بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
مَآmā
Not أَنزَلْنَاanzalnā
We (have) sent down عَلَيْكَʿalayka
to you ٱلْقُرْءَانَl-qur'āna
the Quran لِتَشْقَىٰٓlitashqā
that you be distressed ٢
Not أَنزَلْنَاanzalnā
We (have) sent down عَلَيْكَʿalayka
to you ٱلْقُرْءَانَl-qur'āna
the Quran لِتَشْقَىٰٓlitashqā
that you be distressed ٢
إِلَّاillā
(But) تَذْكِرَةًۭtadhkiratan
(as) a reminder لِّمَنliman
for (those) who يَخْشَىٰyakhshā
fear ٣
(But) تَذْكِرَةًۭtadhkiratan
(as) a reminder لِّمَنliman
for (those) who يَخْشَىٰyakhshā
fear ٣
تَنزِيلًۭاtanzīlan
A revelation مِّمَّنْmimman
from (He) Who خَلَقَkhalaqa
created ٱلْأَرْضَl-arḍa
the earth وَٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِwal-samāwāti
and the heavens ٱلْعُلَىl-ʿulā
[the] high ٤
A revelation مِّمَّنْmimman
from (He) Who خَلَقَkhalaqa
created ٱلْأَرْضَl-arḍa
the earth وَٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِwal-samāwāti
and the heavens ٱلْعُلَىl-ʿulā
[the] high ٤
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُal-raḥmānu
The Most Gracious عَلَىʿalā
over ٱلْعَرْشِl-ʿarshi
the Throne ٱسْتَوَىٰis'tawā
is established ٥
The Most Gracious عَلَىʿalā
over ٱلْعَرْشِl-ʿarshi
the Throne ٱسْتَوَىٰis'tawā
is established ٥
لَهُۥlahu
To Him (belongs) مَاmā
whatever فِىfī
(is) in ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwāti
the heavens وَمَاwamā
and whatever فِىfī
(is) in ٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍi
the earth وَمَاwamā
and whatever بَيْنَهُمَاbaynahumā
(is) between them وَمَاwamā
and whatever تَحْتَtaḥta
(is) under ٱلثَّرَىٰl-tharā
the soil ٦
To Him (belongs) مَاmā
whatever فِىfī
(is) in ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwāti
the heavens وَمَاwamā
and whatever فِىfī
(is) in ٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍi
the earth وَمَاwamā
and whatever بَيْنَهُمَاbaynahumā
(is) between them وَمَاwamā
and whatever تَحْتَtaḥta
(is) under ٱلثَّرَىٰl-tharā
the soil ٦
وَإِنwa-in
And if تَجْهَرْtajhar
you speak aloud بِٱلْقَوْلِbil-qawli
the word فَإِنَّهُۥfa-innahu
then indeed, He يَعْلَمُyaʿlamu
knows ٱلسِّرَّl-sira
the secret وَأَخْفَىwa-akhfā
and the more hidden ٧
And if تَجْهَرْtajhar
you speak aloud بِٱلْقَوْلِbil-qawli
the word فَإِنَّهُۥfa-innahu
then indeed, He يَعْلَمُyaʿlamu
knows ٱلسِّرَّl-sira

ٱللَّهُal-lahu
Allah لَآlā
(there is) no إِلَـٰهَilāha
god إِلَّاillā
except هُوَ ۖhuwa
Him لَهُlahu

the Names ٱلْحُسْنَىٰl-ḥus'nā
the Most Beautiful ٨
Allah لَآlā
(there is) no إِلَـٰهَilāha
god إِلَّاillā
except هُوَ ۖhuwa
Him لَهُlahu
To Him (belong) ٱلْأَسْمَآءُl-asmāu
the Names ٱلْحُسْنَىٰl-ḥus'nā
the Most Beautiful ٨
وَهَلْwahal
And has أَتَىٰكَatāka
come to you حَدِيثُḥadīthu
the narration مُوسَىٰٓmūsā
(of) Musa ٩
And has أَتَىٰكَatāka
come to you حَدِيثُḥadīthu
the narration مُوسَىٰٓmūsā
(of) Musa ٩
١٠طه ٢٠:١٠
إِذْidh
When رَءَاraā
he saw نَارًۭاnāran
a fire فَقَالَfaqāla
then he said لِأَهْلِهِli-ahlihi
to his family ٱمْكُثُوٓا۟um'kuthū
Stay here إِنِّىٓinnī
indeed, I ءَانَسْتُānastu
[I] perceived نَارًۭاnāran
a fire لَّعَلِّىٓlaʿallī
perhaps I (can) ءَاتِيكُمātīkum
bring you مِّنْهَاmin'hā
therefrom بِقَبَسٍbiqabasin
a burning brand أَوْaw
or أَجِدُajidu
I find عَلَىʿalā
at ٱلنَّارِl-nāri
the fire هُدًۭىhudan
guidance ١٠
When رَءَاraā
he saw نَارًۭاnāran
a fire فَقَالَfaqāla
then he said لِأَهْلِهِli-ahlihi
to his family ٱمْكُثُوٓا۟um'kuthū
Stay here إِنِّىٓinnī
indeed, I ءَانَسْتُānastu
[I] perceived نَارًۭاnāran
a fire لَّعَلِّىٓlaʿallī
perhaps I (can) ءَاتِيكُمātīkum
bring you مِّنْهَاmin'hā
therefrom بِقَبَسٍbiqabasin
a burning brand أَوْaw
or أَجِدُajidu
I find عَلَىʿalā
at ٱلنَّارِl-nāri
the fire هُدًۭىhudan
guidance ١٠
١١طه ٢٠:١١
فَلَمَّآfalammā
Then when أَتَىٰهَاatāhā
he came to it نُودِىَnūdiya
he was called يَـٰمُوسَىٰٓyāmūsā
O Musa ١١
Then when أَتَىٰهَاatāhā
he came to it نُودِىَnūdiya
he was called يَـٰمُوسَىٰٓyāmūsā
O Musa ١١
١٢طه ٢٠:١٢
إِنِّىٓinnī
Indeed, [I] أَنَا۠anā
I Am رَبُّكَrabbuka
your Lord فَٱخْلَعْfa-ikh'laʿ
so remove نَعْلَيْكَ ۖnaʿlayka
your shoes إِنَّكَinnaka
Indeed, you بِٱلْوَادِbil-wādi
(are) in the valley ٱلْمُقَدَّسِl-muqadasi
the sacred طُوًۭىṭuwan
(of) Tuwa ١٢
Indeed, [I] أَنَا۠anā
I Am رَبُّكَrabbuka
your Lord فَٱخْلَعْfa-ikh'laʿ
so remove نَعْلَيْكَ ۖnaʿlayka
your shoes إِنَّكَinnaka
Indeed, you بِٱلْوَادِbil-wādi
(are) in the valley ٱلْمُقَدَّسِl-muqadasi
the sacred طُوًۭىṭuwan
(of) Tuwa ١٢
١٣طه ٢٠:١٣
وَأَنَاwa-anā
And I ٱخْتَرْتُكَikh'tartuka
(have) chosen you فَٱسْتَمِعْfa-is'tamiʿ
so listen لِمَاlimā
to what يُوحَىٰٓyūḥā
is revealed ١٣
And I ٱخْتَرْتُكَikh'tartuka
(have) chosen you فَٱسْتَمِعْfa-is'tamiʿ
so listen لِمَاlimā
to what يُوحَىٰٓyūḥā
is revealed ١٣
١٤طه ٢٠:١٤
إِنَّنِىٓinnanī
Indeed, [I] أَنَاanā
I Am ٱللَّهُl-lahu
Allah لَآlā
(There is) no إِلَـٰهَilāha
god إِلَّآillā
but أَنَا۠anā
I فَٱعْبُدْنِىfa-uʿ'bud'nī
so worship Me وَأَقِمِwa-aqimi
and establish ٱلصَّلَوٰةَl-ṣalata
the prayer لِذِكْرِىٓlidhik'rī
for My remembrance ١٤
Indeed, [I] أَنَاanā
I Am ٱللَّهُl-lahu
Allah لَآlā
(There is) no إِلَـٰهَilāha
god إِلَّآillā
but أَنَا۠anā
I فَٱعْبُدْنِىfa-uʿ'bud'nī
so worship Me وَأَقِمِwa-aqimi
and establish ٱلصَّلَوٰةَl-ṣalata
the prayer لِذِكْرِىٓlidhik'rī
for My remembrance ١٤
١٥طه ٢٠:١٥
إِنَّinna
Indeed ٱلسَّاعَةَl-sāʿata
the Hour ءَاتِيَةٌātiyatun
(will be) coming أَكَادُakādu
I almost أُخْفِيهَاukh'fīhā
[I] hide it لِتُجْزَىٰlituj'zā
that may be recompensed كُلُّkullu
every نَفْسٍۭnafsin
soul بِمَاbimā
for what تَسْعَىٰtasʿā
it strives ١٥
Indeed ٱلسَّاعَةَl-sāʿata
the Hour ءَاتِيَةٌātiyatun
(will be) coming أَكَادُakādu
I almost أُخْفِيهَاukh'fīhā
[I] hide it لِتُجْزَىٰlituj'zā
that may be recompensed كُلُّkullu
every نَفْسٍۭnafsin
soul بِمَاbimā
for what تَسْعَىٰtasʿā

فَلَاfalā
So (do) not يَصُدَّنَّكَyaṣuddannaka
(let) avert you عَنْهَاʿanhā
from it مَنman
(one) who لَّاlā
(does) not يُؤْمِنُyu'minu
believe بِهَاbihā
in it وَٱتَّبَعَwa-ittabaʿa
and follows هَوَىٰهُhawāhu
his desires فَتَرْدَىٰfatardā
lest you perish ١٦
So (do) not يَصُدَّنَّكَyaṣuddannaka
(let) avert you عَنْهَاʿanhā
from it مَنman

وَمَاwamā
And what تِلْكَtil'ka
(is) that بِيَمِينِكَbiyamīnika
in your right hand يَـٰمُوسَىٰyāmūsā
O Musa ١٧
And what تِلْكَtil'ka
(is) that بِيَمِينِكَbiyamīnika
in your right hand يَـٰمُوسَىٰyāmūsā
O Musa ١٧
١٨طه ٢٠:١٨
قَالَqāla
He said هِىَhiya
It عَصَاىَʿaṣāya
(is) my staff أَتَوَكَّؤُا۟atawakka-u
I lean عَلَيْهَاʿalayhā
upon it وَأَهُشُّwa-ahushu
and I bring down leaves بِهَاbihā
with it عَلَىٰʿalā
for غَنَمِىghanamī
my sheep وَلِىَwaliya
and for me فِيهَاfīhā
in it مَـَٔارِبُmaāribu
(are) uses أُخْرَىٰukh'rā
other ١٨
He said هِىَhiya
It عَصَاىَʿaṣāya
(is) my staff أَتَوَكَّؤُا۟atawakka-u
I lean عَلَيْهَاʿalayhā

Throw it down يَـٰمُوسَىٰyāmūsā
O Musa ١٩
He said أَلْقِهَاalqihā
Throw it down يَـٰمُوسَىٰyāmūsā
O Musa ١٩
٢٠طه ٢٠:٢٠
فَأَلْقَىٰهَاfa-alqāhā
So he threw it down فَإِذَاfa-idhā
and behold هِىَhiya
It حَيَّةٌۭḥayyatun
(was) a snake تَسْعَىٰtasʿā
moving swiftly ٢٠
So he threw it down فَإِذَاfa-idhā
and behold هِىَhiya
It حَيَّةٌۭḥayyatun
(was) a snake تَسْعَىٰtasʿā
moving swiftly ٢٠
٢١طه ٢٠:٢١
قَالَqāla
He said خُذْهَاkhudh'hā
Seize it وَلَاwalā
and (do) not تَخَفْ ۖtakhaf
fear سَنُعِيدُهَاsanuʿīduhā
We will return it سِيرَتَهَاsīratahā
(to) its state ٱلْأُولَىٰl-ūlā
the former ٢١
He said خُذْهَاkhudh'hā
Seize it وَلَاwalā
and (do) not تَخَفْ ۖtakhaf
fear سَنُعِيدُهَاsanuʿīduhā
We will return it سِيرَتَهَاsīratahā
(to) its state ٱلْأُولَىٰl-ūlā
the former ٢١
٢٢طه ٢٠:٢٢
وَٱضْمُمْwa-uḍ'mum
And draw near يَدَكَyadaka
your hand إِلَىٰilā
to جَنَاحِكَjanāḥika
your side تَخْرُجْtakhruj
it will come out بَيْضَآءَbayḍāa
white مِنْmin
without any غَيْرِghayri
without any سُوٓءٍsūin
disease ءَايَةًāyatan
(as) a sign أُخْرَىٰukh'rā
another ٢٢
And draw near يَدَكَyadaka
your hand إِلَىٰilā
to جَنَاحِكَjanāḥika
your side تَخْرُجْtakhruj
it will come out بَيْضَآءَbayḍāa
white مِنْmin
without any غَيْرِghayri
without any سُوٓءٍsūin
disease ءَايَةًāyatan
(as) a sign أُخْرَىٰukh'rā
another ٢٢
٢٣طه ٢٠:٢٣
لِنُرِيَكَlinuriyaka
That We may show you مِنْmin
of ءَايَـٰتِنَاāyātinā
Our Signs ٱلْكُبْرَىl-kub'rā
the Greatest ٢٣
That We may show you مِنْmin
of ءَايَـٰتِنَاāyātinā
Our Signs ٱلْكُبْرَىl-kub'rā
the Greatest ٢٣
٢٤طه ٢٠:٢٤
ٱذْهَبْidh'hab
Go إِلَىٰilā
to فِرْعَوْنَfir'ʿawna
Firaun إِنَّهُۥinnahu
Indeed, he طَغَىٰṭaghā
(has) transgressed ٢٤
Go إِلَىٰilā
to فِرْعَوْنَfir'ʿawna
Firaun إِنَّهُۥinnahu
Indeed, he طَغَىٰṭaghā
(has) transgressed ٢٤
٢٥طه ٢٠:٢٥
قَالَqāla
He said رَبِّrabbi
My Lord ٱشْرَحْish'raḥ
Expand لِىlī
for me صَدْرِىṣadrī
my breast ٢٥
He said رَبِّrabbi
My Lord ٱشْرَحْish'raḥ
Expand لِىlī
for me صَدْرِىṣadrī
my breast ٢٥
٢٦طه ٢٠:٢٦
وَيَسِّرْwayassir
And ease لِىٓlī
for me أَمْرِىamrī
my task ٢٦
And ease لِىٓlī
for me أَمْرِىamrī
my task ٢٦
٢٧طه ٢٠:٢٧
وَٱحْلُلْwa-uḥ'lul
And untie عُقْدَةًۭʿuq'datan
(the) knot مِّنmin
from لِّسَانِىlisānī
my tongue ٢٧
And untie عُقْدَةًۭʿuq'datan
(the) knot مِّنmin
from لِّسَانِىlisānī
my tongue ٢٧
٢٨طه ٢٠:٢٨
يَفْقَهُوا۟yafqahū
That they may understand قَوْلِىqawlī
my speech ٢٨
That they may understand قَوْلِىqawlī
my speech ٢٨
٢٩طه ٢٠:٢٩
وَٱجْعَلwa-ij'ʿal
And appoint لِّىlī
for me وَزِيرًۭاwazīran
a minister مِّنْmin
from أَهْلِىahlī
my family ٢٩
And appoint لِّىlī
for me وَزِيرًۭاwazīran
a minister مِّنْmin
from أَهْلِىahlī
my family ٢٩
٣٠طه ٢٠:٣٠
هَـٰرُونَhārūna
Harun أَخِىakhī
my brother ٣٠
Harun أَخِىakhī
my brother ٣٠
٣١طه ٢٠:٣١
ٱشْدُدْush'dud
Reinforce بِهِۦٓbihi
through him أَزْرِىazrī
my strength ٣١
Reinforce بِهِۦٓbihi

٣٢طه ٢٠:٣٢
وَأَشْرِكْهُwa-ashrik'hu
And make him share فِىٓfī
[in] أَمْرِىamrī
my task ٣٢

٣٣طه ٢٠:٣٣
كَىْkay
That نُسَبِّحَكَnusabbiḥaka
we may glorify You كَثِيرًۭاkathīran
much ٣٣

much ٣٣
٣٤طه ٢٠:٣٤
وَنَذْكُرَكَwanadhkuraka
And [we] remember You كَثِيرًاkathīran
much ٣٤

much ٣٤
٣٥طه ٢٠:٣٥
إِنَّكَinnaka
Indeed, [You] كُنتَkunta
You are بِنَاbinā
of us بَصِيرًۭاbaṣīran
All-Seer ٣٥
Indeed, [You] كُنتَkunta
You are بِنَاbinā
of us بَصِيرًۭاbaṣīran
All-Seer ٣٥
٣٦طه ٢٠:٣٦
قَالَqāla
He said قَدْqad
Verily أُوتِيتَūtīta
you are granted سُؤْلَكَsu'laka
your request يَـٰمُوسَىٰyāmūsā
O Musa ٣٦
He said قَدْqad
Verily أُوتِيتَūtīta
you are granted سُؤْلَكَsu'laka
your request يَـٰمُوسَىٰyāmūsā
O Musa ٣٦
٣٧طه ٢٠:٣٧
وَلَقَدْwalaqad
And indeed مَنَنَّاmanannā
We conferred a favor عَلَيْكَʿalayka
on you مَرَّةًmarratan
another time أُخْرَىٰٓukh'rā
another time ٣٧
And indeed مَنَنَّاmanannā
We conferred a favor عَلَيْكَʿalayka
on you مَرَّةًmarratan
another time أُخْرَىٰٓukh'rā
another time ٣٧
٣٨طه ٢٠:٣٨
إِذْidh
When أَوْحَيْنَآawḥaynā
We inspired إِلَىٰٓilā
to أُمِّكَummika
your mother مَاmā
what يُوحَىٰٓyūḥā
is inspired ٣٨
When أَوْحَيْنَآawḥaynā
We inspired إِلَىٰٓilā
to أُمِّكَummika
your mother مَاmā
what يُوحَىٰٓyūḥā
is inspired ٣٨
٣٩طه ٢٠:٣٩
أَنِani
That ٱقْذِفِيهِiq'dhifīhi
cast him فِىfī
in ٱلتَّابُوتِl-tābūti
the chest فَٱقْذِفِيهِfa-iq'dhifīhi
then cast it فِىfī
in ٱلْيَمِّl-yami
the river فَلْيُلْقِهِfalyul'qihi
then let cast it ٱلْيَمُّl-yamu
the river بِٱلسَّاحِلِbil-sāḥili
on the bank يَأْخُذْهُyakhudh'hu
will take him عَدُوٌّۭʿaduwwun
an enemy لِّىlī
to Me وَعَدُوٌّۭwaʿaduwwun
and an enemy لَّهُۥ ۚlahu
to him وَأَلْقَيْتُwa-alqaytu
And I cast عَلَيْكَʿalayka
over you مَحَبَّةًۭmaḥabbatan
love مِّنِّىminnī
from Me وَلِتُصْنَعَwalituṣ'naʿa
and that you may be brought up عَلَىٰʿalā
under عَيْنِىٓʿaynī
My eye ٣٩
That ٱقْذِفِيهِiq'dhifīhi
cast him فِىfī
in ٱلتَّابُوتِl-tābūti
the chest فَٱقْذِفِيهِfa-iq'dhifīhi
then cast it فِىfī
in ٱلْيَمِّl-yami
the river فَلْيُلْقِهِfalyul'qihi
then let cast it ٱلْيَمُّl-yamu
the river بِٱلسَّاحِلِbil-sāḥili
on the bank يَأْخُذْهُyakhudh'hu
will take him عَدُوٌّۭʿaduwwun
an enemy لِّىlī
to Me وَعَدُوٌّۭwaʿaduwwun
and an enemy لَّهُۥ ۚlahu
to him وَأَلْقَيْتُwa-alqaytu
And I cast عَلَيْكَʿalayka
over you مَحَبَّةًۭmaḥabbatan
love مِّنِّىminnī
from Me وَلِتُصْنَعَwalituṣ'naʿa
and that you may be brought up عَلَىٰʿalā
under عَيْنِىٓʿaynī
My eye ٣٩
٤٠طه ٢٠:٤٠
إِذْidh
When تَمْشِىٓtamshī
was going أُخْتُكَukh'tuka
your sister فَتَقُولُfataqūlu
and she said هَلْhal
Shall أَدُلُّكُمْadullukum
I show you عَلَىٰʿalā
[to] مَنman
(one) who يَكْفُلُهُۥ ۖyakfuluhu
will nurse and rear him فَرَجَعْنَـٰكَfarajaʿnāka
So We returned you إِلَىٰٓilā
to أُمِّكَummika
your mother كَىْkay
that تَقَرَّtaqarra
may be cooled عَيْنُهَاʿaynuhā
her eyes وَلَاwalā
and not تَحْزَنَ ۚtaḥzana
she grieves وَقَتَلْتَwaqatalta
And you killed نَفْسًۭاnafsan
a man فَنَجَّيْنَـٰكَfanajjaynāka
but We saved you مِنَmina
from ٱلْغَمِّl-ghami
the distress وَفَتَنَّـٰكَwafatannāka
and We tried you فُتُونًۭا ۚfutūnan
(with) a trial فَلَبِثْتَfalabith'ta
Then you remained سِنِينَsinīna
(some) years فِىٓfī
with أَهْلِahli
(the) people مَدْيَنَmadyana
(of) Madyan ثُمَّthumma
Then جِئْتَji'ta
you came عَلَىٰʿalā
at قَدَرٍۢqadarin
the decreed (time) يَـٰمُوسَىٰyāmūsā
O Musa ٤٠
When تَمْشِىٓtamshī
was going أُخْتُكَukh'tuka
your sister فَتَقُولُfataqūlu
and she said هَلْhal
Shall أَدُلُّكُمْadullukum
I show you عَلَىٰʿalā
[to] مَنman
(one) who يَكْفُلُهُۥ ۖyakfuluhu
will nurse and rear him فَرَجَعْنَـٰكَfarajaʿnāka
So We returned you إِلَىٰٓilā
to أُمِّكَummika
your mother كَىْkay
that تَقَرَّtaqarra
may be cooled عَيْنُهَاʿaynuhā
her eyes وَلَاwalā
and not تَحْزَنَ ۚtaḥzana
she grieves وَقَتَلْتَwaqatalta
And you killed نَفْسًۭاnafsan
a man فَنَجَّيْنَـٰكَfanajjaynāka
but We saved you مِنَmina
from ٱلْغَمِّl-ghami
the distress وَفَتَنَّـٰكَwafatannāka
and We tried you فُتُونًۭا ۚfutūnan
(with) a trial فَلَبِثْتَfalabith'ta
Then you remained سِنِينَsinīna
(some) years فِىٓfī
with أَهْلِahli
(the) people مَدْيَنَmadyana
(of) Madyan ثُمَّthumma
Then جِئْتَji'ta
you came عَلَىٰʿalā
at قَدَرٍۢqadarin
the decreed (time) يَـٰمُوسَىٰyāmūsā
O Musa ٤٠
٤١طه ٢٠:٤١
وَٱصْطَنَعْتُكَwa-iṣ'ṭanaʿtuka
And I (have) chosen you لِنَفْسِىlinafsī
for Myself ٤١
And I (have) chosen you لِنَفْسِىlinafsī
for Myself ٤١
٤٢طه ٢٠:٤٢
ٱذْهَبْidh'hab
Go أَنتَanta
you وَأَخُوكَwa-akhūka
and your brother بِـَٔايَـٰتِىbiāyātī
with My Signs وَلَاwalā
and (do) not تَنِيَاtaniyā
slacken فِىfī
in ذِكْرِىdhik'rī
My remembrance ٤٢
Go أَنتَanta
you وَأَخُوكَwa-akhūka
and your brother بِـَٔايَـٰتِىbiāyātī
with My Signs وَلَاwalā
and (do) not تَنِيَاtaniyā
slacken فِىfī
in ذِكْرِىdhik'rī
My remembrance ٤٢
٤٣طه ٢٠:٤٣
ٱذْهَبَآidh'habā
Go, both of you إِلَىٰilā
to فِرْعَوْنَfir'ʿawna
Firaun إِنَّهُۥinnahu
Indeed, he طَغَىٰṭaghā
(has) transgressed ٤٣
Go, both of you إِلَىٰilā
to فِرْعَوْنَfir'ʿawna
Firaun إِنَّهُۥinnahu
Indeed, he طَغَىٰṭaghā
(has) transgressed ٤٣
٤٤طه ٢٠:٤٤
فَقُولَاfaqūlā
And speak لَهُۥlahu
to him قَوْلًۭاqawlan
a word لَّيِّنًۭاlayyinan
gentle لَّعَلَّهُۥlaʿallahu
perhaps he يَتَذَكَّرُyatadhakkaru
may take heed أَوْaw
or يَخْشَىٰyakhshā
fear ٤٤
And speak لَهُۥlahu
to him قَوْلًۭاqawlan
a word لَّيِّنًۭاlayyinan
gentle لَّعَلَّهُۥlaʿallahu
perhaps he يَتَذَكَّرُyatadhakkaru
may take heed أَوْaw
or يَخْشَىٰyakhshā
fear ٤٤
٤٥طه ٢٠:٤٥
قَالَاqālā
They said رَبَّنَآrabbanā
Our Lord إِنَّنَاinnanā
Indeed, we نَخَافُnakhāfu
fear أَنan
that يَفْرُطَyafruṭa
he will hasten عَلَيْنَآʿalaynā
against us أَوْaw
or أَنan
that يَطْغَىٰyaṭghā
he will transgress ٤٥
They said رَبَّنَآrabbanā
Our Lord إِنَّنَاinnanā

Indeed, I Am مَعَكُمَآmaʿakumā
with you both أَسْمَعُasmaʿu
I hear وَأَرَىٰwa-arā
and I see ٤٦
He said لَاlā
(Do) not تَخَافَآ ۖtakhāfā
fear إِنَّنِىinnanī
Indeed, I Am مَعَكُمَآmaʿakumā
with you both أَسْمَعُasmaʿu
I hear وَأَرَىٰwa-arā
and I see ٤٦
٤٧طه ٢٠:٤٧
فَأْتِيَاهُfatiyāhu
So go to him فَقُولَآfaqūlā
and say إِنَّاinnā
Indeed, we رَسُولَاrasūlā
both (are) Messengers رَبِّكَrabbika
(of) your Lord فَأَرْسِلْfa-arsil
so send مَعَنَاmaʿanā
with us بَنِىٓbanī
(the) Children of Israel إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَis'rāīla
(the) Children of Israel وَلَاwalā
and (do) not تُعَذِّبْهُمْ ۖtuʿadhib'hum
torment them قَدْqad
Verily جِئْنَـٰكَji'nāka
we came to you بِـَٔايَةٍۢbiāyatin
with a Sign مِّنmin
from رَّبِّكَ ۖrabbika
your Lord وَٱلسَّلَـٰمُwal-salāmu
And peace عَلَىٰʿalā
on مَنِmani
(one) who ٱتَّبَعَittabaʿa
follows ٱلْهُدَىٰٓl-hudā
the Guidance ٤٧
So go to him فَقُولَآfaqūlā
and say إِنَّاinnā
Indeed, we رَسُولَاrasūlā
both (are) Messengers رَبِّكَrabbika
(of) your Lord فَأَرْسِلْfa-arsil
so send مَعَنَاmaʿanā
with us بَنِىٓbanī
(the) Children of Israel إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَis'rāīla
(the) Children of Israel وَلَاwalā
and (do) not تُعَذِّبْهُمْ ۖtuʿadhib'hum
torment them قَدْqad
Verily جِئْنَـٰكَji'nāka
we came to you بِـَٔايَةٍۢbiāyatin
with a Sign مِّنmin
from رَّبِّكَ ۖrabbika
your Lord وَٱلسَّلَـٰمُwal-salāmu

verily أُوحِىَūḥiya
it has been revealed إِلَيْنَآilaynā
to us أَنَّanna

٥٠طه ٢٠:٥٠
قَالَqāla
He said رَبُّنَاrabbunā
Our Lord ٱلَّذِىٓalladhī
(is) the One Who أَعْطَىٰaʿṭā
gave كُلَّkulla
(to) every شَىْءٍshayin
thing خَلْقَهُۥkhalqahu
its form ثُمَّthumma
then هَدَىٰhadā
He guided (it) ٥٠
He said رَبُّنَاrabbunā
Our Lord ٱلَّذِىٓalladhī
(is) the One Who أَعْطَىٰaʿṭā
gave كُلَّkulla
(to) every شَىْءٍshayin
thing خَلْقَهُۥkhalqahu
its form ثُمَّthumma
then هَدَىٰhadā
He guided (it) ٥٠
٥١طه ٢٠:٥١
قَالَqāla
He said فَمَاfamā
Then what بَالُbālu
(is the) case ٱلْقُرُونِl-qurūni
(of) the generations ٱلْأُولَىٰl-ūlā
(of) the former ٥١
He said فَمَاfamā
Then what بَالُbālu
(is the) case ٱلْقُرُونِl-qurūni
(of) the generations ٱلْأُولَىٰl-ūlā
(of) the former ٥١
٥٢طه ٢٠:٥٢
قَالَqāla
He said عِلْمُهَاʿil'muhā
Its knowledge عِندَʿinda
(is) with رَبِّىrabbī
my Lord فِىfī
in كِتَـٰبٍۢ ۖkitābin
a Record لَّاlā
Not يَضِلُّyaḍillu
errs رَبِّىrabbī
my Lord وَلَاwalā
and not يَنسَىyansā
forgets ٥٢
He said عِلْمُهَاʿil'muhā
Its knowledge عِندَʿinda
(is) with رَبِّىrabbī
my Lord فِىfī
in كِتَـٰبٍۢ ۖkitābin
a Record لَّاlā
Not يَضِلُّyaḍillu
errs رَبِّىrabbī
my Lord وَلَاwalā
and not يَنسَىyansā
forgets ٥٢
٥٣طه ٢٠:٥٣
ٱلَّذِىalladhī
The One Who جَعَلَjaʿala
made لَكُمُlakumu
for you ٱلْأَرْضَl-arḍa
the earth مَهْدًۭاmahdan
(as) a bed وَسَلَكَwasalaka
and inserted لَكُمْlakum
for you فِيهَاfīhā
therein سُبُلًۭاsubulan
ways وَأَنزَلَwa-anzala
and sent down مِنَmina
from ٱلسَّمَآءِl-samāi
the sky مَآءًۭmāan
water فَأَخْرَجْنَاfa-akhrajnā
then We (have) brought forth بِهِۦٓbihi
with it أَزْوَٰجًۭاazwājan
pairs مِّنmin
of نَّبَاتٍۢnabātin
plants شَتَّىٰshattā
diverse ٥٣
The One Who جَعَلَjaʿala
made لَكُمُlakumu
for you ٱلْأَرْضَl-arḍa
the earth مَهْدًۭاmahdan
(as) a bed وَسَلَكَwasalaka
and inserted لَكُمْlakum
for you فِيهَاfīhā
therein سُبُلًۭاsubulan
ways وَأَنزَلَwa-anzala
and sent down مِنَmina
from ٱلسَّمَآءِl-samāi
the sky مَآءًۭmāan
water فَأَخْرَجْنَاfa-akhrajnā
then We (have) brought forth بِهِۦٓbihi
with it أَزْوَٰجًۭاazwājan
pairs مِّنmin
of نَّبَاتٍۢnabātin
plants شَتَّىٰshattā
diverse ٥٣
٥٤طه ٢٠:٥٤
كُلُوا۟kulū
Eat وَٱرْعَوْا۟wa-ir'ʿaw
and pasture أَنْعَـٰمَكُمْ ۗanʿāmakum
your cattle إِنَّinna
Indeed فِىfī
in ذَٰلِكَdhālika
that لَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢlaāyātin
surely (are) Signs لِّأُو۟لِىli-ulī
for possessors ٱلنُّهَىٰl-nuhā
(of) intelligence ٥٤
Eat وَٱرْعَوْا۟wa-ir'ʿaw
and pasture أَنْعَـٰمَكُمْ ۗanʿāmakum

We will return you وَمِنْهَاwamin'hā
and from it نُخْرِجُكُمْnukh'rijukum
We will bring you out تَارَةًtāratan
time أُخْرَىٰukh'rā
another ٥٥
From it خَلَقْنَـٰكُمْkhalaqnākum
We created you وَفِيهَاwafīhā
and in it نُعِيدُكُمْnuʿīdukum
We will return you وَمِنْهَاwamin'hā
and from it نُخْرِجُكُمْnukh'rijukum
We will bring you out تَارَةًtāratan
time أُخْرَىٰukh'rā
another ٥٥
٥٦طه ٢٠:٥٦
وَلَقَدْwalaqad
And verily أَرَيْنَـٰهُaraynāhu
We showed him ءَايَـٰتِنَاāyātinā
Our Signs كُلَّهَاkullahā
all of them فَكَذَّبَfakadhaba
but he denied وَأَبَىٰwa-abā
and refused ٥٦
And verily أَرَيْنَـٰهُaraynāhu
We showed him ءَايَـٰتِنَاāyātinā
Our Signs كُلَّهَاkullahā
all of them فَكَذَّبَfakadhaba
but he denied وَأَبَىٰwa-abā
and refused ٥٦
٥٧طه ٢٠:٥٧
قَالَqāla
He said أَجِئْتَنَاaji'tanā
Have you come to us لِتُخْرِجَنَاlitukh'rijanā
to drive us out مِنْmin
of أَرْضِنَاarḍinā
our land بِسِحْرِكَbisiḥ'rika
with your magic يَـٰمُوسَىٰyāmūsā
O Musa ٥٧
He said أَجِئْتَنَاaji'tanā
Have you come to us لِتُخْرِجَنَاlitukh'rijanā
to drive us out مِنْmin
of أَرْضِنَاarḍinā
our land بِسِحْرِكَbisiḥ'rika
with your magic يَـٰمُوسَىٰyāmūsā
O Musa ٥٧
٥٨طه ٢٠:٥٨
فَلَنَأْتِيَنَّكَfalanatiyannaka
Then we will surely produce for you بِسِحْرٍۢbisiḥ'rin
magic مِّثْلِهِۦmith'lihi
like it فَٱجْعَلْfa-ij'ʿal
So make بَيْنَنَاbaynanā
between us وَبَيْنَكَwabaynaka
and between you مَوْعِدًۭاmawʿidan
an appointment لَّاlā
not نُخْلِفُهُۥnukh'lifuhu
we will fail it نَحْنُnaḥnu
[we] وَلَآwalā
and not أَنتَanta
you مَكَانًۭاmakānan
(in) a place سُوًۭىsuwan
even ٥٨
Then we will surely produce for you بِسِحْرٍۢbisiḥ'rin
magic مِّثْلِهِۦmith'lihi
like it فَٱجْعَلْfa-ij'ʿal
So make بَيْنَنَاbaynanā
between us وَبَيْنَكَwabaynaka
and between you مَوْعِدًۭاmawʿidan
an appointment لَّاlā
not نُخْلِفُهُۥnukh'lifuhu
we will fail it نَحْنُnaḥnu
[we] وَلَآwalā
and not أَنتَanta
you مَكَانًۭاmakānan
(in) a place سُوًۭىsuwan
even ٥٨
٥٩طه ٢٠:٥٩
قَالَqāla
He said مَوْعِدُكُمْmawʿidukum
Your appointment يَوْمُyawmu
(is on the) day ٱلزِّينَةِl-zīnati
(of) the festival وَأَنwa-an
and that يُحْشَرَyuḥ'shara
will be assembled ٱلنَّاسُl-nāsu
the people ضُحًۭىḍuḥan
(at) forenoon ٥٩
He said مَوْعِدُكُمْmawʿidukum
Your appointment يَوْمُyawmu
(is on the) day ٱلزِّينَةِl-zīnati
(of) the festival وَأَنwa-an
and that يُحْشَرَyuḥ'shara
will be assembled ٱلنَّاسُl-nāsu
the people ضُحًۭىḍuḥan
(at) forenoon ٥٩

فَتَوَلَّىٰfatawallā
Then went away فِرْعَوْنُfir'ʿawnu
Firaun فَجَمَعَfajamaʿa
and put together كَيْدَهُۥkaydahu
his plan ثُمَّthumma
then أَتَىٰatā
came ٦٠
Then went away فِرْعَوْنُfir'ʿawnu
Firaun فَجَمَعَfajamaʿa
and put together كَيْدَهُۥkaydahu
his plan ثُمَّthumma
then أَتَىٰatā
came ٦٠
٦١طه ٢٠:٦١
قَالَqāla
Said لَهُمlahum
to them مُّوسَىٰmūsā
Musa وَيْلَكُمْwaylakum
Woe to you لَاlā
(Do) not تَفْتَرُوا۟taftarū
invent عَلَىʿalā
against ٱللَّهِl-lahi
Allah كَذِبًۭاkadhiban
a lie فَيُسْحِتَكُمfayus'ḥitakum
lest He will destroy you بِعَذَابٍۢ ۖbiʿadhābin
with a punishment وَقَدْwaqad
And verily خَابَkhāba
he failed مَنِmani
who ٱفْتَرَىٰif'tarā
invented ٦١
Said لَهُمlahum
to them مُّوسَىٰmūsā
Musa وَيْلَكُمْwaylakum
Woe to you لَاlā
(Do) not تَفْتَرُوا۟taftarū
invent عَلَىʿalā
against ٱللَّهِl-lahi
Allah كَذِبًۭاkadhiban
a lie فَيُسْحِتَكُمfayus'ḥitakum
lest He will destroy you بِعَذَابٍۢ ۖbiʿadhābin
with a punishment وَقَدْwaqad
And verily خَابَkhāba
he failed مَنِmani
who ٱفْتَرَىٰif'tarā
invented ٦١
٦٢طه ٢٠:٦٢
فَتَنَـٰزَعُوٓا۟fatanāzaʿū
Then they disputed أَمْرَهُمamrahum
(in) their affair بَيْنَهُمْbaynahum
among them وَأَسَرُّوا۟wa-asarrū
and they kept secret ٱلنَّجْوَىٰl-najwā
the private conversation ٦٢
Then they disputed أَمْرَهُمamrahum
(in) their affair بَيْنَهُمْbaynahum
among them وَأَسَرُّوا۟wa-asarrū
and they kept secret ٱلنَّجْوَىٰl-najwā
the private conversation ٦٢
٦٣طه ٢٠:٦٣
قَالُوٓا۟qālū
They said إِنْin
Indeed هَـٰذَٰنِhādhāni
these two لَسَـٰحِرَٰنِlasāḥirāni
[two] magicians يُرِيدَانِyurīdāni
they intend أَنan
that يُخْرِجَاكُمyukh'rijākum
they drive you out مِّنْmin
of أَرْضِكُمarḍikum
your land بِسِحْرِهِمَاbisiḥ'rihimā
with their magic وَيَذْهَبَاwayadhhabā
and do away بِطَرِيقَتِكُمُbiṭarīqatikumu
with your way ٱلْمُثْلَىٰl-muth'lā
the exemplary ٦٣
They said إِنْin
Indeed هَـٰذَٰنِhādhāni
these two لَسَـٰحِرَٰنِlasāḥirāni
[two] magicians يُرِيدَانِyurīdāni
they intend أَنan
that يُخْرِجَاكُمyukh'rijākum
they drive you out مِّنْmin
of أَرْضِكُمarḍikum
your land بِسِحْرِهِمَاbisiḥ'rihimā
with their magic وَيَذْهَبَاwayadhhabā
and do away بِطَرِيقَتِكُمُbiṭarīqatikumu
with your way ٱلْمُثْلَىٰl-muth'lā
the exemplary ٦٣
٦٤طه ٢٠:٦٤
فَأَجْمِعُوا۟fa-ajmiʿū
So put together كَيْدَكُمْkaydakum
your plan ثُمَّthumma
then ٱئْتُوا۟i'tū
come صَفًّۭا ۚṣaffan
(in) a line وَقَدْwaqad
And verily أَفْلَحَaflaḥa
(will be) successful ٱلْيَوْمَl-yawma
today مَنِmani
who ٱسْتَعْلَىٰis'taʿlā
overcomes ٦٤
So put together كَيْدَكُمْkaydakum
your plan ثُمَّthumma
then ٱئْتُوا۟i'tū
come صَفًّۭا ۚṣaffan
(in) a line وَقَدْwaqad
And verily أَفْلَحَaflaḥa
(will be) successful ٱلْيَوْمَl-yawma
today مَنِmani
who ٱسْتَعْلَىٰis'taʿlā
overcomes ٦٤
٦٥طه ٢٠:٦٥
قَالُوا۟qālū
They said يَـٰمُوسَىٰٓyāmūsā
O Musa إِمَّآimmā
Either أَنan
[that] تُلْقِىَtul'qiya
you throw وَإِمَّآwa-immā
or أَنan
[that] نَّكُونَnakūna
we will be أَوَّلَawwala
the first مَنْman
who أَلْقَىٰalqā
throws ٦٥
They said يَـٰمُوسَىٰٓyāmūsā
O Musa إِمَّآimmā
Either أَنan
[that] تُلْقِىَtul'qiya
you throw وَإِمَّآwa-immā
or أَنan
[that] نَّكُونَnakūna
we will be أَوَّلَawwala
the first مَنْman
who أَلْقَىٰalqā
throws ٦٥
٦٦طه ٢٠:٦٦
قَالَqāla
He said بَلْbal
Nay أَلْقُوا۟ ۖalqū
you throw فَإِذَاfa-idhā
Then behold حِبَالُهُمْḥibāluhum
Their ropes وَعِصِيُّهُمْwaʿiṣiyyuhum
and their staffs يُخَيَّلُyukhayyalu
seemed إِلَيْهِilayhi
to him مِنmin
by سِحْرِهِمْsiḥ'rihim
their magic أَنَّهَاannahā
that they تَسْعَىٰtasʿā
(were) moving ٦٦
He said بَلْbal
Nay أَلْقُوا۟ ۖalqū
you throw فَإِذَاfa-idhā
Then behold حِبَالُهُمْḥibāluhum
Their ropes وَعِصِيُّهُمْwaʿiṣiyyuhum
and their staffs يُخَيَّلُyukhayyalu
seemed إِلَيْهِilayhi
to him مِنmin

فَأَوْجَسَfa-awjasa
So sensed فِىfī
in نَفْسِهِۦnafsihi
himself خِيفَةًۭkhīfatan
a fear مُّوسَىٰmūsā
Musa ٦٧
So sensed فِىfī
in نَفْسِهِۦnafsihi
himself خِيفَةًۭkhīfatan
a fear مُّوسَىٰmūsā
Musa ٦٧
٦٨طه ٢٠:٦٨
قُلْنَاqul'nā
We said لَاlā
(Do) not تَخَفْtakhaf
fear إِنَّكَinnaka
Indeed, you أَنتَanta
you ٱلْأَعْلَىٰl-aʿlā
(will be) superior ٦٨
We said لَاlā
(Do) not تَخَفْtakhaf
fear إِنَّكَinnaka
Indeed, you أَنتَanta
you ٱلْأَعْلَىٰl-aʿlā
(will be) superior ٦٨
٦٩طه ٢٠:٦٩
وَأَلْقِwa-alqi
And throw مَاmā
what فِىfī
(is) in يَمِينِكَyamīnika
your right hand تَلْقَفْtalqaf
it will swallow up مَاmā
what صَنَعُوٓا۟ ۖṣanaʿū
they have made إِنَّمَاinnamā
Only صَنَعُوا۟ṣanaʿū
they (have) made كَيْدُkaydu
a trick سَـٰحِرٍۢ ۖsāḥirin
(of) a magician وَلَاwalā
and not يُفْلِحُyuf'liḥu
will be successful ٱلسَّاحِرُl-sāḥiru
the magician حَيْثُḥaythu
wherever أَتَىٰatā
he comes ٦٩
And throw مَاmā
what فِىfī
(is) in يَمِينِكَyamīnika
your right hand تَلْقَفْtalqaf
it will swallow up مَاmā
what صَنَعُوٓا۟ ۖṣanaʿū
they have made إِنَّمَاinnamā
Only صَنَعُوا۟ṣanaʿū
they (have) made كَيْدُkaydu
a trick سَـٰحِرٍۢ ۖsāḥirin
(of) a magician وَلَاwalā
and not يُفْلِحُyuf'liḥu
will be successful ٱلسَّاحِرُl-sāḥiru
the magician حَيْثُḥaythu
wherever أَتَىٰatā
he comes ٦٩
٧٠طه ٢٠:٧٠
فَأُلْقِىَfa-ul'qiya
So were thrown down ٱلسَّحَرَةُl-saḥaratu
the magicians سُجَّدًۭاsujjadan
prostrating قَالُوٓا۟qālū
They said ءَامَنَّاāmannā
We believe بِرَبِّbirabbi
in (the) Lord هَـٰرُونَhārūna
(of) Harun وَمُوسَىٰwamūsā
and Musa ٧٠
So were thrown down ٱلسَّحَرَةُl-saḥaratu
the magicians سُجَّدًۭاsujjadan
prostrating قَالُوٓا۟qālū
They said ءَامَنَّاāmannā
We believe بِرَبِّbirabbi
in (the) Lord هَـٰرُونَhārūna
(of) Harun وَمُوسَىٰwamūsā
and Musa ٧٠
٧١طه ٢٠:٧١
قَالَqāla
He said ءَامَنتُمْāmantum
You believe لَهُۥlahu
[to] him قَبْلَqabla
before أَنْan
[that] ءَاذَنَādhana
I gave permission لَكُمْ ۖlakum
to you إِنَّهُۥinnahu
Indeed, he لَكَبِيرُكُمُlakabīrukumu
(is) your chief ٱلَّذِىalladhī
the one who عَلَّمَكُمُʿallamakumu
taught you ٱلسِّحْرَ ۖl-siḥ'ra
the magic فَلَأُقَطِّعَنَّfala-uqaṭṭiʿanna
So surely I will cut off أَيْدِيَكُمْaydiyakum
your hands وَأَرْجُلَكُمwa-arjulakum
and your feet مِّنْmin
of خِلَـٰفٍۢkhilāfin
opposite sides وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْwala-uṣallibannakum
and surely I will crucify you فِىfī
on جُذُوعِjudhūʿi
(the) trunks ٱلنَّخْلِl-nakhli
(of) date-palms وَلَتَعْلَمُنَّwalataʿlamunna
and surely you will know أَيُّنَآayyunā
which of us أَشَدُّashaddu
(is) more severe عَذَابًۭاʿadhāban
(in) punishment وَأَبْقَىٰwa-abqā
and more lasting ٧١
He said ءَامَنتُمْāmantum
You believe لَهُۥlahu
[to] him قَبْلَqabla
before أَنْan
[that] ءَاذَنَādhana
I gave permission لَكُمْ ۖlakum
to you إِنَّهُۥinnahu
Indeed, he لَكَبِيرُكُمُlakabīrukumu
(is) your chief ٱلَّذِىalladhī
the one who عَلَّمَكُمُʿallamakumu
taught you ٱلسِّحْرَ ۖl-siḥ'ra
the magic فَلَأُقَطِّعَنَّfala-uqaṭṭiʿanna
So surely I will cut off أَيْدِيَكُمْaydiyakum
your hands وَأَرْجُلَكُمwa-arjulakum
and your feet مِّنْmin
of خِلَـٰفٍۢkhilāfin
opposite sides وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْwala-uṣallibannakum
and surely I will crucify you فِىfī
on جُذُوعِjudhūʿi

(of) date-palms وَلَتَعْلَمُنَّwalataʿlamunna
and surely you will know أَيُّنَآayyunā

قَالُوا۟qālū
They said لَنlan
Never نُّؤْثِرَكَnu'thiraka

over مَاmā
what جَآءَنَاjāanā
has come to us مِنَmina
of ٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِl-bayināti
the clear proofs وَٱلَّذِىwa-alladhī
and the One Who فَطَرَنَا ۖfaṭaranā
created us فَٱقْضِfa-iq'ḍi
So decree مَآmā
whatever أَنتَanta
you قَاضٍ ۖqāḍin
(are) decreeing إِنَّمَاinnamā
Only تَقْضِىtaqḍī
you can decree هَـٰذِهِhādhihi
(for) this ٱلْحَيَوٰةَl-ḥayata
life ٱلدُّنْيَآl-dun'yā
(of) the world ٧٢
They said لَنlan
Never نُّؤْثِرَكَnu'thiraka
we will prefer you عَلَىٰʿalā
over مَاmā
what جَآءَنَاjāanā
has come to us مِنَmina
of ٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِl-bayināti

إِنَّآinnā
Indeed, [we] ءَامَنَّاāmannā
we believe بِرَبِّنَاbirabbinā
in our Lord لِيَغْفِرَliyaghfira
that He may forgive لَنَاlanā
for us خَطَـٰيَـٰنَاkhaṭāyānā
our sins وَمَآwamā
and what أَكْرَهْتَنَاakrahtanā
you compelled us عَلَيْهِʿalayhi
on it مِنَmina
of ٱلسِّحْرِ ۗl-siḥ'ri
the magic وَٱللَّهُwal-lahu
And Allah خَيْرٌۭkhayrun

and Ever Lasting ٧٣
Indeed, [we] ءَامَنَّاāmannā
we believe بِرَبِّنَاbirabbinā
in our Lord لِيَغْفِرَliyaghfira
that He may forgive لَنَاlanā
for us خَطَـٰيَـٰنَاkhaṭāyānā
our sins وَمَآwamā
and what أَكْرَهْتَنَاakrahtanā

٧٤طه ٢٠:٧٤
إِنَّهُۥinnahu
Indeed, he مَنman
who يَأْتِyati
comes رَبَّهُۥrabbahu
(to) his Lord مُجْرِمًۭاmuj'riman

then indeed لَهُۥlahu
for him جَهَنَّمَjahannama
(is) Hell لَاlā
Not يَمُوتُyamūtu
he will die فِيهَاfīhā
in it وَلَاwalā
and not يَحْيَىٰyaḥyā
live ٧٤
Indeed, he مَنman
who يَأْتِyati
comes رَبَّهُۥrabbahu
(to) his Lord مُجْرِمًۭاmuj'riman
(as) a criminal فَإِنَّfa-inna
then indeed لَهُۥlahu
for him جَهَنَّمَjahannama
(is) Hell لَاlā
Not يَمُوتُyamūtu
he will die فِيهَاfīhā
in it وَلَاwalā
and not يَحْيَىٰyaḥyā
live ٧٤
٧٥طه ٢٠:٧٥
وَمَنwaman
But whoever يَأْتِهِۦyatihi
comes to Him مُؤْمِنًۭاmu'minan
(as) a believer قَدْqad
verily عَمِلَʿamila
he has done ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِl-ṣāliḥāti
the righteous deeds فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَfa-ulāika
then those لَهُمُlahumu
for them ٱلدَّرَجَـٰتُl-darajātu
(will be) the ranks ٱلْعُلَىٰl-ʿulā
[the] high ٧٥
But whoever يَأْتِهِۦyatihi
comes to Him مُؤْمِنًۭاmu'minan
(as) a believer قَدْqad
verily عَمِلَʿamila
he has done ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِl-ṣāliḥāti
the righteous deeds فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَfa-ulāika
then those لَهُمُlahumu
for them ٱلدَّرَجَـٰتُl-darajātu
(will be) the ranks ٱلْعُلَىٰl-ʿulā
[the] high ٧٥
٧٦طه ٢٠:٧٦
جَنَّـٰتُjannātu
Gardens عَدْنٍۢʿadnin
(of) Eden تَجْرِىtajrī
flows مِنmin
from تَحْتِهَاtaḥtihā
underneath them ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُl-anhāru
the rivers خَـٰلِدِينَkhālidīna
abiding forever فِيهَا ۚfīhā
in it وَذَٰلِكَwadhālika
And that جَزَآءُjazāu
(is) the reward مَنman
(for him) who تَزَكَّىٰtazakkā
purifies himself ٧٦
Gardens عَدْنٍۢʿadnin
(of) Eden تَجْرِىtajrī
flows مِنmin
from تَحْتِهَاtaḥtihā
underneath them ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُl-anhāru
the rivers خَـٰلِدِينَkhālidīna
abiding forever فِيهَا ۚfīhā
in it وَذَٰلِكَwadhālika
And that جَزَآءُjazāu
(is) the reward مَنman
(for him) who تَزَكَّىٰtazakkā
purifies himself ٧٦
٧٧طه ٢٠:٧٧
وَلَقَدْwalaqad
And verily أَوْحَيْنَآawḥaynā
We inspired إِلَىٰilā
to مُوسَىٰٓmūsā
Musa أَنْan
that أَسْرِasri
Travel by night بِعِبَادِىbiʿibādī
with My slaves فَٱضْرِبْfa-iḍ'rib
and strike لَهُمْlahum
for them طَرِيقًۭاṭarīqan
a path فِىfī
in ٱلْبَحْرِl-baḥri
the sea يَبَسًۭاyabasan
dry لَّاlā
not تَخَـٰفُtakhāfu
fearing دَرَكًۭاdarakan
to be overtaken وَلَاwalā
and not تَخْشَىٰtakhshā
being afraid ٧٧
And verily أَوْحَيْنَآawḥaynā
We inspired إِلَىٰilā
to مُوسَىٰٓmūsā
Musa أَنْan
that أَسْرِasri
Travel by night بِعِبَادِىbiʿibādī
with My slaves فَٱضْرِبْfa-iḍ'rib
and strike لَهُمْlahum
for them طَرِيقًۭاṭarīqan
a path فِىfī
in ٱلْبَحْرِl-baḥri
the sea يَبَسًۭاyabasan
dry لَّاlā
not تَخَـٰفُtakhāfu
fearing دَرَكًۭاdarakan
to be overtaken وَلَاwalā
and not تَخْشَىٰtakhshā
being afraid ٧٧
٧٨طه ٢٠:٧٨
فَأَتْبَعَهُمْfa-atbaʿahum
Then followed them فِرْعَوْنُfir'ʿawnu
Firaun بِجُنُودِهِۦbijunūdihi
with his forces فَغَشِيَهُمfaghashiyahum
but covered them مِّنَmina
from ٱلْيَمِّl-yami
the sea مَاmā
what غَشِيَهُمْghashiyahum
covered them ٧٨
Then followed them فِرْعَوْنُfir'ʿawnu
Firaun بِجُنُودِهِۦbijunūdihi
with his forces فَغَشِيَهُمfaghashiyahum
but covered them مِّنَmina
from ٱلْيَمِّl-yami
the sea مَاmā
what غَشِيَهُمْghashiyahum
covered them ٧٨
٧٩طه ٢٠:٧٩
وَأَضَلَّwa-aḍalla
And led astray فِرْعَوْنُfir'ʿawnu
Firaun قَوْمَهُۥqawmahu
his people وَمَاwamā
and (did) not هَدَىٰhadā
guide them ٧٩
And led astray فِرْعَوْنُfir'ʿawnu
Firaun قَوْمَهُۥqawmahu
his people وَمَاwamā
and (did) not هَدَىٰhadā
guide them ٧٩
٨٠طه ٢٠:٨٠
يَـٰبَنِىٓyābanī
O Children of Israel إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَis'rāīla
O Children of Israel قَدْqad
Verily أَنجَيْنَـٰكُمanjaynākum
We delivered you مِّنْmin
from عَدُوِّكُمْʿaduwwikum
your enemy وَوَٰعَدْنَـٰكُمْwawāʿadnākum
and We made a covenant with you جَانِبَjāniba
on (the) side ٱلطُّورِl-ṭūri
(of) the Mount ٱلْأَيْمَنَl-aymana
the right وَنَزَّلْنَاwanazzalnā
and We sent down عَلَيْكُمُʿalaykumu
to you ٱلْمَنَّl-mana
the Manna وَٱلسَّلْوَىٰwal-salwā
and the quails ٨٠
O Children of Israel إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَis'rāīla
O Children of Israel قَدْqad
Verily أَنجَيْنَـٰكُمanjaynākum
We delivered you مِّنْmin
from عَدُوِّكُمْʿaduwwikum
your enemy وَوَٰعَدْنَـٰكُمْwawāʿadnākum
and We made a covenant with you جَانِبَjāniba
on (the) side ٱلطُّورِl-ṭūri
(of) the Mount ٱلْأَيْمَنَl-aymana
the right وَنَزَّلْنَاwanazzalnā
and We sent down عَلَيْكُمُʿalaykumu

٨١طه ٢٠:٨١
كُلُوا۟kulū
Eat مِنmin
of طَيِّبَـٰتِṭayyibāti
(the) good things مَاmā
which رَزَقْنَـٰكُمْrazaqnākum
We have provided you وَلَاwalā
and (do) not تَطْغَوْا۟taṭghaw
transgress فِيهِfīhi
therein فَيَحِلَّfayaḥilla
lest should descend عَلَيْكُمْʿalaykum
upon you غَضَبِى ۖghaḍabī
My Anger وَمَنwaman
And whoever يَحْلِلْyaḥlil
on whom descends عَلَيْهِʿalayhi
on whom descends غَضَبِىghaḍabī
My Anger فَقَدْfaqad
indeed هَوَىٰhawā
he (has) perished ٨١
Eat مِنmin
of طَيِّبَـٰتِṭayyibāti
(the) good things مَاmā
which رَزَقْنَـٰكُمْrazaqnākum
We have provided you وَلَاwalā
and (do) not تَطْغَوْا۟taṭghaw
transgress فِيهِfīhi
therein فَيَحِلَّfayaḥilla
lest should descend عَلَيْكُمْʿalaykum
upon you غَضَبِى ۖghaḍabī
My Anger وَمَنwaman
And whoever يَحْلِلْyaḥlil
on whom descends عَلَيْهِʿalayhi
on whom descends غَضَبِىghaḍabī
My Anger فَقَدْfaqad
indeed هَوَىٰhawā
he (has) perished ٨١
٨٢طه ٢٠:٨٢
وَإِنِّىwa-innī
But indeed, I Am لَغَفَّارٌۭlaghaffārun
the Perpetual Forgiver لِّمَنliman
of whoever تَابَtāba
repents وَءَامَنَwaāmana
and believes وَعَمِلَwaʿamila
and does صَـٰلِحًۭاṣāliḥan
righteous (deeds) ثُمَّthumma
then ٱهْتَدَىٰih'tadā
remains guided ٨٢
But indeed, I Am لَغَفَّارٌۭlaghaffārun
the Perpetual Forgiver لِّمَنliman
of whoever تَابَtāba
repents وَءَامَنَwaāmana
and believes وَعَمِلَwaʿamila
and does صَـٰلِحًۭاṣāliḥan
righteous (deeds) ثُمَّthumma
then ٱهْتَدَىٰih'tadā
remains guided ٨٢
٨٣طه ٢٠:٨٣
۞ وَمَآwamā
And what أَعْجَلَكَaʿjalaka
made you hasten عَنʿan
from قَوْمِكَqawmika
your people يَـٰمُوسَىٰyāmūsā
O Musa ٨٣
And what أَعْجَلَكَaʿjalaka
made you hasten عَنʿan
from قَوْمِكَqawmika
your people يَـٰمُوسَىٰyāmūsā
O Musa ٨٣
٨٤طه ٢٠:٨٤
قَالَqāla
He said هُمْhum
They أُو۟لَآءِulāi
(are) close عَلَىٰٓʿalā
upon أَثَرِىatharī
my tracks وَعَجِلْتُwaʿajil'tu
and I hastened إِلَيْكَilayka
to you رَبِّrabbi
my Lord لِتَرْضَىٰlitarḍā
that You be pleased ٨٤
He said هُمْhum
They أُو۟لَآءِulāi
(are) close عَلَىٰٓʿalā
upon أَثَرِىatharī
my tracks وَعَجِلْتُwaʿajil'tu
and I hastened إِلَيْكَilayka
to you رَبِّrabbi
my Lord لِتَرْضَىٰlitarḍā

your people مِنۢmin

after you وَأَضَلَّهُمُwa-aḍallahumu
and has led them astray ٱلسَّامِرِىُّl-sāmiriyu
the Samiri ٨٥
He said فَإِنَّاfa-innā
But indeed, We قَدْqad
[verily] فَتَنَّاfatannā
We (have) tried قَوْمَكَqawmaka
your people مِنۢmin
after you بَعْدِكَbaʿdika
after you وَأَضَلَّهُمُwa-aḍallahumu
and has led them astray ٱلسَّامِرِىُّl-sāmiriyu
the Samiri ٨٥
٨٦طه ٢٠:٨٦
فَرَجَعَfarajaʿa
Then Musa returned مُوسَىٰٓmūsā
Then Musa returned إِلَىٰilā
to قَوْمِهِۦqawmihi
his people غَضْبَـٰنَghaḍbāna
angry أَسِفًۭا ۚasifan
(and) sorrowful قَالَqāla
He said يَـٰقَوْمِyāqawmi
O my people أَلَمْalam
Did not يَعِدْكُمْyaʿid'kum
promise you رَبُّكُمْrabbukum
your Lord وَعْدًاwaʿdan
a promise حَسَنًا ۚḥasanan
good أَفَطَالَafaṭāla
Then, did seem long عَلَيْكُمُʿalaykumu
to you ٱلْعَهْدُl-ʿahdu
the promise أَمْam
or أَرَدتُّمْaradttum
did you desire أَنan
that يَحِلَّyaḥilla
descend عَلَيْكُمْʿalaykum
upon you غَضَبٌۭghaḍabun
(the) Anger مِّنmin
of رَّبِّكُمْrabbikum
your Lord فَأَخْلَفْتُمfa-akhlaftum
so you broke مَّوْعِدِىmawʿidī
(the) promise to me ٨٦
Then Musa returned مُوسَىٰٓmūsā
Then Musa returned إِلَىٰilā
to قَوْمِهِۦqawmihi
his people غَضْبَـٰنَghaḍbāna
angry أَسِفًۭا ۚasifan
(and) sorrowful قَالَqāla
He said يَـٰقَوْمِyāqawmi
O my people أَلَمْalam
Did not يَعِدْكُمْyaʿid'kum
promise you رَبُّكُمْrabbukum
your Lord وَعْدًاwaʿdan
a promise حَسَنًا ۚḥasanan
good أَفَطَالَafaṭāla
Then, did seem long عَلَيْكُمُʿalaykumu
to you ٱلْعَهْدُl-ʿahdu
the promise أَمْam
or أَرَدتُّمْaradttum
did you desire أَنan
that يَحِلَّyaḥilla
descend عَلَيْكُمْʿalaykum
upon you غَضَبٌۭghaḍabun
(the) Anger مِّنmin
of رَّبِّكُمْrabbikum
your Lord فَأَخْلَفْتُمfa-akhlaftum
so you broke مَّوْعِدِىmawʿidī
(the) promise to me ٨٦
٨٧طه ٢٠:٨٧
قَالُوا۟qālū
They said مَآmā
Not أَخْلَفْنَاakhlafnā
we broke مَوْعِدَكَmawʿidaka
promise to you بِمَلْكِنَاbimalkinā
by our will وَلَـٰكِنَّاwalākinnā
but we حُمِّلْنَآḥummil'nā
[we] were made to carry أَوْزَارًۭاawzāran
burdens مِّنmin
from زِينَةِzīnati
ornaments ٱلْقَوْمِl-qawmi
(of) the people فَقَذَفْنَـٰهَاfaqadhafnāhā
so we threw them فَكَذَٰلِكَfakadhālika
and thus أَلْقَىalqā
threw ٱلسَّامِرِىُّl-sāmiriyu
the Samiri ٨٧
They said مَآmā
Not أَخْلَفْنَاakhlafnā
we broke مَوْعِدَكَmawʿidaka
promise to you بِمَلْكِنَاbimalkinā
by our will وَلَـٰكِنَّاwalākinnā
but we حُمِّلْنَآḥummil'nā
[we] were made to carry أَوْزَارًۭاawzāran
burdens مِّنmin
from زِينَةِzīnati
ornaments ٱلْقَوْمِl-qawmi
(of) the people فَقَذَفْنَـٰهَاfaqadhafnāhā
so we threw them فَكَذَٰلِكَfakadhālika
and thus أَلْقَىalqā
threw ٱلسَّامِرِىُّl-sāmiriyu
the Samiri ٨٧
٨٨طه ٢٠:٨٨
فَأَخْرَجَfa-akhraja
Then he brought forth لَهُمْlahum
for them عِجْلًۭاʿij'lan
a calf's جَسَدًۭاjasadan
body لَّهُۥlahu
it had خُوَارٌۭkhuwārun
a lowing sound فَقَالُوا۟faqālū
and they said هَـٰذَآhādhā
This إِلَـٰهُكُمْilāhukum
(is) your god وَإِلَـٰهُwa-ilāhu
and the god مُوسَىٰmūsā
(of) Musa فَنَسِىَfanasiya
but he forgot ٨٨
Then he brought forth لَهُمْlahum
for them عِجْلًۭاʿij'lan
a calf's جَسَدًۭاjasadan
body لَّهُۥlahu
it had خُوَارٌۭkhuwārun
a lowing sound فَقَالُوا۟faqālū
and they said هَـٰذَآhādhā
This إِلَـٰهُكُمْilāhukum
(is) your god وَإِلَـٰهُwa-ilāhu
and the god مُوسَىٰmūsā
(of) Musa فَنَسِىَfanasiya
but he forgot ٨٨
٨٩طه ٢٠:٨٩
أَفَلَاafalā
Then, did not يَرَوْنَyarawna
they see أَلَّاallā
that not يَرْجِعُyarjiʿu
it (could) return إِلَيْهِمْilayhim
to them قَوْلًۭاqawlan
a word وَلَاwalā
and not يَمْلِكُyamliku
possess لَهُمْlahum
for them ضَرًّۭاḍarran
any harm وَلَاwalā
and not نَفْعًۭاnafʿan
any benefit ٨٩
Then, did not يَرَوْنَyarawna
they see أَلَّاallā
that not يَرْجِعُyarjiʿu
it (could) return إِلَيْهِمْilayhim
to them قَوْلًۭاqawlan
a word وَلَاwalā
and not يَمْلِكُyamliku
possess لَهُمْlahum
for them ضَرًّۭاḍarran
any harm وَلَاwalā
and not نَفْعًۭاnafʿan
any benefit ٨٩
٩٠طه ٢٠:٩٠
وَلَقَدْwalaqad
And verily قَالَqāla
(had) said لَهُمْlahum
to them هَـٰرُونُhārūnu
Harun مِنmin
before قَبْلُqablu
before يَـٰقَوْمِyāqawmi
O my people إِنَّمَاinnamā
Only فُتِنتُمfutintum
you are being tested بِهِۦ ۖbihi
by it وَإِنَّwa-inna
and indeed رَبَّكُمُrabbakumu
your Lord ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُl-raḥmānu
(is) the Most Gracious فَٱتَّبِعُونِىfa-ittabiʿūnī
so follow me وَأَطِيعُوٓا۟wa-aṭīʿū
and obey أَمْرِىamrī
my order ٩٠
And verily قَالَqāla
(had) said لَهُمْlahum
to them هَـٰرُونُhārūnu
Harun مِنmin
before قَبْلُqablu
before يَـٰقَوْمِyāqawmi
O my people إِنَّمَاinnamā
Only فُتِنتُمfutintum
you are being tested بِهِۦ ۖbihi
by it وَإِنَّwa-inna
and indeed رَبَّكُمُrabbakumu
your Lord ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُl-raḥmānu
(is) the Most Gracious فَٱتَّبِعُونِىfa-ittabiʿūnī
so follow me وَأَطِيعُوٓا۟wa-aṭīʿū
and obey أَمْرِىamrī
my order ٩٠
٩١طه ٢٠:٩١
قَالُوا۟qālū
They said لَنlan
Never نَّبْرَحَnabraḥa
we will cease عَلَيْهِʿalayhi
being devoted to it عَـٰكِفِينَʿākifīna
being devoted to it حَتَّىٰḥattā
until يَرْجِعَyarjiʿa
returns إِلَيْنَاilaynā
to us مُوسَىٰmūsā
Musa ٩١
They said لَنlan
Never نَّبْرَحَnabraḥa
we will cease عَلَيْهِʿalayhi
being devoted to it عَـٰكِفِينَʿākifīna
being devoted to it حَتَّىٰḥattā
until يَرْجِعَyarjiʿa
returns إِلَيْنَاilaynā
to us مُوسَىٰmūsā
Musa ٩١
٩٢طه ٢٠:٩٢
قَالَqāla
He said يَـٰهَـٰرُونُyāhārūnu
O Harun مَاmā
What مَنَعَكَmanaʿaka
prevented you إِذْidh
when رَأَيْتَهُمْra-aytahum
you saw them ضَلُّوٓا۟ḍallū
going astray ٩٢
He said يَـٰهَـٰرُونُyāhārūnu

What مَنَعَكَmanaʿaka
prevented you إِذْidh
when رَأَيْتَهُمْra-aytahum
you saw them ضَلُّوٓا۟ḍallū
going astray ٩٢
٩٣طه ٢٠:٩٣
أَلَّاallā
That not تَتَّبِعَنِ ۖtattabiʿani
you follow me أَفَعَصَيْتَafaʿaṣayta
Then, have you disobeyed أَمْرِىamrī
my order ٩٣
That not تَتَّبِعَنِ ۖtattabiʿani
you follow me أَفَعَصَيْتَafaʿaṣayta
Then, have you disobeyed أَمْرِىamrī
my order ٩٣
٩٤طه ٢٠:٩٤
قَالَqāla
He said يَبْنَؤُمَّyabna-umma
O son of my mother لَاlā
(Do) not تَأْخُذْtakhudh
seize (me) بِلِحْيَتِىbiliḥ'yatī
by my beard وَلَاwalā
and not بِرَأْسِىٓ ۖbirasī
by my head إِنِّىinnī
Indeed, I خَشِيتُkhashītu
[I] feared أَنan
that تَقُولَtaqūla
you would say فَرَّقْتَfarraqta
You caused division بَيْنَbayna
between بَنِىٓbanī
(the) Children of Israel إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَis'rāīla
(the) Children of Israel وَلَمْwalam
and not تَرْقُبْtarqub
you respect قَوْلِىqawlī
my word ٩٤
He said يَبْنَؤُمَّyabna-umma
O son of my mother لَاlā
(Do) not تَأْخُذْtakhudh
seize (me) بِلِحْيَتِىbiliḥ'yatī
by my beard وَلَاwalā
and not بِرَأْسِىٓ ۖbirasī
by my head إِنِّىinnī
Indeed, I خَشِيتُkhashītu
[I] feared أَنan

You caused division بَيْنَbayna
between بَنِىٓbanī
(the) Children of Israel إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَis'rāīla
(the) Children of Israel وَلَمْwalam
and not تَرْقُبْtarqub
you respect قَوْلِىqawlī
my word ٩٤

قَالَqāla
He said فَمَاfamā
Then what خَطْبُكَkhaṭbuka
(is) your case يَـٰسَـٰمِرِىُّyāsāmiriyyu
O Samiri ٩٥
He said فَمَاfamā
Then what خَطْبُكَkhaṭbuka
(is) your case يَـٰسَـٰمِرِىُّyāsāmiriyyu
O Samiri ٩٥
٩٦طه ٢٠:٩٦
قَالَqāla
He said بَصُرْتُbaṣur'tu
I perceived بِمَاbimā
what لَمْlam
not يَبْصُرُوا۟yabṣurū
they perceive بِهِۦbihi
in it فَقَبَضْتُfaqabaḍtu
so I took قَبْضَةًۭqabḍatan
a handful مِّنْmin
from أَثَرِathari
(the) track ٱلرَّسُولِl-rasūli
(of) the Messenger فَنَبَذْتُهَاfanabadhtuhā
then threw it وَكَذَٰلِكَwakadhālika
and thus سَوَّلَتْsawwalat
suggested لِىlī
to me نَفْسِىnafsī
my soul ٩٦
He said بَصُرْتُbaṣur'tu
I perceived بِمَاbimā
what لَمْlam
not يَبْصُرُوا۟yabṣurū
they perceive بِهِۦbihi
in it فَقَبَضْتُfaqabaḍtu
so I took قَبْضَةًۭqabḍatan
a handful مِّنْmin
from أَثَرِathari
(the) track ٱلرَّسُولِl-rasūli
(of) the Messenger فَنَبَذْتُهَاfanabadhtuhā
then threw it وَكَذَٰلِكَwakadhālika
and thus سَوَّلَتْsawwalat
suggested لِىlī
to me نَفْسِىnafsī
my soul ٩٦
٩٧طه ٢٠:٩٧
قَالَqāla
He said فَٱذْهَبْfa-idh'hab
Then go فَإِنَّfa-inna
And indeed لَكَlaka
for you فِىfī
in ٱلْحَيَوٰةِl-ḥayati
the life أَنan
that تَقُولَtaqūla
you will say لَاlā
(Do) not مِسَاسَ ۖmisāsa
touch وَإِنَّwa-inna
And indeed لَكَlaka
for you مَوْعِدًۭاmawʿidan
(is) an appointment لَّنlan
never تُخْلَفَهُۥ ۖtukh'lafahu
you will fail to (keep) it وَٱنظُرْwa-unẓur
And look إِلَىٰٓilā
at إِلَـٰهِكَilāhika
your god ٱلَّذِىalladhī
that which ظَلْتَẓalta
you have remained عَلَيْهِʿalayhi
to it عَاكِفًۭا ۖʿākifan
devoted لَّنُحَرِّقَنَّهُۥlanuḥarriqannahu
Surely we will burn it ثُمَّthumma
then لَنَنسِفَنَّهُۥlanansifannahu
certainly we will scatter it فِىfī
in ٱلْيَمِّl-yami
the sea نَسْفًاnasfan
(in) particles ٩٧
He said فَٱذْهَبْfa-idh'hab
Then go فَإِنَّfa-inna
And indeed لَكَlaka
for you فِىfī
in ٱلْحَيَوٰةِl-ḥayati
the life أَنan
that تَقُولَtaqūla
you will say لَاlā
(Do) not مِسَاسَ ۖmisāsa
touch وَإِنَّwa-inna
And indeed لَكَlaka
for you مَوْعِدًۭاmawʿidan
(is) an appointment لَّنlan
never تُخْلَفَهُۥ ۖtukh'lafahu
you will fail to (keep) it وَٱنظُرْwa-unẓur
And look إِلَىٰٓilā
at إِلَـٰهِكَilāhika
your god ٱلَّذِىalladhī

you have remained عَلَيْهِʿalayhi

devoted لَّنُحَرِّقَنَّهُۥlanuḥarriqannahu
Surely we will burn it ثُمَّthumma

certainly we will scatter it فِىfī
in ٱلْيَمِّl-yami
the sea نَسْفًاnasfan
(in) particles ٩٧
٩٨طه ٢٠:٩٨
إِنَّمَآinnamā
Only إِلَـٰهُكُمُilāhukumu
your God ٱللَّهُl-lahu
(is) Allah ٱلَّذِىalladhī
the One لَآlā
(there is) no إِلَـٰهَilāha
god إِلَّاillā
but هُوَ ۚhuwa
He وَسِعَwasiʿa
He has encompassed كُلَّkulla
all شَىْءٍshayin
things عِلْمًۭاʿil'man
(in) knowledge ٩٨
Only إِلَـٰهُكُمُilāhukumu
your God ٱللَّهُl-lahu
(is) Allah ٱلَّذِىalladhī
the One لَآlā
(there is) no إِلَـٰهَilāha
god إِلَّاillā
but هُوَ ۚhuwa
He وَسِعَwasiʿa
He has encompassed كُلَّkulla
all شَىْءٍshayin
things عِلْمًۭاʿil'man
(in) knowledge ٩٨
٩٩طه ٢٠:٩٩
كَذَٰلِكَkadhālika
Thus نَقُصُّnaquṣṣu
We relate عَلَيْكَʿalayka
to you مِنْmin
from أَنۢبَآءِanbāi
(the) news مَاmā
(of) what قَدْqad
has preceded سَبَقَ ۚsabaqa
has preceded وَقَدْwaqad
And certainly ءَاتَيْنَـٰكَātaynāka
We have given you مِنmin
from لَّدُنَّاladunnā
Us ذِكْرًۭاdhik'ran
a Reminder ٩٩
Thus نَقُصُّnaquṣṣu
We relate عَلَيْكَʿalayka
to you مِنْmin
from أَنۢبَآءِanbāi
(the) news مَاmā
(of) what قَدْqad
has preceded سَبَقَ ۚsabaqa
has preceded وَقَدْwaqad
And certainly ءَاتَيْنَـٰكَātaynāka
We have given you مِنmin
from لَّدُنَّاladunnā
Us ذِكْرًۭاdhik'ran
a Reminder ٩٩
١٠٠طه ٢٠:١٠٠
مَّنْman
Whoever أَعْرَضَaʿraḍa
turns away عَنْهُʿanhu
from it فَإِنَّهُۥfa-innahu
then indeed, he يَحْمِلُyaḥmilu
will bear يَوْمَyawma
(on the) Day ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِl-qiyāmati
(of) Resurrection وِزْرًاwiz'ran
a burden ١٠٠
Whoever أَعْرَضَaʿraḍa
turns away عَنْهُʿanhu
from it فَإِنَّهُۥfa-innahu
then indeed, he يَحْمِلُyaḥmilu
will bear يَوْمَyawma
(on the) Day ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِl-qiyāmati
(of) Resurrection وِزْرًاwiz'ran
a burden ١٠٠
١٠١طه ٢٠:١٠١
خَـٰلِدِينَkhālidīna
Abiding forever فِيهِ ۖfīhi
in it وَسَآءَwasāa
and evil لَهُمْlahum
for them يَوْمَyawma
(on the) Day ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِl-qiyāmati
(of) the Resurrection حِمْلًۭاḥim'lan
(as) a load ١٠١
Abiding forever فِيهِ ۖfīhi
in it وَسَآءَwasāa
and evil لَهُمْlahum
for them يَوْمَyawma
(on the) Day ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِl-qiyāmati
(of) the Resurrection حِمْلًۭاḥim'lan
(as) a load ١٠١
١٠٢طه ٢٠:١٠٢
يَوْمَyawma
(The) Day يُنفَخُyunfakhu
will be blown فِىfī
in ٱلصُّورِ ۚl-ṣūri
the Trumpet وَنَحْشُرُwanaḥshuru
and We will gather ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَl-muj'rimīna
the criminals يَوْمَئِذٍۢyawma-idhin
that Day زُرْقًۭاzur'qan
blue-eyed ١٠٢
(The) Day يُنفَخُyunfakhu
will be blown فِىfī
in ٱلصُّورِ ۚl-ṣūri
the Trumpet وَنَحْشُرُwanaḥshuru
and We will gather ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَl-muj'rimīna
the criminals يَوْمَئِذٍۢyawma-idhin
that Day زُرْقًۭاzur'qan
blue-eyed ١٠٢
١٠٣طه ٢٠:١٠٣
يَتَخَـٰفَتُونَyatakhāfatūna
They are murmuring بَيْنَهُمْbaynahum
among themselves إِنin
Not لَّبِثْتُمْlabith'tum
you remained إِلَّاillā
except (for) عَشْرًۭاʿashran
ten ١٠٣
They are murmuring بَيْنَهُمْbaynahum
among themselves إِنin
Not لَّبِثْتُمْlabith'tum
you remained إِلَّاillā
except (for) عَشْرًۭاʿashran
ten ١٠٣
١٠٤طه ٢٠:١٠٤
نَّحْنُnaḥnu
We أَعْلَمُaʿlamu
know best بِمَاbimā
what يَقُولُونَyaqūlūna
they will say إِذْidh
when يَقُولُyaqūlu
will say أَمْثَلُهُمْamthaluhum
(the) best of them طَرِيقَةًṭarīqatan
(in) conduct إِنin
Not لَّبِثْتُمْlabith'tum
you remained إِلَّاillā
except (for) يَوْمًۭاyawman
a day ١٠٤
We أَعْلَمُaʿlamu
know best بِمَاbimā
what يَقُولُونَyaqūlūna
they will say إِذْidh
when يَقُولُyaqūlu
will say أَمْثَلُهُمْamthaluhum
(the) best of them طَرِيقَةًṭarīqatan
(in) conduct إِنin
Not لَّبِثْتُمْlabith'tum
you remained إِلَّاillā
except (for) يَوْمًۭاyawman
a day ١٠٤
١٠٥طه ٢٠:١٠٥
وَيَسْـَٔلُونَكَwayasalūnaka
And they ask you عَنِʿani
about ٱلْجِبَالِl-jibāli
the mountains فَقُلْfaqul
so say يَنسِفُهَاyansifuhā
Will blast them رَبِّىrabbī
my Lord نَسْفًۭاnasfan
(into) particles ١٠٥
And they ask you عَنِʿani
about ٱلْجِبَالِl-jibāli
the mountains فَقُلْfaqul
so say يَنسِفُهَاyansifuhā
Will blast them رَبِّىrabbī
my Lord نَسْفًۭاnasfan
(into) particles ١٠٥
١٠٦طه ٢٠:١٠٦
فَيَذَرُهَاfayadharuhā
Then He will leave it قَاعًۭاqāʿan
a level صَفْصَفًۭاṣafṣafan
plain ١٠٦
Then He will leave it قَاعًۭاqāʿan
a level صَفْصَفًۭاṣafṣafan
plain ١٠٦
١٠٧طه ٢٠:١٠٧
لَّاlā
Not تَرَىٰtarā
you will see فِيهَاfīhā
in it عِوَجًۭاʿiwajan
any crookedness وَلَآwalā
and not أَمْتًۭاamtan
any curve ١٠٧
Not تَرَىٰtarā
you will see فِيهَاfīhā
in it عِوَجًۭاʿiwajan
any crookedness وَلَآwalā
and not أَمْتًۭاamtan
any curve ١٠٧
١٠٨طه ٢٠:١٠٨
يَوْمَئِذٍۢyawma-idhin
On that Day يَتَّبِعُونَyattabiʿūna
they will follow ٱلدَّاعِىَl-dāʿiya
the caller لَاlā
no عِوَجَʿiwaja
deviation لَهُۥ ۖlahu
from it وَخَشَعَتِwakhashaʿati
And (will be) humbled ٱلْأَصْوَاتُl-aṣwātu
the voices لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِlilrraḥmāni
for the Most Gracious فَلَاfalā
so not تَسْمَعُtasmaʿu
you will hear إِلَّاillā
except هَمْسًۭاhamsan
a faint sound ١٠٨
On that Day يَتَّبِعُونَyattabiʿūna
they will follow ٱلدَّاعِىَl-dāʿiya
the caller لَاlā
no عِوَجَʿiwaja
deviation لَهُۥ ۖlahu
from it وَخَشَعَتِwakhashaʿati
And (will be) humbled ٱلْأَصْوَاتُl-aṣwātu
the voices لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِlilrraḥmāni
for the Most Gracious فَلَاfalā
so not تَسْمَعُtasmaʿu
you will hear إِلَّاillā
except هَمْسًۭاhamsan
a faint sound ١٠٨
١٠٩طه ٢٠:١٠٩
يَوْمَئِذٍۢyawma-idhin
(On) that Day لَّاlā
not تَنفَعُtanfaʿu
will benefit ٱلشَّفَـٰعَةُl-shafāʿatu
the intercession إِلَّاillā
except مَنْman
(to) whom أَذِنَadhina
has given permission لَهُlahu
[to him] ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُl-raḥmānu
the Most Gracious وَرَضِىَwaraḍiya
and He has accepted لَهُۥlahu
for him قَوْلًۭاqawlan
a word ١٠٩
(On) that Day لَّاlā
not تَنفَعُtanfaʿu
will benefit ٱلشَّفَـٰعَةُl-shafāʿatu

(is) behind them وَلَاwalā
while not يُحِيطُونَyuḥīṭūna
they encompass بِهِۦbihi
it عِلْمًۭاʿil'man
(in) knowledge ١١٠
He knows مَاmā
what بَيْنَbayna
(is) before them أَيْدِيهِمْaydīhim
(is) before them وَمَاwamā
and what خَلْفَهُمْkhalfahum
(is) behind them وَلَاwalā
while not يُحِيطُونَyuḥīṭūna
they encompass بِهِۦbihi
it عِلْمًۭاʿil'man
(in) knowledge ١١٠
١١١طه ٢٠:١١١
۞ وَعَنَتِwaʿanati
And (will be) humbled ٱلْوُجُوهُl-wujūhu
the faces لِلْحَىِّlil'ḥayyi
before the Ever-Living ٱلْقَيُّومِ ۖl-qayūmi
the Self-Subsisting وَقَدْwaqad
And verily خَابَkhāba
will have failed مَنْman
(he) who حَمَلَḥamala
carried ظُلْمًۭاẓul'man
wrongdoing ١١١
And (will be) humbled ٱلْوُجُوهُl-wujūhu
the faces لِلْحَىِّlil'ḥayyi
before the Ever-Living ٱلْقَيُّومِ ۖl-qayūmi
the Self-Subsisting وَقَدْwaqad
And verily خَابَkhāba
will have failed مَنْman
(he) who حَمَلَḥamala
carried ظُلْمًۭاẓul'man
wrongdoing ١١١
١١٢طه ٢٠:١١٢
وَمَنwaman
But (he) who يَعْمَلْyaʿmal
does مِنَmina
of ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِl-ṣāliḥāti
the righteous deeds وَهُوَwahuwa
while he مُؤْمِنٌۭmu'minun
(is) a believer فَلَاfalā
then not يَخَافُyakhāfu
he will fear ظُلْمًۭاẓul'man
injustice وَلَاwalā
and not هَضْمًۭاhaḍman
deprivation ١١٢
But (he) who يَعْمَلْyaʿmal
does مِنَmina
of ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِl-ṣāliḥāti
the righteous deeds وَهُوَwahuwa
while he مُؤْمِنٌۭmu'minun
(is) a believer فَلَاfalā
then not يَخَافُyakhāfu
he will fear ظُلْمًۭاẓul'man
injustice وَلَاwalā
and not هَضْمًۭاhaḍman
deprivation ١١٢
١١٣طه ٢٠:١١٣
وَكَذَٰلِكَwakadhālika
And thus أَنزَلْنَـٰهُanzalnāhu
We have sent it down قُرْءَانًاqur'ānan
(the) Quran عَرَبِيًّۭاʿarabiyyan
(in) Arabic وَصَرَّفْنَاwaṣarrafnā
and We have explained فِيهِfīhi
in it مِنَmina
of ٱلْوَعِيدِl-waʿīdi
the warnings لَعَلَّهُمْlaʿallahum
that they may يَتَّقُونَyattaqūna
fear أَوْaw
or يُحْدِثُyuḥ'dithu
it may cause لَهُمْlahum
[for] them ذِكْرًۭاdhik'ran
remembrance ١١٣
And thus أَنزَلْنَـٰهُanzalnāhu
We have sent it down قُرْءَانًاqur'ānan
(the) Quran عَرَبِيًّۭاʿarabiyyan
(in) Arabic وَصَرَّفْنَاwaṣarrafnā
and We have explained فِيهِfīhi
in it مِنَmina
of ٱلْوَعِيدِl-waʿīdi
the warnings لَعَلَّهُمْlaʿallahum
that they may يَتَّقُونَyattaqūna
fear أَوْaw
or يُحْدِثُyuḥ'dithu
it may cause لَهُمْlahum
[for] them ذِكْرًۭاdhik'ran
remembrance ١١٣
١١٤طه ٢٠:١١٤
فَتَعَـٰلَىfataʿālā
So high (above all) ٱللَّهُl-lahu
(is) Allah ٱلْمَلِكُl-maliku
the King ٱلْحَقُّ ۗl-ḥaqu
the True وَلَاwalā
And (do) not تَعْجَلْtaʿjal
hasten بِٱلْقُرْءَانِbil-qur'āni
with the Quran مِنmin
before قَبْلِqabli
before أَنan
[that] يُقْضَىٰٓyuq'ḍā
is completed إِلَيْكَilayka
to you وَحْيُهُۥ ۖwaḥyuhu
its revelation وَقُلwaqul
and say رَّبِّrabbi
My Lord زِدْنِىzid'nī
Increase me عِلْمًۭاʿil'man
(in) knowledge ١١٤
So high (above all) ٱللَّهُl-lahu
(is) Allah ٱلْمَلِكُl-maliku
the King ٱلْحَقُّ ۗl-ḥaqu
the True وَلَاwalā
And (do) not تَعْجَلْtaʿjal
hasten بِٱلْقُرْءَانِbil-qur'āni
with the Quran مِنmin
before قَبْلِqabli
before أَنan
[that] يُقْضَىٰٓyuq'ḍā
is completed إِلَيْكَilayka
to you وَحْيُهُۥ ۖwaḥyuhu
its revelation وَقُلwaqul
and say رَّبِّrabbi
My Lord زِدْنِىzid'nī
Increase me عِلْمًۭاʿil'man
(in) knowledge ١١٤
١١٥طه ٢٠:١١٥
وَلَقَدْwalaqad
And verily عَهِدْنَآʿahid'nā
We made a covenant إِلَىٰٓilā
with ءَادَمَādama
Adam مِنmin
before قَبْلُqablu
before فَنَسِىَfanasiya
but he forgot وَلَمْwalam
and not نَجِدْnajid
We found لَهُۥlahu
in him عَزْمًۭاʿazman
determination ١١٥
And verily عَهِدْنَآʿahid'nā
We made a covenant إِلَىٰٓilā
with ءَادَمَādama
Adam مِنmin
before قَبْلُqablu
before فَنَسِىَfanasiya
but he forgot وَلَمْwalam
and not نَجِدْnajid
We found لَهُۥlahu
in him عَزْمًۭاʿazman
determination ١١٥
١١٦طه ٢٠:١١٦
وَإِذْwa-idh
And when قُلْنَاqul'nā
We said لِلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِlil'malāikati
to the Angels ٱسْجُدُوا۟us'judū
Prostrate لِـَٔادَمَliādama
to Adam فَسَجَدُوٓا۟fasajadū
then they prostrated إِلَّآillā
except إِبْلِيسَib'līsa
Iblis أَبَىٰabā
he refused ١١٦
And when قُلْنَاqul'nā
We said لِلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِlil'malāikati
to the Angels ٱسْجُدُوا۟us'judū
Prostrate لِـَٔادَمَliādama
to Adam فَسَجَدُوٓا۟fasajadū
then they prostrated إِلَّآillā
except إِبْلِيسَib'līsa
Iblis أَبَىٰabā
he refused ١١٦
١١٧طه ٢٠:١١٧
فَقُلْنَاfaqul'nā
Then We said يَـٰٓـَٔادَمُyāādamu
O Adam إِنَّinna
Indeed هَـٰذَاhādhā
this عَدُوٌّۭʿaduwwun
(is) an enemy لَّكَlaka
to you وَلِزَوْجِكَwalizawjika
and to your wife فَلَاfalā
So not يُخْرِجَنَّكُمَاyukh'rijannakumā
(let) him drive you both مِنَmina
from ٱلْجَنَّةِl-janati
Paradise فَتَشْقَىٰٓfatashqā
so (that) you would suffer ١١٧
Then We said يَـٰٓـَٔادَمُyāādamu
O Adam إِنَّinna
Indeed هَـٰذَاhādhā
this عَدُوٌّۭʿaduwwun
(is) an enemy لَّكَlaka
to you وَلِزَوْجِكَwalizawjika
and to your wife فَلَاfalā
So not يُخْرِجَنَّكُمَاyukh'rijannakumā
(let) him drive you both مِنَmina
from ٱلْجَنَّةِl-janati
Paradise فَتَشْقَىٰٓfatashqā
so (that) you would suffer ١١٧
١١٨طه ٢٠:١١٨
إِنَّinna
Indeed لَكَlaka
for you أَلَّاallā
that not تَجُوعَtajūʿa
you will be hungry فِيهَاfīhā
therein وَلَاwalā
and not تَعْرَىٰtaʿrā
you will be unclothed ١١٨
Indeed لَكَlaka
for you أَلَّاallā
that not تَجُوعَtajūʿa
you will be hungry فِيهَاfīhā
therein وَلَاwalā
and not تَعْرَىٰtaʿrā
you will be unclothed ١١٨
١١٩طه ٢٠:١١٩
وَأَنَّكَwa-annaka
And that you لَاlā
not تَظْمَؤُا۟taẓma-u
will suffer from thirst فِيهَاfīhā
therein وَلَاwalā
and not تَضْحَىٰtaḍḥā
exposed to the sun's heat ١١٩
And that you لَاlā
not تَظْمَؤُا۟taẓma-u
will suffer from thirst فِيهَاfīhā
therein وَلَاwalā
and not تَضْحَىٰtaḍḥā
exposed to the sun's heat ١١٩
١٢٠طه ٢٠:١٢٠
فَوَسْوَسَfawaswasa
Then whispered إِلَيْهِilayhi
to him ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُl-shayṭānu
Shaitaan قَالَqāla
he said يَـٰٓـَٔادَمُyāādamu
O Adam هَلْhal
Shall أَدُلُّكَadulluka
I direct you عَلَىٰʿalā
to شَجَرَةِshajarati
(the) tree ٱلْخُلْدِl-khul'di
(of) the Eternity وَمُلْكٍۢwamul'kin
and a kingdom لَّاlā
not يَبْلَىٰyablā
(that will) deteriorate ١٢٠
Then whispered إِلَيْهِilayhi
to him ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُl-shayṭānu
Shaitaan قَالَqāla
he said يَـٰٓـَٔادَمُyāādamu
O Adam هَلْhal
Shall أَدُلُّكَadulluka
I direct you عَلَىٰʿalā
to شَجَرَةِshajarati
(the) tree ٱلْخُلْدِl-khul'di
(of) the Eternity وَمُلْكٍۢwamul'kin
and a kingdom لَّاlā
not يَبْلَىٰyablā
(that will) deteriorate ١٢٠
١٢١طه ٢٠:١٢١
فَأَكَلَاfa-akalā
Then they both ate مِنْهَاmin'hā
from it فَبَدَتْfabadat
so became apparent لَهُمَاlahumā
to them سَوْءَٰتُهُمَاsawātuhumā
their shame وَطَفِقَاwaṭafiqā
and they began يَخْصِفَانِyakhṣifāni
(to) fasten عَلَيْهِمَاʿalayhimā
on themselves مِنmin
from وَرَقِwaraqi
(the) leaves ٱلْجَنَّةِ ۚl-janati
(of) Paradise وَعَصَىٰٓwaʿaṣā
And Adam disobeyed ءَادَمُādamu
And Adam disobeyed رَبَّهُۥrabbahu
his Lord فَغَوَىٰfaghawā
and erred ١٢١
Then they both ate مِنْهَاmin'hā
from it فَبَدَتْfabadat
so became apparent لَهُمَاlahumā
to them سَوْءَٰتُهُمَاsawātuhumā
their shame وَطَفِقَاwaṭafiqā
and they began يَخْصِفَانِyakhṣifāni
(to) fasten عَلَيْهِمَاʿalayhimā
on themselves مِنmin
from وَرَقِwaraqi
(the) leaves ٱلْجَنَّةِ ۚl-janati
(of) Paradise وَعَصَىٰٓwaʿaṣā
And Adam disobeyed ءَادَمُādamu
And Adam disobeyed رَبَّهُۥrabbahu
his Lord فَغَوَىٰfaghawā
and erred ١٢١
١٢٢طه ٢٠:١٢٢
ثُمَّthumma
Then ٱجْتَبَـٰهُij'tabāhu
chose him رَبُّهُۥrabbuhu
his Lord فَتَابَfatāba
and turned عَلَيْهِʿalayhi
to him وَهَدَىٰwahadā
and guided (him) ١٢٢
Then ٱجْتَبَـٰهُij'tabāhu
chose him رَبُّهُۥrabbuhu
his Lord فَتَابَfatāba
and turned عَلَيْهِʿalayhi
to him وَهَدَىٰwahadā
and guided (him) ١٢٢
١٢٣طه ٢٠:١٢٣
قَالَqāla
He said ٱهْبِطَاih'biṭā
Go down مِنْهَاmin'hā
from it جَمِيعًۢا ۖjamīʿan
all بَعْضُكُمْbaʿḍukum
some of you لِبَعْضٍlibaʿḍin
to others عَدُوٌّۭ ۖʿaduwwun
(as) enemy فَإِمَّاfa-immā
Then if يَأْتِيَنَّكُمyatiyannakum
comes to you مِّنِّىminnī
from Me هُدًۭىhudan
guidance فَمَنِfamani
then whoever ٱتَّبَعَittabaʿa
follows هُدَاىَhudāya
My guidance فَلَاfalā
then not يَضِلُّyaḍillu
he will go astray وَلَاwalā
and not يَشْقَىٰyashqā
suffer ١٢٣
He said ٱهْبِطَاih'biṭā
Go down مِنْهَاmin'hā
from it جَمِيعًۢا ۖjamīʿan
all بَعْضُكُمْbaʿḍukum
some of you لِبَعْضٍlibaʿḍin
to others عَدُوٌّۭ ۖʿaduwwun
(as) enemy فَإِمَّاfa-immā
Then if يَأْتِيَنَّكُمyatiyannakum
comes to you مِّنِّىminnī
from Me هُدًۭىhudan
guidance فَمَنِfamani
then whoever ٱتَّبَعَittabaʿa
follows هُدَاىَhudāya
My guidance فَلَاfalā
then not يَضِلُّyaḍillu
he will go astray وَلَاwalā
and not يَشْقَىٰyashqā
suffer ١٢٣
١٢٤طه ٢٠:١٢٤
وَمَنْwaman
And whoever أَعْرَضَaʿraḍa
turns away عَنʿan
from ذِكْرِىdhik'rī
My remembrance فَإِنَّfa-inna
then indeed لَهُۥlahu
for him مَعِيشَةًۭmaʿīshatan
(is) a life ضَنكًۭاḍankan
straitened وَنَحْشُرُهُۥwanaḥshuruhu
and We will gather him يَوْمَyawma
(on the) Day ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِl-qiyāmati
(of) the Resurrection أَعْمَىٰaʿmā
blind ١٢٤
And whoever أَعْرَضَaʿraḍa
turns away عَنʿan
from ذِكْرِىdhik'rī
My remembrance فَإِنَّfa-inna
then indeed لَهُۥlahu
for him مَعِيشَةًۭmaʿīshatan
(is) a life ضَنكًۭاḍankan
straitened وَنَحْشُرُهُۥwanaḥshuruhu
and We will gather him يَوْمَyawma
(on the) Day ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِl-qiyāmati
(of) the Resurrection أَعْمَىٰaʿmā
blind ١٢٤
١٢٥طه ٢٠:١٢٥
قَالَqāla
He will say رَبِّrabbi
My Lord لِمَlima
Why حَشَرْتَنِىٓḥashartanī
You raised me أَعْمَىٰaʿmā
blind وَقَدْwaqad
while [verily] كُنتُkuntu
I had بَصِيرًۭاbaṣīran
sight ١٢٥
He will say رَبِّrabbi
My Lord لِمَlima
Why حَشَرْتَنِىٓḥashartanī
You raised me أَعْمَىٰaʿmā
blind وَقَدْwaqad
while [verily] كُنتُkuntu
I had بَصِيرًۭاbaṣīran
sight ١٢٥
١٢٦طه ٢٠:١٢٦
قَالَqāla
He will say كَذَٰلِكَkadhālika
Thus أَتَتْكَatatka
came to you ءَايَـٰتُنَاāyātunā
Our Signs فَنَسِيتَهَا ۖfanasītahā
but you forgot them وَكَذَٰلِكَwakadhālika
and thus ٱلْيَوْمَl-yawma
today تُنسَىٰtunsā
you will be forgotten ١٢٦
He will say كَذَٰلِكَkadhālika
Thus أَتَتْكَatatka
came to you ءَايَـٰتُنَاāyātunā
Our Signs فَنَسِيتَهَا ۖfanasītahā
but you forgot them وَكَذَٰلِكَwakadhālika
and thus ٱلْيَوْمَl-yawma
today تُنسَىٰtunsā
you will be forgotten ١٢٦
١٢٧طه ٢٠:١٢٧
وَكَذَٰلِكَwakadhālika
And thus نَجْزِىnajzī
We recompense مَنْman
(he) who أَسْرَفَasrafa
transgresses وَلَمْwalam
and not يُؤْمِنۢyu'min
believes بِـَٔايَـٰتِbiāyāti
in (the) Signs رَبِّهِۦ ۚrabbihi
(of) his Lord وَلَعَذَابُwalaʿadhābu
And surely (the) punishment ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِl-ākhirati
(of) the Hereafter أَشَدُّashaddu
(is) more severe وَأَبْقَىٰٓwa-abqā
and more lasting ١٢٧
And thus نَجْزِىnajzī
We recompense مَنْman
(he) who أَسْرَفَasrafa
transgresses وَلَمْwalam
and not يُؤْمِنۢyu'min
believes بِـَٔايَـٰتِbiāyāti
in (the) Signs رَبِّهِۦ ۚrabbihi
(of) his Lord وَلَعَذَابُwalaʿadhābu
And surely (the) punishment ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِl-ākhirati
(of) the Hereafter أَشَدُّashaddu
(is) more severe وَأَبْقَىٰٓwa-abqā
and more lasting ١٢٧
١٢٨طه ٢٠:١٢٨
أَفَلَمْafalam
Then has not يَهْدِyahdi
it guided لَهُمْlahum
[for] them كَمْkam
how many أَهْلَكْنَاahlaknā
We (have) destroyed قَبْلَهُمqablahum
before them مِّنَmina
of ٱلْقُرُونِl-qurūni
the generations يَمْشُونَyamshūna
(as) they walk فِىfī
in مَسَـٰكِنِهِمْ ۗmasākinihim
their dwellings إِنَّinna
Indeed فِىfī
in ذَٰلِكَdhālika
that لَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢlaāyātin
surely (are) Signs لِّأُو۟لِىli-ulī
for possessors ٱلنُّهَىٰl-nuhā
(of) intelligence ١٢٨
Then has not يَهْدِyahdi
it guided لَهُمْlahum
[for] them كَمْkam
how many أَهْلَكْنَاahlaknā
We (have) destroyed قَبْلَهُمqablahum
before them مِّنَmina
of ٱلْقُرُونِl-qurūni
the generations يَمْشُونَyamshūna
(as) they walk فِىfī
in مَسَـٰكِنِهِمْ ۗmasākinihim
their dwellings إِنَّinna
Indeed فِىfī
in ذَٰلِكَdhālika
that لَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢlaāyātin
surely (are) Signs لِّأُو۟لِىli-ulī
for possessors ٱلنُّهَىٰl-nuhā
(of) intelligence ١٢٨
١٢٩طه ٢٠:١٢٩
وَلَوْلَاwalawlā
And if not كَلِمَةٌۭkalimatun
(for) a Word سَبَقَتْsabaqat
(that) preceded مِنmin
from رَّبِّكَrabbika
your Lord لَكَانَlakāna
surely (would) have been لِزَامًۭاlizāman
an obligation وَأَجَلٌۭwa-ajalun
and a term مُّسَمًّۭىmusamman
determined ١٢٩
And if not كَلِمَةٌۭkalimatun
(for) a Word سَبَقَتْsabaqat
(that) preceded مِنmin
from رَّبِّكَrabbika
your Lord لَكَانَlakāna
surely (would) have been لِزَامًۭاlizāman
an obligation وَأَجَلٌۭwa-ajalun
and a term مُّسَمًّۭىmusamman
determined ١٢٩
١٣٠طه ٢٠:١٣٠
فَٱصْبِرْfa-iṣ'bir
So be patient عَلَىٰʿalā
over مَاmā
what يَقُولُونَyaqūlūna
they say وَسَبِّحْwasabbiḥ
and glorify بِحَمْدِbiḥamdi
with praise رَبِّكَrabbika
(of) your Lord قَبْلَqabla
before طُلُوعِṭulūʿi
(the) rising ٱلشَّمْسِl-shamsi
(of) the sun وَقَبْلَwaqabla
and before غُرُوبِهَا ۖghurūbihā
its setting وَمِنْwamin
and from ءَانَآئِānāi
(the) hours ٱلَّيْلِal-layli
(of) the night فَسَبِّحْfasabbiḥ
and glorify وَأَطْرَافَwa-aṭrāfa
(at the) ends ٱلنَّهَارِl-nahāri
(of) the day لَعَلَّكَlaʿallaka
so that you may تَرْضَىٰtarḍā
be satisfied ١٣٠
So be patient عَلَىٰʿalā
over مَاmā
what يَقُولُونَyaqūlūna
they say وَسَبِّحْwasabbiḥ
and glorify بِحَمْدِbiḥamdi
with praise رَبِّكَrabbika
(of) your Lord قَبْلَqabla
before طُلُوعِṭulūʿi
(the) rising ٱلشَّمْسِl-shamsi
(of) the sun وَقَبْلَwaqabla
and before غُرُوبِهَا ۖghurūbihā
its setting وَمِنْwamin
and from ءَانَآئِānāi
(the) hours ٱلَّيْلِal-layli
(of) the night فَسَبِّحْfasabbiḥ
and glorify وَأَطْرَافَwa-aṭrāfa
(at the) ends ٱلنَّهَارِl-nahāri
(of) the day لَعَلَّكَlaʿallaka
so that you may تَرْضَىٰtarḍā
be satisfied ١٣٠
١٣١طه ٢٠:١٣١
وَلَاwalā
And (do) not تَمُدَّنَّtamuddanna
extend عَيْنَيْكَʿaynayka
your eyes إِلَىٰilā
towards مَاmā
what مَتَّعْنَاmattaʿnā
We have given for enjoyment بِهِۦٓbihi
[with it] أَزْوَٰجًۭاazwājan
pairs مِّنْهُمْmin'hum
of them زَهْرَةَzahrata
(the) splendor ٱلْحَيَوٰةِl-ḥayati
(of) the life ٱلدُّنْيَاl-dun'yā
(of) the world لِنَفْتِنَهُمْlinaftinahum
that We may test them فِيهِ ۚfīhi
in it وَرِزْقُwariz'qu
And (the) provision رَبِّكَrabbika
(of) your Lord خَيْرٌۭkhayrun
(is) better وَأَبْقَىٰwa-abqā
and more lasting ١٣١
And (do) not تَمُدَّنَّtamuddanna
extend عَيْنَيْكَʿaynayka
your eyes إِلَىٰilā
towards مَاmā
what مَتَّعْنَاmattaʿnā
We have given for enjoyment بِهِۦٓbihi
[with it] أَزْوَٰجًۭاazwājan
pairs مِّنْهُمْmin'hum
of them زَهْرَةَzahrata
(the) splendor ٱلْحَيَوٰةِl-ḥayati
(of) the life ٱلدُّنْيَاl-dun'yā
(of) the world لِنَفْتِنَهُمْlinaftinahum
that We may test them فِيهِ ۚfīhi
in it وَرِزْقُwariz'qu
And (the) provision رَبِّكَrabbika
(of) your Lord خَيْرٌۭkhayrun
(is) better وَأَبْقَىٰwa-abqā
and more lasting ١٣١
١٣٢طه ٢٠:١٣٢
وَأْمُرْwamur
And enjoin أَهْلَكَahlaka
(on) your family بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِbil-ṣalati
the prayer وَٱصْطَبِرْwa-iṣ'ṭabir
and be steadfast عَلَيْهَا ۖʿalayhā
therein لَاlā
Not نَسْـَٔلُكَnasaluka
We ask you رِزْقًۭا ۖriz'qan
(for) provision نَّحْنُnaḥnu
We نَرْزُقُكَ ۗnarzuquka
provide (for) you وَٱلْعَـٰقِبَةُwal-ʿāqibatu
and the outcome لِلتَّقْوَىٰlilttaqwā
(is) for the righteous[ness] ١٣٢
And enjoin أَهْلَكَahlaka
(on) your family بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِbil-ṣalati
the prayer وَٱصْطَبِرْwa-iṣ'ṭabir
and be steadfast عَلَيْهَا ۖʿalayhā
therein لَاlā
Not نَسْـَٔلُكَnasaluka
We ask you رِزْقًۭا ۖriz'qan
(for) provision نَّحْنُnaḥnu
We نَرْزُقُكَ ۗnarzuquka
provide (for) you وَٱلْعَـٰقِبَةُwal-ʿāqibatu
and the outcome لِلتَّقْوَىٰlilttaqwā
(is) for the righteous[ness] ١٣٢
١٣٣طه ٢٠:١٣٣
وَقَالُوا۟waqālū
And they say لَوْلَاlawlā
Why not يَأْتِينَاyatīnā
he brings us بِـَٔايَةٍۢbiāyatin
a sign مِّنmin
from رَّبِّهِۦٓ ۚrabbihi
his Lord أَوَلَمْawalam
Has not تَأْتِهِمtatihim
come to them بَيِّنَةُbayyinatu
evidence مَاmā
(of) what فِىfī
(was) in ٱلصُّحُفِl-ṣuḥufi
the Scriptures ٱلْأُولَىٰl-ūlā
the former ١٣٣
And they say لَوْلَاlawlā
Why not يَأْتِينَاyatīnā
he brings us بِـَٔايَةٍۢbiāyatin
a sign مِّنmin
from رَّبِّهِۦٓ ۚrabbihi
his Lord أَوَلَمْawalam
Has not تَأْتِهِمtatihim
come to them بَيِّنَةُbayyinatu
evidence مَاmā
(of) what فِىfī
(was) in ٱلصُّحُفِl-ṣuḥufi
the Scriptures ٱلْأُولَىٰl-ūlā
the former ١٣٣
١٣٤طه ٢٠:١٣٤
وَلَوْwalaw
And if أَنَّآannā
We أَهْلَكْنَـٰهُمahlaknāhum
(had) destroyed them بِعَذَابٍۢbiʿadhābin
with a punishment مِّنmin
before him قَبْلِهِۦqablihi
before him لَقَالُوا۟laqālū
surely they (would) have said رَبَّنَاrabbanā
Our Lord لَوْلَآlawlā
why not أَرْسَلْتَarsalta
You sent إِلَيْنَاilaynā
to us رَسُولًۭاrasūlan
a Messenger فَنَتَّبِعَfanattabiʿa
so we (could) have followed ءَايَـٰتِكَāyātika
Your signs مِنmin
before قَبْلِqabli
before أَنan
[that] نَّذِلَّnadhilla
we were humiliated وَنَخْزَىٰwanakhzā
and disgraced ١٣٤
And if أَنَّآannā
We أَهْلَكْنَـٰهُمahlaknāhum
(had) destroyed them بِعَذَابٍۢbiʿadhābin
with a punishment مِّنmin
before him قَبْلِهِۦqablihi
before him لَقَالُوا۟laqālū
surely they (would) have said رَبَّنَاrabbanā
Our Lord لَوْلَآlawlā
why not أَرْسَلْتَarsalta
You sent إِلَيْنَاilaynā
to us رَسُولًۭاrasūlan
a Messenger فَنَتَّبِعَfanattabiʿa
so we (could) have followed ءَايَـٰتِكَāyātika
Your signs مِنmin
before قَبْلِqabli
before أَنan
[that] نَّذِلَّnadhilla
we were humiliated وَنَخْزَىٰwanakhzā
and disgraced ١٣٤
١٣٥طه ٢٠:١٣٥
قُلْqul
Say كُلٌّۭkullun
Each مُّتَرَبِّصٌۭmutarabbiṣun
(is) waiting فَتَرَبَّصُوا۟ ۖfatarabbaṣū
so await فَسَتَعْلَمُونَfasataʿlamūna
Then you will know مَنْman
who أَصْحَـٰبُaṣḥābu
(are the) companions ٱلصِّرَٰطِl-ṣirāṭi
(of) the way ٱلسَّوِىِّl-sawiyi
[the] even وَمَنِwamani
and who ٱهْتَدَىٰih'tadā
is guided ١٣٥
Say كُلٌّۭkullun
Each مُّتَرَبِّصٌۭmutarabbiṣun
(is) waiting فَتَرَبَّصُوا۟ ۖfatarabbaṣū
so await فَسَتَعْلَمُونَfasataʿlamūna
Then you will know مَنْman
who أَصْحَـٰبُaṣḥābu
(are the) companions ٱلصِّرَٰطِl-ṣirāṭi
(of) the way ٱلسَّوِىِّl-sawiyi
[the] even وَمَنِwamani
and who ٱهْتَدَىٰih'tadā
is guided ١٣٥
