَanta
Do you hate عَنْʿan
(from) ءَالِهَتِىālihatī
my gods يَـٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ ۖyāib'rāhīmu
O Ibrahim لَئِنla-in
Surely, if لَّمْlam
not تَنتَهِtantahi
you desist لَأَرْجُمَنَّكَ ۖla-arjumannaka
surely, I will stone you وَٱهْجُرْنِىwa-uh'jur'nī
so leave me مَلِيًّۭاmaliyyan
(for) a prolonged time ٤٦
قَالَqāla
He said سَلَـٰمٌsalāmun
Peace (be) عَلَيْكَ ۖʿalayka
on you سَأَسْتَغْفِرُsa-astaghfiru
I will ask forgiveness لَكَlaka
for you رَبِّىٓ ۖrabbī
(from) my Lord إِنَّهُۥinnahu
Indeed, He كَانَkāna
is بِىbī
to me حَفِيًّۭاḥafiyyan
Ever Gracious ٤٧
He said سَلَـٰمٌsalāmun
Peace (be) عَلَيْكَ ۖʿalayka
on you سَأَسْتَغْفِرُsa-astaghfiru
I will ask forgiveness لَكَlaka
for you رَبِّىٓ ۖrabbī
(from) my Lord إِنَّهُۥinnahu
Indeed, He كَانَkāna
is بِىbī
to me حَفِيًّۭاḥafiyyan
Ever Gracious ٤٧
وَأَعْتَزِلُكُمْwa-aʿtazilukum
And I will leave you وَمَاwamā
and what تَدْعُونَtadʿūna
you invoke مِنmin
besides دُونِdūni
besides ٱللَّهِl-lahi
Allah وَأَدْعُوا۟wa-adʿū
and I will invoke رَبِّىrabbī
my Lord عَسَىٰٓʿasā
May be أَلَّآallā
that not أَكُونَakūna
I will be بِدُعَآءِbiduʿāi
in invocation رَبِّىrabbī
(to) my Lord شَقِيًّۭاshaqiyyan
unblessed ٤٨
And I will leave you وَمَاwamā
and what تَدْعُونَtadʿūna
you invoke مِنmin
besides دُونِdūni
besides ٱللَّهِl-lahi
Allah وَأَدْعُوا۟wa-adʿū
and I will invoke رَبِّىrabbī
my Lord عَسَىٰٓʿasā
May be أَلَّآallā
that not أَكُونَakūna
I will be بِدُعَآءِbiduʿāi
in invocation رَبِّىrabbī
(to) my Lord شَقِيًّۭاshaqiyyan
unblessed ٤٨
فَلَمَّاfalammā
So when ٱعْتَزَلَهُمْiʿ'tazalahum
he left them وَمَاwamā
and what يَعْبُدُونَyaʿbudūna
they worshipped مِنmin
besides Allah دُونِdūni
besides Allah ٱللَّهِl-lahi
besides Allah وَهَبْنَاwahabnā
[and] We bestowed لَهُۥٓlahu
[to] him إِسْحَـٰقَis'ḥāqa
Isaac وَيَعْقُوبَ ۖwayaʿqūba
and Yaqub وَكُلًّۭاwakullan
and each (of them) جَعَلْنَاjaʿalnā
We made نَبِيًّۭاnabiyyan
a Prophet ٤٩
So when ٱعْتَزَلَهُمْiʿ'tazalahum
he left them وَمَاwamā
and what يَعْبُدُونَyaʿbudūna
they worshipped مِنmin
besides Allah دُونِdūni
besides Allah ٱللَّهِl-lahi
besides Allah وَهَبْنَاwahabnā
[and] We bestowed لَهُۥٓlahu
[to] him إِسْحَـٰقَis'ḥāqa
Isaac وَيَعْقُوبَ ۖwayaʿqūba
and Yaqub وَكُلًّۭاwakullan
and each (of them) جَعَلْنَاjaʿalnā
We made نَبِيًّۭاnabiyyan
a Prophet ٤٩
وَوَهَبْنَاwawahabnā
And We bestowed لَهُمlahum
to them مِّنmin
of رَّحْمَتِنَاraḥmatinā
Our Mercy وَجَعَلْنَاwajaʿalnā
and We made لَهُمْlahum
for them لِسَانَlisāna
a truthful mention صِدْقٍṣid'qin
a truthful mention عَلِيًّۭاʿaliyyan
high ٥٠
And We bestowed لَهُمlahum
to them مِّنmin
of رَّحْمَتِنَاraḥmatinā
Our Mercy وَجَعَلْنَاwajaʿalnā
and We made لَهُمْlahum
for them لِسَانَlisāna
a truthful mention صِدْقٍṣid'qin
a truthful mention عَلِيًّۭاʿaliyyan
high ٥٠
وَٱذْكُرْwa-udh'kur
And mention فِىfī
in ٱلْكِتَـٰبِl-kitābi
the Book مُوسَىٰٓ ۚmūsā
Musa إِنَّهُۥinnahu
Indeed, he كَانَkāna
was مُخْلَصًۭاmukh'laṣan
chosen وَكَانَwakāna
and was رَسُولًۭاrasūlan
a Messenger نَّبِيًّۭاnabiyyan
a Prophet ٥١
And mention فِىfī
in ٱلْكِتَـٰبِl-kitābi
the Book مُوسَىٰٓ ۚmūsā
Musa إِنَّهُۥinnahu
Indeed, he كَانَkāna
was مُخْلَصًۭاmukh'laṣan
chosen وَكَانَwakāna
and was رَسُولًۭاrasūlan
a Messenger نَّبِيًّۭاnabiyyan
a Prophet ٥١
وَنَـٰدَيْنَـٰهُwanādaynāhu
And We called him مِنmin
from جَانِبِjānibi
(the) side ٱلطُّورِl-ṭūri
(of) the Mount ٱلْأَيْمَنِl-aymani
the right وَقَرَّبْنَـٰهُwaqarrabnāhu
and brought him near نَجِيًّۭاnajiyyan
(for) conversation ٥٢
And We called him مِنmin
from جَانِبِjānibi
(the) side ٱلطُّورِl-ṭūri
(of) the Mount ٱلْأَيْمَنِl-aymani
the right وَقَرَّبْنَـٰهُwaqarrabnāhu
and brought him near نَجِيًّۭاnajiyyan
(for) conversation ٥٢
وَوَهَبْنَاwawahabnā
And We bestowed لَهُۥlahu
[to] him مِنmin
from رَّحْمَتِنَآraḥmatinā
Our Mercy أَخَاهُakhāhu
his brother هَـٰرُونَhārūna
Harun نَبِيًّۭاnabiyyan
a Prophet ٥٣
And We bestowed لَهُۥlahu
[to] him مِنmin
from رَّحْمَتِنَآraḥmatinā
Our Mercy أَخَاهُakhāhu
his brother هَـٰرُونَhārūna
Harun نَبِيًّۭاnabiyyan
a Prophet ٥٣
وَٱذْكُرْwa-udh'kur
And mention فِىfī
in ٱلْكِتَـٰبِl-kitābi
the Book إِسْمَـٰعِيلَ ۚis'māʿīla
Ishmael إِنَّهُۥinnahu
Indeed, he كَانَkāna
was صَادِقَṣādiqa
true ٱلْوَعْدِl-waʿdi
(to his) promise وَكَانَwakāna
and was رَسُولًۭاrasūlan
a Messenger نَّبِيًّۭاnabiyyan
a Prophet ٥٤
And mention فِىfī
in ٱلْكِتَـٰبِl-kitābi
the Book إِسْمَـٰعِيلَ ۚis'māʿīla
Ishmael إِنَّهُۥinnahu
Indeed, he كَانَkāna
was صَادِقَṣādiqa
true ٱلْوَعْدِl-waʿdi
(to his) promise وَكَانَwakāna
and was رَسُولًۭاrasūlan
a Messenger نَّبِيًّۭاnabiyyan
a Prophet ٥٤
وَكَانَwakāna
And he used يَأْمُرُyamuru
(to) enjoin أَهْلَهُۥahlahu
(on) his people بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِbil-ṣalati
the prayer وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِwal-zakati
and zakah وَكَانَwakāna
and was عِندَʿinda
near رَبِّهِۦrabbihi
his Lord مَرْضِيًّۭاmarḍiyyan
pleasing ٥٥
And he used يَأْمُرُyamuru
(to) enjoin أَهْلَهُۥahlahu
(on) his people بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِbil-ṣalati
the prayer وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِwal-zakati
and zakah وَكَانَwakāna
and was عِندَʿinda
near رَبِّهِۦrabbihi
his Lord مَرْضِيًّۭاmarḍiyyan
pleasing ٥٥
وَٱذْكُرْwa-udh'kur
And mention فِىfī
in ٱلْكِتَـٰبِl-kitābi
the Book إِدْرِيسَ ۚid'rīsa
Idris إِنَّهُۥinnahu
Indeed, he كَانَkāna
was صِدِّيقًۭاṣiddīqan
truthful نَّبِيًّۭاnabiyyan
a Prophet ٥٦
And mention فِىfī
in ٱلْكِتَـٰبِl-kitābi
the Book إِدْرِيسَ ۚid'rīsa
Idris إِنَّهُۥinnahu
Indeed, he كَانَkāna
was صِدِّيقًۭاṣiddīqan
truthful نَّبِيًّۭاnabiyyan
a Prophet ٥٦
وَرَفَعْنَـٰهُwarafaʿnāhu
And We raised him مَكَانًاmakānan
(to) a position عَلِيًّاʿaliyyan
high ٥٧
And We raised him مَكَانًاmakānan
(to) a position عَلِيًّاʿaliyyan
high ٥٧
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāika
Those ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
(were) the ones whom أَنْعَمَanʿama
Allah bestowed favor ٱللَّهُl-lahu
Allah bestowed favor عَلَيْهِمʿalayhim
upon them مِّنَmina
from (among) ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَl-nabiyīna
the Prophets مِنmin
of ذُرِّيَّةِdhurriyyati
(the) offspring ءَادَمَādama
(of) Adam وَمِمَّنْwamimman
and of those حَمَلْنَاḥamalnā
We carried مَعَmaʿa
with نُوحٍۢnūḥin
Nuh وَمِنwamin
and of ذُرِّيَّةِdhurriyyati
(the) offspring إِبْرَٰهِيمَib'rāhīma
(of) Ibrahim وَإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَwa-is'rāīla
and Israel وَمِمَّنْwamimman
and of (those) whom هَدَيْنَاhadaynā
We guided وَٱجْتَبَيْنَآ ۚwa-ij'tabaynā
and We chose إِذَاidhā
When تُتْلَىٰtut'lā
were recited عَلَيْهِمْʿalayhim
to them ءَايَـٰتُāyātu
(the) Verses ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِl-raḥmāni
(of) the Most Gracious خَرُّوا۟kharrū
they fell سُجَّدًۭاsujjadan
prostrating وَبُكِيًّۭا ۩wabukiyyan
and weeping ٥٨
Those ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
(were) the ones whom أَنْعَمَanʿama
Allah bestowed favor ٱللَّهُl-lahu
Allah bestowed favor عَلَيْهِمʿalayhim
upon them مِّنَmina
from (among) ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَl-nabiyīna
the Prophets مِنmin
of ذُرِّيَّةِdhurriyyati
(the) offspring ءَادَمَādama
(of) Adam وَمِمَّنْwamimman
and of those حَمَلْنَاḥamalnā
We carried مَعَmaʿa
with نُوحٍۢnūḥin
Nuh وَمِنwamin
and of ذُرِّيَّةِdhurriyyati
(the) offspring إِبْرَٰهِيمَib'rāhīma
(of) Ibrahim وَإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَwa-is'rāīla
and Israel وَمِمَّنْwamimman
and of (those) whom هَدَيْنَاhadaynā
We guided وَٱجْتَبَيْنَآ ۚwa-ij'tabaynā
and We chose إِذَاidhā
When تُتْلَىٰtut'lā
were recited عَلَيْهِمْʿalayhim
to them ءَايَـٰتُāyātu
(the) Verses ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِl-raḥmāni
(of) the Most Gracious خَرُّوا۟kharrū
they fell سُجَّدًۭاsujjadan
prostrating وَبُكِيًّۭا ۩wabukiyyan
and weeping ٥٨
۞ فَخَلَفَfakhalafa
Then succeeded مِنۢmin
after them بَعْدِهِمْbaʿdihim
after them خَلْفٌkhalfun
successors أَضَاعُوا۟aḍāʿū
who neglected ٱلصَّلَوٰةَl-ṣalata
the prayer وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟wa-ittabaʿū
and they followed ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِ ۖl-shahawāti
the lusts فَسَوْفَfasawfa
so soon يَلْقَوْنَyalqawna
they will meet غَيًّاghayyan
evil ٥٩
Then succeeded مِنۢmin
after them بَعْدِهِمْbaʿdihim
after them خَلْفٌkhalfun
successors أَضَاعُوا۟aḍāʿū
who neglected ٱلصَّلَوٰةَl-ṣalata
the prayer وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟wa-ittabaʿū
and they followed ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِ ۖl-shahawāti
the lusts فَسَوْفَfasawfa
so soon يَلْقَوْنَyalqawna
they will meet غَيًّاghayyan
evil ٥٩
إِلَّاillā
Except مَنman
(one) who تَابَtāba
repented وَءَامَنَwaāmana
and believed وَعَمِلَwaʿamila
and did صَـٰلِحًۭاṣāliḥan
good (deeds) فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَfa-ulāika
Then those يَدْخُلُونَyadkhulūna
will enter ٱلْجَنَّةَl-janata
Paradise وَلَاwalā
and not يُظْلَمُونَyuẓ'lamūna
they will be wronged شَيْـًۭٔاshayan
(in) anything ٦٠
Except مَنman
(one) who تَابَtāba
repented وَءَامَنَwaāmana
and believed وَعَمِلَwaʿamila
and did صَـٰلِحًۭاṣāliḥan
good (deeds) فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَfa-ulāika
Then those يَدْخُلُونَyadkhulūna
will enter ٱلْجَنَّةَl-janata
Paradise وَلَاwalā
and not يُظْلَمُونَyuẓ'lamūna
they will be wronged شَيْـًۭٔاshayan
(in) anything ٦٠
جَنَّـٰتِjannāti
Gardens عَدْنٍʿadnin
(of) Eden ٱلَّتِىallatī
which وَعَدَwaʿada
promised ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُl-raḥmānu
the Most Gracious عِبَادَهُۥʿibādahu
(to) His slaves بِٱلْغَيْبِ ۚbil-ghaybi
in the unseen إِنَّهُۥinnahu
Indeed, [it] كَانَkāna
is وَعْدُهُۥwaʿduhu
His promise مَأْتِيًّۭاmatiyyan
sure to come ٦١
Gardens عَدْنٍʿadnin
(of) Eden ٱلَّتِىallatī
which وَعَدَwaʿada
promised ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُl-raḥmānu
the Most Gracious عِبَادَهُۥʿibādahu
(to) His slaves بِٱلْغَيْبِ ۚbil-ghaybi
in the unseen إِنَّهُۥinnahu
Indeed, [it] كَانَkāna
is وَعْدُهُۥwaʿduhu
His promise مَأْتِيًّۭاmatiyyan
sure to come ٦١
لَّاlā
Not يَسْمَعُونَyasmaʿūna
they will hear فِيهَاfīhā
therein لَغْوًاlaghwan
vain talk إِلَّاillā
but سَلَـٰمًۭا ۖsalāman
peace وَلَهُمْwalahum
And for them رِزْقُهُمْriz'quhum
(is) their provision فِيهَاfīhā
therein بُكْرَةًۭbuk'ratan
morning وَعَشِيًّۭاwaʿashiyyan
and evening ٦٢
Not يَسْمَعُونَyasmaʿūna
they will hear فِيهَاfīhā
therein لَغْوًاlaghwan
vain talk إِلَّاillā
but سَلَـٰمًۭا ۖsalāman
peace وَلَهُمْwalahum
And for them رِزْقُهُمْriz'quhum
(is) their provision فِيهَاfīhā
therein بُكْرَةًۭbuk'ratan
morning وَعَشِيًّۭاwaʿashiyyan
and evening ٦٢
تِلْكَtil'ka
This ٱلْجَنَّةُl-janatu
(is) Paradise ٱلَّتِىallatī
which نُورِثُnūrithu
We give (as) inheritance مِنْmin
[of] (to) عِبَادِنَاʿibādinā
Our slaves مَنman
(the one) who كَانَkāna
is تَقِيًّۭاtaqiyyan
righteous ٦٣
This ٱلْجَنَّةُl-janatu
(is) Paradise ٱلَّتِىallatī
which نُورِثُnūrithu
We give (as) inheritance مِنْmin
[of] (to) عِبَادِنَاʿibādinā
Our slaves مَنman
(the one) who كَانَkāna
is تَقِيًّۭاtaqiyyan
righteous ٦٣
وَمَاwamā
And not نَتَنَزَّلُnatanazzalu
we descend إِلَّاillā
except بِأَمْرِbi-amri
by (the) Command رَبِّكَ ۖrabbika
(of) your Lord لَهُۥlahu
To Him (belongs) مَاmā
what بَيْنَbayna
(is) before us أَيْدِينَاaydīnā
(is) before us وَمَاwamā
and what خَلْفَنَاkhalfanā
(is) behind us وَمَاwamā
and what بَيْنَbayna
(is) between ذَٰلِكَ ۚdhālika
that وَمَاwamā
And not كَانَkāna
is رَبُّكَrabbuka
your Lord نَسِيًّۭاnasiyyan
forgetful ٦٤
And not نَتَنَزَّلُnatanazzalu
we descend إِلَّاillā
except بِأَمْرِbi-amri
by (the) Command رَبِّكَ ۖrabbika
(of) your Lord لَهُۥlahu
To Him (belongs) مَاmā
what بَيْنَbayna
(is) before us أَيْدِينَاaydīnā
(is) before us وَمَاwamā
and what خَلْفَنَاkhalfanā
(is) behind us وَمَاwamā
and what بَيْنَbayna
(is) between ذَٰلِكَ ۚdhālika
that وَمَاwamā
And not كَانَkāna
is رَبُّكَrabbuka
your Lord نَسِيًّۭاnasiyyan
forgetful ٦٤
رَّبُّrabbu
Lord ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwāti
(of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِwal-arḍi
and the earth وَمَاwamā
and whatever بَيْنَهُمَاbaynahumā
(is) between both of them فَٱعْبُدْهُfa-uʿ'bud'hu
so worship Him وَٱصْطَبِرْwa-iṣ'ṭabir
and be constant لِعِبَـٰدَتِهِۦ ۚliʿibādatihi
in His worship هَلْhal
Do تَعْلَمُtaʿlamu
you know لَهُۥlahu
for Him سَمِيًّۭاsamiyyan
any similarity ٦٥
Lord ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwāti
(of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِwal-arḍi
and the earth وَمَاwamā
and whatever بَيْنَهُمَاbaynahumā
(is) between both of them فَٱعْبُدْهُfa-uʿ'bud'hu
so worship Him وَٱصْطَبِرْwa-iṣ'ṭabir
and be constant لِعِبَـٰدَتِهِۦ ۚliʿibādatihi
in His worship هَلْhal
Do تَعْلَمُtaʿlamu
you know لَهُۥlahu
for Him سَمِيًّۭاsamiyyan
any similarity ٦٥
وَيَقُولُwayaqūlu
And says ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُl-insānu
[the] man أَءِذَاa-idhā
What! When مَاmā
What! When مِتُّmittu
I am dead لَسَوْفَlasawfa
surely will أُخْرَجُukh'raju
I be brought forth حَيًّاḥayyan
alive ٦٦
And says ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُl-insānu
[the] man أَءِذَاa-idhā
What! When مَاmā
What! When مِتُّmittu
I am dead لَسَوْفَlasawfa
surely will أُخْرَجُukh'raju
I be brought forth حَيًّاḥayyan
alive ٦٦
أَوَلَاawalā
Does not يَذْكُرُyadhkuru
remember ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُl-insānu
[the] man أَنَّاannā
that We خَلَقْنَـٰهُkhalaqnāhu
We created him مِنmin
before قَبْلُqablu
before وَلَمْwalam
while not يَكُyaku
he was شَيْـًۭٔاshayan
anything ٦٧
Does not يَذْكُرُyadhkuru
remember ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُl-insānu
[the] man أَنَّاannā
that We خَلَقْنَـٰهُkhalaqnāhu
We created him مِنmin
before قَبْلُqablu
before وَلَمْwalam
while not يَكُyaku
he was شَيْـًۭٔاshayan
anything ٦٧
فَوَرَبِّكَfawarabbika
So by your Lord لَنَحْشُرَنَّهُمْlanaḥshurannahum
surely, We will gather them وَٱلشَّيَـٰطِينَwal-shayāṭīna
and the devils ثُمَّthumma
then لَنُحْضِرَنَّهُمْlanuḥ'ḍirannahum
surely, We will bring them حَوْلَḥawla
around جَهَنَّمَjahannama
Hell جِثِيًّۭاjithiyyan
bent (on) knees ٦٨
So by your Lord لَنَحْشُرَنَّهُمْlanaḥshurannahum
surely, We will gather them وَٱلشَّيَـٰطِينَwal-shayāṭīna
and the devils ثُمَّthumma
then لَنُحْضِرَنَّهُمْlanuḥ'ḍirannahum
surely, We will bring them حَوْلَḥawla
around جَهَنَّمَjahannama
Hell جِثِيًّۭاjithiyyan
bent (on) knees ٦٨
ثُمَّthumma
Then لَنَنزِعَنَّlananziʿanna
surely, We will drag out مِنmin
from كُلِّkulli
every شِيعَةٍshīʿatin
sect أَيُّهُمْayyuhum
those of them أَشَدُّashaddu
(who were) worst عَلَىʿalā
against ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِl-raḥmāni
the Most Gracious عِتِيًّۭاʿitiyyan
(in) rebellion ٦٩
Then لَنَنزِعَنَّlananziʿanna
surely, We will drag out مِنmin
from كُلِّkulli
every شِيعَةٍshīʿatin
sect أَيُّهُمْayyuhum
those of them أَشَدُّashaddu
(who were) worst عَلَىʿalā
against ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِl-raḥmāni
the Most Gracious عِتِيًّۭاʿitiyyan
(in) rebellion ٦٩
ثُمَّthumma
Then لَنَحْنُlanaḥnu
surely, We أَعْلَمُaʿlamu
know best بِٱلَّذِينَbi-alladhīna
[of] those who هُمْhum
[they] أَوْلَىٰawlā
(are) most worthy بِهَاbihā
therein صِلِيًّۭاṣiliyyan
(of) being burnt ٧٠
Then لَنَحْنُlanaḥnu
surely, We أَعْلَمُaʿlamu
know best بِٱلَّذِينَbi-alladhīna
[of] those who هُمْhum
[they] أَوْلَىٰawlā
(are) most worthy بِهَاbihā
therein صِلِيًّۭاṣiliyyan
(of) being burnt ٧٠
وَإِنwa-in
And (there is) not مِّنكُمْminkum
(any) of you إِلَّاillā
but وَارِدُهَا ۚwāriduhā
(will be) passing over it كَانَkāna
(This) is عَلَىٰʿalā
upon رَبِّكَrabbika
your Lord حَتْمًۭاḥatman
an inevitability مَّقْضِيًّۭاmaqḍiyyan
decreed ٧١
And (there is) not مِّنكُمْminkum
(any) of you إِلَّاillā
but وَارِدُهَا ۚwāriduhā
(will be) passing over it كَانَkāna
(This) is عَلَىٰʿalā
upon رَبِّكَrabbika
your Lord حَتْمًۭاḥatman
an inevitability مَّقْضِيًّۭاmaqḍiyyan
decreed ٧١
ثُمَّthumma
Then نُنَجِّىnunajjī
We will deliver ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
those who ٱتَّقَوا۟ittaqaw
feared (Allah) وَّنَذَرُwanadharu
and We will leave ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَl-ẓālimīna
the wrongdoers فِيهَاfīhā
therein جِثِيًّۭاjithiyyan
bent (on) knees ٧٢
Then نُنَجِّىnunajjī
We will deliver ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
those who ٱتَّقَوا۟ittaqaw
feared (Allah) وَّنَذَرُwanadharu
and We will leave ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَl-ẓālimīna
the wrongdoers فِيهَاfīhā
therein جِثِيًّۭاjithiyyan
bent (on) knees ٧٢
وَإِذَاwa-idhā

to them ءَايَـٰتُنَاāyātunā
Our Verses بَيِّنَـٰتٍۢbayyinātin
clear قَالَqāla
say ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
those who كَفَرُوا۟kafarū
disbelieved لِلَّذِينَlilladhīna
to those who ءَامَنُوٓا۟āmanū
believed أَىُّayyu
Which ٱلْفَرِيقَيْنِl-farīqayni
(of) the two groups خَيْرٌۭkhayrun
(is) better مَّقَامًۭاmaqāman
(in) position وَأَحْسَنُwa-aḥsanu
and best نَدِيًّۭاnadiyyan
(in) assembly ٧٣
And when تُتْلَىٰtut'lā
are recited عَلَيْهِمْʿalayhim
to them ءَايَـٰتُنَاāyātunā
Our Verses بَيِّنَـٰتٍۢbayyinātin
clear قَالَqāla
say ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
those who كَفَرُوا۟kafarū
disbelieved لِلَّذِينَlilladhīna
to those who ءَامَنُوٓا۟āmanū
believed أَىُّayyu
Which ٱلْفَرِيقَيْنِl-farīqayni
(of) the two groups خَيْرٌۭkhayrun
(is) better مَّقَامًۭاmaqāman
(in) position وَأَحْسَنُwa-aḥsanu
and best نَدِيًّۭاnadiyyan
(in) assembly ٧٣
وَكَمْwakam
And how many أَهْلَكْنَاahlaknā
We destroyed قَبْلَهُمqablahum
before them مِّنmin
of قَرْنٍqarnin
a generation هُمْhum
they أَحْسَنُaḥsanu
(were) better أَثَـٰثًۭاathāthan
(in) possessions وَرِءْيًۭاwari'yan

And how many أَهْلَكْنَاahlaknā
We destroyed قَبْلَهُمqablahum
before them مِّنmin
of قَرْنٍqarnin
a generation هُمْhum
they أَحْسَنُaḥsanu
(were) better أَثَـٰثًۭاathāthan
(in) possessions وَرِءْيًۭاwari'yan
and appearance ٧٤
قُلْqul
Say مَنman
Whoever كَانَkāna
is فِىfī
in ٱلضَّلَـٰلَةِl-ḍalālati
[the] error فَلْيَمْدُدْfalyamdud
then surely will extend لَهُlahu
for him ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُl-raḥmānu
the Most Gracious مَدًّا ۚmaddan
an extension حَتَّىٰٓḥattā
until إِذَاidhā
when رَأَوْا۟ra-aw
they see مَاmā
what يُوعَدُونَyūʿadūna
they were promised إِمَّاimmā
either ٱلْعَذَابَl-ʿadhāba
the punishment وَإِمَّاwa-immā
or ٱلسَّاعَةَl-sāʿata
the Hour فَسَيَعْلَمُونَfasayaʿlamūna
then they will know مَنْman
who هُوَhuwa
[he] شَرٌّۭsharrun
(is) worst مَّكَانًۭاmakānan
(in) position وَأَضْعَفُwa-aḍʿafu
and weaker جُندًۭاjundan
(in) forces ٧٥
Say مَنman
Whoever كَانَkāna
is فِىfī
in ٱلضَّلَـٰلَةِl-ḍalālati
[the] error فَلْيَمْدُدْfalyamdud
then surely will extend لَهُlahu
for him ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُl-raḥmānu
the Most Gracious مَدًّا ۚmaddan
an extension حَتَّىٰٓḥattā
until إِذَاidhā
when رَأَوْا۟ra-aw
they see مَاmā
what يُوعَدُونَyūʿadūna
they were promised إِمَّاimmā
either ٱلْعَذَابَl-ʿadhāba
the punishment وَإِمَّاwa-immā
or ٱلسَّاعَةَl-sāʿata
the Hour فَسَيَعْلَمُونَfasayaʿlamūna
then they will know مَنْman
who هُوَhuwa
[he] شَرٌّۭsharrun
(is) worst مَّكَانًۭاmakānan
(in) position وَأَضْعَفُwa-aḍʿafu
and weaker جُندًۭاjundan
(in) forces ٧٥
وَيَزِيدُwayazīdu
And Allah increases ٱللَّهُl-lahu
And Allah increases ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
those who ٱهْتَدَوْا۟ih'tadaw
accept guidance هُدًۭى ۗhudan
(in) guidance وَٱلْبَـٰقِيَـٰتُwal-bāqiyātu
And the everlasting ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتُl-ṣāliḥātu
good deeds خَيْرٌkhayrun
(are) better عِندَʿinda
near رَبِّكَrabbika
your Lord ثَوَابًۭاthawāban
(for) reward وَخَيْرٌۭwakhayrun
and better مَّرَدًّاmaraddan
(for) return ٧٦
And Allah increases ٱللَّهُl-lahu
And Allah increases ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
those who ٱهْتَدَوْا۟ih'tadaw
accept guidance هُدًۭى ۗhudan
(in) guidance وَٱلْبَـٰقِيَـٰتُwal-bāqiyātu
And the everlasting ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتُl-ṣāliḥātu
good deeds خَيْرٌkhayrun
(are) better عِندَʿinda
near رَبِّكَrabbika
your Lord ثَوَابًۭاthawāban
(for) reward وَخَيْرٌۭwakhayrun
and better مَّرَدًّاmaraddan
(for) return ٧٦
أَفَرَءَيْتَafara-ayta
Then, have you seen ٱلَّذِىalladhī
he who كَفَرَkafara
disbelieved بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَاbiāyātinā
in Our Verses وَقَالَwaqāla
and said لَأُوتَيَنَّlaūtayanna
Surely, I will be given مَالًۭاmālan
wealth وَوَلَدًاwawaladan
and children ٧٧
Then, have you seen ٱلَّذِىalladhī
he who كَفَرَkafara
disbelieved بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَاbiāyātinā
in Our Verses وَقَالَwaqāla
and said لَأُوتَيَنَّlaūtayanna
Surely, I will be given مَالًۭاmālan
wealth وَوَلَدًاwawaladan
and children ٧٧
أَطَّلَعَaṭṭalaʿa
Has he looked ٱلْغَيْبَl-ghayba
(into) the unseen أَمِami
or ٱتَّخَذَittakhadha
has he taken عِندَʿinda
from ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِl-raḥmāni
the Most Gracious عَهْدًۭاʿahdan
a promise ٧٨
Has he looked ٱلْغَيْبَl-ghayba
(into) the unseen أَمِami
or ٱتَّخَذَittakhadha
has he taken عِندَʿinda
from ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِl-raḥmāni
the Most Gracious عَهْدًۭاʿahdan
a promise ٧٨
كَلَّا ۚkallā
Nay سَنَكْتُبُsanaktubu
We will record مَاmā
what يَقُولُyaqūlu
he says وَنَمُدُّwanamuddu
and We will extend لَهُۥlahu
for him مِنَmina
from ٱلْعَذَابِl-ʿadhābi
the punishment مَدًّۭاmaddan
extensively ٧٩
Nay سَنَكْتُبُsanaktubu
We will record مَاmā
what يَقُولُyaqūlu
he says وَنَمُدُّwanamuddu
and We will extend لَهُۥlahu
for him مِنَmina
from ٱلْعَذَابِl-ʿadhābi
the punishment مَدًّۭاmaddan
extensively ٧٩
وَنَرِثُهُۥwanarithuhu
And We will inherit (from) him مَاmā
what يَقُولُyaqūlu
he says وَيَأْتِينَاwayatīnā
and he will come to Us فَرْدًۭاfardan
alone ٨٠
And We will inherit (from) him مَاmā
what يَقُولُyaqūlu
he says وَيَأْتِينَاwayatīnā
and he will come to Us فَرْدًۭاfardan
alone ٨٠
وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟wa-ittakhadhū
And they have taken مِنmin
besides Allah دُونِdūni
besides Allah ٱللَّهِl-lahi
besides Allah ءَالِهَةًۭālihatan
gods لِّيَكُونُوا۟liyakūnū
that they may be لَهُمْlahum
for them عِزًّۭاʿizzan
an honor ٨١
And they have taken مِنmin
besides Allah دُونِdūni
besides Allah ٱللَّهِl-lahi
besides Allah ءَالِهَةًۭālihatan
gods لِّيَكُونُوا۟liyakūnū
that they may be لَهُمْlahum
for them عِزًّۭاʿizzan
an honor ٨١
كَلَّا ۚkallā
Nay سَيَكْفُرُونَsayakfurūna
they will deny بِعِبَادَتِهِمْbiʿibādatihim
their worship (of them) وَيَكُونُونَwayakūnūna
and they will be عَلَيْهِمْʿalayhim
against them ضِدًّاḍiddan
opponents ٨٢
Nay سَيَكْفُرُونَsayakfurūna
they will deny بِعِبَادَتِهِمْbiʿibādatihim
their worship (of them) وَيَكُونُونَwayakūnūna
and they will be عَلَيْهِمْʿalayhim
against them ضِدًّاḍiddan
opponents ٨٢
أَلَمْalam
Do not تَرَtara
you see أَنَّآannā
that We أَرْسَلْنَاarsalnā
[We] have sent ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينَl-shayāṭīna
the devils عَلَىʿalā
upon ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَl-kāfirīna
the disbelievers تَؤُزُّهُمْta-uzzuhum
inciting them أَزًّۭاazzan
(with) incitement ٨٣
Do not تَرَtara
you see أَنَّآannā
that We أَرْسَلْنَاarsalnā
[We] have sent ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينَl-shayāṭīna
the devils عَلَىʿalā
upon ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَl-kāfirīna
the disbelievers تَؤُزُّهُمْta-uzzuhum
inciting them أَزًّۭاazzan
(with) incitement ٨٣
فَلَاfalā
So (do) not تَعْجَلْtaʿjal
make haste عَلَيْهِمْ ۖʿalayhim
against them إِنَّمَاinnamā
Only نَعُدُّnaʿuddu
We count لَهُمْlahum
for them عَدًّۭاʿaddan
a number ٨٤
So (do) not تَعْجَلْtaʿjal
make haste عَلَيْهِمْ ۖʿalayhim
against them إِنَّمَاinnamā
Only نَعُدُّnaʿuddu
We count لَهُمْlahum
for them عَدًّۭاʿaddan
a number ٨٤
يَوْمَyawma
(The) Day نَحْشُرُnaḥshuru
We will gather ٱلْمُتَّقِينَl-mutaqīna
the righteous إِلَىilā
to ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِl-raḥmāni
the Most Gracious وَفْدًۭاwafdan
(as) a delegation ٨٥
(The) Day نَحْشُرُnaḥshuru
We will gather ٱلْمُتَّقِينَl-mutaqīna
the righteous إِلَىilā
to ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِl-raḥmāni
the Most Gracious وَفْدًۭاwafdan
(as) a delegation ٨٥
وَنَسُوقُwanasūqu
And We will drive ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَl-muj'rimīna
the criminals إِلَىٰilā
to جَهَنَّمَjahannama
Hell وِرْدًۭاwir'dan
thirsty ٨٦
And We will drive ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَl-muj'rimīna
the criminals إِلَىٰilā
to جَهَنَّمَjahannama
Hell وِرْدًۭاwir'dan
thirsty ٨٦
لَّاlā
Not يَمْلِكُونَyamlikūna
they will have the power ٱلشَّفَـٰعَةَl-shafāʿata
(of) the intercession إِلَّاillā
except مَنِmani
(he) who ٱتَّخَذَittakhadha
has taken عِندَʿinda
from ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِl-raḥmāni
the Most Gracious عَهْدًۭاʿahdan
a covenant ٨٧
Not يَمْلِكُونَyamlikūna
they will have the power ٱلشَّفَـٰعَةَl-shafāʿata
(of) the intercession إِلَّاillā
except مَنِmani
(he) who ٱتَّخَذَittakhadha
has taken عِندَʿinda
from ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِl-raḥmāni
the Most Gracious عَهْدًۭاʿahdan
a covenant ٨٧
وَقَالُوا۟waqālū
And they say ٱتَّخَذَittakhadha
Has taken ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُl-raḥmānu
the Most Gracious وَلَدًۭاwaladan
a son ٨٨
And they say ٱتَّخَذَittakhadha
Has taken ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُl-raḥmānu
the Most Gracious وَلَدًۭاwaladan
a son ٨٨
لَّقَدْlaqad
Verily جِئْتُمْji'tum
you have put forth شَيْـًٔاshayan
a thing إِدًّۭاiddan
atrocious ٨٩
Verily جِئْتُمْji'tum
you have put forth شَيْـًٔاshayan
a thing إِدًّۭاiddan
atrocious ٨٩
تَكَادُtakādu
Almost ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتُl-samāwātu
the heavens يَتَفَطَّرْنَyatafaṭṭarna
get torn مِنْهُmin'hu
therefrom وَتَنشَقُّwatanshaqqu
and splits asunder ٱلْأَرْضُl-arḍu
the earth وَتَخِرُّwatakhirru
and collapse ٱلْجِبَالُl-jibālu
the mountain هَدًّاhaddan
(in) devastation ٩٠
Almost ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتُl-samāwātu
the heavens يَتَفَطَّرْنَyatafaṭṭarna
get torn مِنْهُmin'hu
therefrom وَتَنشَقُّwatanshaqqu
and splits asunder ٱلْأَرْضُl-arḍu
the earth وَتَخِرُّwatakhirru
and collapse ٱلْجِبَالُl-jibālu
the mountain هَدًّاhaddan
(in) devastation ٩٠
أَنan
That دَعَوْا۟daʿaw
they invoke لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِlilrraḥmāni
to the Most Gracious وَلَدًۭاwaladan
a son ٩١
That دَعَوْا۟daʿaw

to the Most Gracious وَلَدًۭاwaladan
a son ٩١
وَمَاwamā
And not يَنۢبَغِىyanbaghī
is appropriate لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِlilrraḥmāni
for the Most Gracious أَنan
that يَتَّخِذَyattakhidha
He should take وَلَدًاwaladan
a son ٩٢
And not يَنۢبَغِىyanbaghī
is appropriate لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِlilrraḥmāni
for the Most Gracious أَنan
that يَتَّخِذَyattakhidha
He should take وَلَدًاwaladan
a son ٩٢
إِنin
Not كُلُّkullu
all مَنman
who فِىfī
(are) in ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwāti
the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِwal-arḍi
and the earth إِلَّآillā
but ءَاتِىātī
(will) come ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِl-raḥmāni
(to) the Most Gracious عَبْدًۭاʿabdan
(as) a slave ٩٣
Not كُلُّkullu
all مَنman
who فِىfī
(are) in ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwāti
the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِwal-arḍi
and the earth إِلَّآillā
but ءَاتِىātī
(will) come ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِl-raḥmāni
(to) the Most Gracious عَبْدًۭاʿabdan
(as) a slave ٩٣
لَّقَدْlaqad
Verily أَحْصَىٰهُمْaḥṣāhum
He has enumerated them وَعَدَّهُمْwaʿaddahum
and counted them عَدًّۭاʿaddan
a counting ٩٤
Verily أَحْصَىٰهُمْaḥṣāhum
He has enumerated them وَعَدَّهُمْwaʿaddahum
and counted them عَدًّۭاʿaddan
a counting ٩٤
وَكُلُّهُمْwakulluhum
And all of them ءَاتِيهِātīhi
(will) come (to) Him يَوْمَyawma
(on the) Day ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِl-qiyāmati
(of) the Resurrection فَرْدًاfardan
alone ٩٥
And all of them ءَاتِيهِātīhi
(will) come (to) Him يَوْمَyawma
(on the) Day ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِl-qiyāmati
(of) the Resurrection فَرْدًاfardan
alone ٩٥
إِنَّinna
Indeed ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
those who ءَامَنُوا۟āmanū
believed وَعَمِلُوا۟waʿamilū
and did ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِl-ṣāliḥāti
good deeds سَيَجْعَلُsayajʿalu
will bestow لَهُمُlahumu
for them ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُl-raḥmānu
the Most Gracious وُدًّۭاwuddan
affection ٩٦
Indeed ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna
those who ءَامَنُوا۟āmanū
believed وَعَمِلُوا۟waʿamilū
and did ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِl-ṣāliḥāti
good deeds سَيَجْعَلُsayajʿalu
will bestow لَهُمُlahumu
for them ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُl-raḥmānu
the Most Gracious وُدًّۭاwuddan
affection ٩٦
فَإِنَّمَاfa-innamā
So, only يَسَّرْنَـٰهُyassarnāhu
We (have) made it easy بِلِسَانِكَbilisānika
in your tongue لِتُبَشِّرَlitubashira
that you may give glad tidings بِهِbihi
with it ٱلْمُتَّقِينَl-mutaqīna
(to) the righteous وَتُنذِرَwatundhira
and warn بِهِۦbihi
with it قَوْمًۭاqawman
a people لُّدًّۭاluddan
hostile ٩٧
So, only يَسَّرْنَـٰهُyassarnāhu
We (have) made it easy بِلِسَانِكَbilisānika
in your tongue لِتُبَشِّرَlitubashira
that you may give glad tidings بِهِbihi
with it ٱلْمُتَّقِينَl-mutaqīna
(to) the righteous وَتُنذِرَwatundhira
and warn بِهِۦbihi
with it قَوْمًۭاqawman
a people لُّدًّۭاluddan
hostile ٩٧
وَكَمْwakam
And how many أَهْلَكْنَاahlaknā
We (have) destroyed قَبْلَهُمqablahum
before them مِّنmin
of قَرْنٍqarnin
a generation هَلْhal
Can تُحِسُّtuḥissu
you perceive مِنْهُمmin'hum
of them مِّنْmin
any أَحَدٍaḥadin
one أَوْaw
or تَسْمَعُtasmaʿu
hear لَهُمْlahum
from them رِكْزًۢاrik'zan
a sound ٩٨
And how many أَهْلَكْنَاahlaknā
We (have) destroyed قَبْلَهُمqablahum
before them مِّنmin
of قَرْنٍqarnin
a generation هَلْhal
Can تُحِسُّtuḥissu
you perceive مِنْهُمmin'hum
of them مِّنْmin
any أَحَدٍaḥadin
one أَوْaw
or تَسْمَعُtasmaʿu
hear لَهُمْlahum
from them رِكْزًۢاrik'zan
