بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
بَلْbal
Nay عَجِبُوٓا۟ʿajibū
they wonder أَنan
that جَآءَهُمjāahum
has come to them مُّنذِرٌۭmundhirun
a warner مِّنْهُمْmin'hum
from them فَقَالَfaqāla
So say ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَl-kāfirūna
the disbelievers هَـٰذَاhādhā
This شَىْءٌshayon
(is) a thing عَجِيبٌʿajībun
amazing ٢
Nay عَجِبُوٓا۟ʿajibū
they wonder أَنan
that جَآءَهُمjāahum
has come to them مُّنذِرٌۭmundhirun
a warner مِّنْهُمْmin'hum
from them فَقَالَfaqāla
So say ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَl-kāfirūna
the disbelievers هَـٰذَاhādhā
This شَىْءٌshayon
(is) a thing عَجِيبٌʿajībun
amazing ٢
أَءِذَاa-idhā
What! When مِتْنَاmit'nā
we die وَكُنَّاwakunnā
and have become تُرَابًۭا ۖturāban
dust ذَٰلِكَdhālika
That رَجْعٌۢrajʿun
(is) a return بَعِيدٌۭbaʿīdun
far ٣
What! When مِتْنَاmit'nā
we die وَكُنَّاwakunnā
and have become تُرَابًۭا ۖturāban
dust ذَٰلِكَdhālika
That رَجْعٌۢrajʿun
(is) a return بَعِيدٌۭbaʿīdun
far ٣
قَدْqad
Certainly عَلِمْنَاʿalim'nā
We know مَاmā
what تَنقُصُtanquṣu
diminishes ٱلْأَرْضُl-arḍu
the earth مِنْهُمْ ۖmin'hum
of them وَعِندَنَاwaʿindanā
and with Us كِتَـٰبٌkitābun
(is) a Book حَفِيظٌۢḥafīẓun
guarded ٤
Certainly عَلِمْنَاʿalim'nā
We know مَاmā
what تَنقُصُtanquṣu
diminishes ٱلْأَرْضُl-arḍu
the earth مِنْهُمْ ۖmin'hum
of them وَعِندَنَاwaʿindanā
and with Us كِتَـٰبٌkitābun
(is) a Book حَفِيظٌۢḥafīẓun
guarded ٤
بَلْbal
Nay كَذَّبُوا۟kadhabū
they denied بِٱلْحَقِّbil-ḥaqi
the truth لَمَّاlammā
when جَآءَهُمْjāahum
it came (to) them فَهُمْfahum
so they فِىٓfī
(are) in أَمْرٍۢamrin
a state مَّرِيجٍmarījin
confused ٥
Nay كَذَّبُوا۟kadhabū
they denied بِٱلْحَقِّbil-ḥaqi
the truth لَمَّاlammā
when جَآءَهُمْjāahum
it came (to) them فَهُمْfahum
so they فِىٓfī
(are) in أَمْرٍۢamrin
a state مَّرِيجٍmarījin
confused ٥
أَفَلَمْafalam
Then do not يَنظُرُوٓا۟yanẓurū
they look إِلَىilā
at ٱلسَّمَآءِl-samāi
the sky فَوْقَهُمْfawqahum
above them كَيْفَkayfa
how بَنَيْنَـٰهَاbanaynāhā
We structured it وَزَيَّنَّـٰهَاwazayyannāhā
and adorned it وَمَاwamā
and not لَهَاlahā
for it مِنmin
any فُرُوجٍۢfurūjin
rifts ٦
Then do not يَنظُرُوٓا۟yanẓurū
they look إِلَىilā
at ٱلسَّمَآءِl-samāi
the sky فَوْقَهُمْfawqahum
above them كَيْفَkayfa
how بَنَيْنَـٰهَاbanaynāhā
We structured it وَزَيَّنَّـٰهَاwazayyannāhā
and adorned it وَمَاwamā
and not لَهَاlahā
for it مِنmin
any فُرُوجٍۢfurūjin
rifts ٦
وَٱلْأَرْضَwal-arḍa
And the earth مَدَدْنَـٰهَاmadadnāhā
We have spread it out وَأَلْقَيْنَاwa-alqaynā
and cast فِيهَاfīhā
therein رَوَٰسِىَrawāsiya
firmly set mountains وَأَنۢبَتْنَاwa-anbatnā
and We made to grow فِيهَاfīhā
therein مِنmin
of كُلِّkulli
every زَوْجٍۭzawjin
kind بَهِيجٍۢbahījin
beautiful ٧
And the earth مَدَدْنَـٰهَاmadadnāhā
We have spread it out وَأَلْقَيْنَاwa-alqaynā
and cast فِيهَاfīhā
therein رَوَٰسِىَrawāsiya
firmly set mountains وَأَنۢبَتْنَاwa-anbatnā
and We made to grow فِيهَاfīhā
therein مِنmin
of كُلِّkulli
every زَوْجٍۭzawjin
kind بَهِيجٍۢbahījin
beautiful ٧
تَبْصِرَةًۭtabṣiratan
Giving insight وَذِكْرَىٰwadhik'rā
and a reminder لِكُلِّlikulli
for every عَبْدٍۢʿabdin
slave مُّنِيبٍۢmunībin
who turns ٨
Giving insight وَذِكْرَىٰwadhik'rā
and a reminder لِكُلِّlikulli
for every عَبْدٍۢʿabdin
slave مُّنِيبٍۢmunībin
who turns ٨
وَنَزَّلْنَاwanazzalnā
And We have sent down مِنَmina
from ٱلسَّمَآءِl-samāi
the sky مَآءًۭmāan
water مُّبَـٰرَكًۭاmubārakan
blessed فَأَنۢبَتْنَاfa-anbatnā
then We made to grow بِهِۦbihi
thereby جَنَّـٰتٍۢjannātin
gardens وَحَبَّwaḥabba
and grain ٱلْحَصِيدِl-ḥaṣīdi
(for) the harvest ٩
And We have sent down مِنَmina
from ٱلسَّمَآءِl-samāi
the sky مَآءًۭmāan
water مُّبَـٰرَكًۭاmubārakan
blessed فَأَنۢبَتْنَاfa-anbatnā
then We made to grow بِهِۦbihi
thereby جَنَّـٰتٍۢjannātin
gardens وَحَبَّwaḥabba
and grain ٱلْحَصِيدِl-ḥaṣīdi
(for) the harvest ٩
١٠ق ٥٠:١٠
وَٱلنَّخْلَwal-nakhla
And the palms trees بَاسِقَـٰتٍۢbāsiqātin
tall لَّهَاlahā
for it طَلْعٌۭṭalʿun
(are) layers نَّضِيدٌۭnaḍīdun
arranged ١٠
And the palms trees بَاسِقَـٰتٍۢbāsiqātin
tall لَّهَاlahā
for it طَلْعٌۭṭalʿun
(are) layers نَّضِيدٌۭnaḍīdun
arranged ١٠
١١ق ٥٠:١١
رِّزْقًۭاriz'qan
A provision لِّلْعِبَادِ ۖlil'ʿibādi
for the slaves وَأَحْيَيْنَاwa-aḥyaynā
and We give life بِهِۦbihi
therewith بَلْدَةًۭbaldatan
(to) a land مَّيْتًۭا ۚmaytan
dead كَذَٰلِكَkadhālika
Thus ٱلْخُرُوجُl-khurūju
(will be) the coming forth ١١
A provision لِّلْعِبَادِ ۖlil'ʿibādi
for the slaves وَأَحْيَيْنَاwa-aḥyaynā
and We give life بِهِۦbihi
therewith بَلْدَةًۭbaldatan
(to) a land مَّيْتًۭا ۚmaytan
dead كَذَٰلِكَkadhālika
Thus ٱلْخُرُوجُl-khurūju
(will be) the coming forth ١١
١٢ق ٥٠:١٢
كَذَّبَتْkadhabat
Denied قَبْلَهُمْqablahum
before them قَوْمُqawmu
(the) people نُوحٍۢnūḥin
(of) Nuh وَأَصْحَـٰبُwa-aṣḥābu
and (the) companions ٱلرَّسِّl-rasi
(of) Ar-Raas وَثَمُودُwathamūdu
and Thamud ١٢
Denied قَبْلَهُمْqablahum
before them قَوْمُqawmu
(the) people نُوحٍۢnūḥin
(of) Nuh وَأَصْحَـٰبُwa-aṣḥābu
and (the) companions ٱلرَّسِّl-rasi
(of) Ar-Raas وَثَمُودُwathamūdu
and Thamud ١٢
١٣ق ٥٠:١٣
وَعَادٌۭwaʿādun
And Aad وَفِرْعَوْنُwafir'ʿawnu
and Firaun وَإِخْوَٰنُwa-ikh'wānu
and (the) brothers لُوطٍۢlūṭin
(of) Lut ١٣
And Aad وَفِرْعَوْنُwafir'ʿawnu
and Firaun وَإِخْوَٰنُwa-ikh'wānu
and (the) brothers لُوطٍۢlūṭin
(of) Lut ١٣
١٤ق ٥٠:١٤
وَأَصْحَـٰبُwa-aṣḥābu
And (the) companions ٱلْأَيْكَةِl-aykati
(of) the wood وَقَوْمُwaqawmu
and (the) people تُبَّعٍۢ ۚtubbaʿin
(of) Tubba كُلٌّۭkullun
All كَذَّبَkadhaba
denied ٱلرُّسُلَl-rusula
the Messengers فَحَقَّfaḥaqqa
so was fulfilled وَعِيدِwaʿīdi
My Threat ١٤
And (the) companions ٱلْأَيْكَةِl-aykati
(of) the wood وَقَوْمُwaqawmu
and (the) people تُبَّعٍۢ ۚtubbaʿin
(of) Tubba كُلٌّۭkullun
All كَذَّبَkadhaba
denied ٱلرُّسُلَl-rusula
the Messengers فَحَقَّfaḥaqqa
so was fulfilled وَعِيدِwaʿīdi
My Threat ١٤
١٥ق ٥٠:١٥
أَفَعَيِينَاafaʿayīnā
Were We then tired بِٱلْخَلْقِbil-khalqi
with the creation ٱلْأَوَّلِ ۚl-awali
the first بَلْbal
Nay هُمْhum
they فِىfī
(are) in لَبْسٍۢlabsin
doubt مِّنْmin
about خَلْقٍۢkhalqin
a creation جَدِيدٍۢjadīdin
new ١٥
Were We then tired بِٱلْخَلْقِbil-khalqi
with the creation ٱلْأَوَّلِ ۚl-awali
the first بَلْbal
Nay هُمْhum
they فِىfī
(are) in لَبْسٍۢlabsin
doubt مِّنْmin
about خَلْقٍۢkhalqin
a creation جَدِيدٍۢjadīdin
new ١٥
١٦ق ٥٠:١٦
وَلَقَدْwalaqad
And certainly خَلَقْنَاkhalaqnā
We created ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَl-insāna
man وَنَعْلَمُwanaʿlamu
and We know مَاmā
what تُوَسْوِسُtuwaswisu
whispers بِهِۦbihi
to him نَفْسُهُۥ ۖnafsuhu
his soul وَنَحْنُwanaḥnu
and We أَقْرَبُaqrabu
(are) nearer إِلَيْهِilayhi
to him مِنْmin
than حَبْلِḥabli
(his) jugular vein ٱلْوَرِيدِl-warīdi
(his) jugular vein ١٦
And certainly خَلَقْنَاkhalaqnā
We created ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَl-insāna
man وَنَعْلَمُwanaʿlamu
and We know مَاmā
what تُوَسْوِسُtuwaswisu
whispers بِهِۦbihi
to him نَفْسُهُۥ ۖnafsuhu
his soul وَنَحْنُwanaḥnu
and We أَقْرَبُaqrabu
(are) nearer إِلَيْهِilayhi
to him مِنْmin
than حَبْلِḥabli
(his) jugular vein ٱلْوَرِيدِl-warīdi
(his) jugular vein ١٦

إِذْidh
When يَتَلَقَّىyatalaqqā
receive ٱلْمُتَلَقِّيَانِl-mutalaqiyāni
the two receivers عَنِʿani
on ٱلْيَمِينِl-yamīni
the right وَعَنِwaʿani
and on ٱلشِّمَالِl-shimāli
the left قَعِيدٌۭqaʿīdun
seated ١٧
When يَتَلَقَّىyatalaqqā
receive ٱلْمُتَلَقِّيَانِl-mutalaqiyāni
the two receivers عَنِʿani
on ٱلْيَمِينِl-yamīni
the right وَعَنِwaʿani
and on ٱلشِّمَالِl-shimāli
the left قَعِيدٌۭqaʿīdun
seated ١٧
١٨ق ٥٠:١٨
مَّاmā
Not يَلْفِظُyalfiẓu
he utters مِنmin
any قَوْلٍqawlin
word إِلَّاillā
but لَدَيْهِladayhi
with him رَقِيبٌraqībun
(is) an observer عَتِيدٌۭʿatīdun
ready ١٨
Not يَلْفِظُyalfiẓu
he utters مِنmin
any قَوْلٍqawlin
word إِلَّاillā
but لَدَيْهِladayhi
with him رَقِيبٌraqībun
(is) an observer عَتِيدٌۭʿatīdun
ready ١٨
١٩ق ٥٠:١٩
وَجَآءَتْwajāat
And will come سَكْرَةُsakratu
(the) stupor ٱلْمَوْتِl-mawti
(of) death بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖbil-ḥaqi
in truth ذَٰلِكَdhālika
That مَاmā
(is) what كُنتَkunta
you were مِنْهُmin'hu
[from it] تَحِيدُtaḥīdu
avoiding ١٩
And will come سَكْرَةُsakratu
(the) stupor ٱلْمَوْتِl-mawti
(of) death بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖbil-ḥaqi
in truth ذَٰلِكَdhālika
That مَاmā
(is) what كُنتَkunta
you were مِنْهُmin'hu
[from it] تَحِيدُtaḥīdu
avoiding ١٩
٢٠ق ٥٠:٢٠
وَنُفِخَwanufikha
And will be blown فِىfī
[in] ٱلصُّورِ ۚl-ṣūri
the trumpet ذَٰلِكَdhālika
That يَوْمُyawmu
(is the) Day ٱلْوَعِيدِl-waʿīdi
(of) the Warning ٢٠
And will be blown فِىfī
[in] ٱلصُّورِ ۚl-ṣūri
the trumpet ذَٰلِكَdhālika
That يَوْمُyawmu
(is the) Day ٱلْوَعِيدِl-waʿīdi
(of) the Warning ٢٠
٢١ق ٥٠:٢١
وَجَآءَتْwajāat
And will come كُلُّkullu
every نَفْسٍۢnafsin
soul مَّعَهَاmaʿahā
with it سَآئِقٌۭsāiqun
a driver وَشَهِيدٌۭwashahīdun
and a witness ٢١
And will come كُلُّkullu
every نَفْسٍۢnafsin
soul مَّعَهَاmaʿahā
with it سَآئِقٌۭsāiqun
a driver وَشَهِيدٌۭwashahīdun
and a witness ٢١
٢٢ق ٥٠:٢٢
لَّقَدْlaqad
Certainly كُنتَkunta
you were فِىfī
in غَفْلَةٍۢghaflatin
heedlessness مِّنْmin
of هَـٰذَاhādhā
this فَكَشَفْنَاfakashafnā
So We have removed عَنكَʿanka
from you غِطَآءَكَghiṭāaka
your cover فَبَصَرُكَfabaṣaruka
so your sight ٱلْيَوْمَl-yawma
today حَدِيدٌۭḥadīdun
(is) sharp ٢٢
Certainly كُنتَkunta
you were فِىfī
in غَفْلَةٍۢghaflatin
heedlessness مِّنْmin
of هَـٰذَاhādhā
this فَكَشَفْنَاfakashafnā
So We have removed عَنكَʿanka
from you غِطَآءَكَghiṭāaka
your cover فَبَصَرُكَfabaṣaruka
so your sight ٱلْيَوْمَl-yawma
today حَدِيدٌۭḥadīdun
(is) sharp ٢٢
٢٣ق ٥٠:٢٣
وَقَالَwaqāla
And (will) say قَرِينُهُۥqarīnuhu
his companion هَـٰذَاhādhā
This مَاmā
(is) what لَدَىَّladayya
(is) with me عَتِيدٌʿatīdun
ready ٢٣
And (will) say قَرِينُهُۥqarīnuhu
his companion هَـٰذَاhādhā
This مَاmā
(is) what لَدَىَّladayya
(is) with me عَتِيدٌʿatīdun
ready ٢٣
٢٤ق ٥٠:٢٤
أَلْقِيَاalqiyā
Throw فِىfī
in (to) جَهَنَّمَjahannama
Hell كُلَّkulla
every كَفَّارٍkaffārin
disbeliever عَنِيدٍۢʿanīdin
stubborn ٢٤
Throw فِىfī
in (to) جَهَنَّمَjahannama
Hell كُلَّkulla
every كَفَّارٍkaffārin
disbeliever عَنِيدٍۢʿanīdin
stubborn ٢٤
٢٥ق ٥٠:٢٥
مَّنَّاعٍۢmannāʿin
Forbidder لِّلْخَيْرِlil'khayri
of good مُعْتَدٍۢmuʿ'tadin
transgressor مُّرِيبٍmurībin
doubter ٢٥
Forbidder لِّلْخَيْرِlil'khayri
of good مُعْتَدٍۢmuʿ'tadin
transgressor مُّرِيبٍmurībin
doubter ٢٥
٢٦ق ٥٠:٢٦
ٱلَّذِىalladhī
Who جَعَلَjaʿala
made مَعَmaʿa
with ٱللَّهِl-lahi
Allah إِلَـٰهًاilāhan
a god ءَاخَرَākhara
another فَأَلْقِيَاهُfa-alqiyāhu
so throw him فِىfī
in(to) ٱلْعَذَابِl-ʿadhābi
the punishment ٱلشَّدِيدِl-shadīdi
the severe ٢٦
Who جَعَلَjaʿala
made مَعَmaʿa
with ٱللَّهِl-lahi
Allah إِلَـٰهًاilāhan
a god ءَاخَرَākhara
another فَأَلْقِيَاهُfa-alqiyāhu
so throw him فِىfī
in(to) ٱلْعَذَابِl-ʿadhābi
the punishment ٱلشَّدِيدِl-shadīdi
the severe ٢٦
٢٧ق ٥٠:٢٧
۞ قَالَqāla
Will say قَرِينُهُۥqarīnuhu
his companion رَبَّنَاrabbanā
Our Lord مَآmā
not أَطْغَيْتُهُۥaṭghaytuhu
I made him transgress وَلَـٰكِنwalākin
but كَانَkāna
he was فِىfī
in ضَلَـٰلٍۭḍalālin
error بَعِيدٍۢbaʿīdin
far ٢٧
Will say قَرِينُهُۥqarīnuhu
his companion رَبَّنَاrabbanā
Our Lord مَآmā
not أَطْغَيْتُهُۥaṭghaytuhu
I made him transgress وَلَـٰكِنwalākin
but كَانَkāna
he was فِىfī
in ضَلَـٰلٍۭḍalālin
error بَعِيدٍۢbaʿīdin
far ٢٧
٢٨ق ٥٠:٢٨
قَالَqāla
He will say لَاlā
(Do) not تَخْتَصِمُوا۟takhtaṣimū
dispute لَدَىَّladayya
(in) My presence وَقَدْwaqad
and indeed قَدَّمْتُqaddamtu
I sent forth إِلَيْكُمilaykum
to you بِٱلْوَعِيدِbil-waʿīdi
the Warning ٢٨
He will say لَاlā
(Do) not تَخْتَصِمُوا۟takhtaṣimū
dispute لَدَىَّladayya
(in) My presence وَقَدْwaqad
and indeed قَدَّمْتُqaddamtu
I sent forth إِلَيْكُمilaykum
to you بِٱلْوَعِيدِbil-waʿīdi
the Warning ٢٨
٢٩ق ٥٠:٢٩
مَاmā
Not يُبَدَّلُyubaddalu
will be changed ٱلْقَوْلُl-qawlu
the word لَدَىَّladayya
with Me وَمَآwamā
and not أَنَا۠anā
I Am بِظَلَّـٰمٍۢbiẓallāmin
unjust لِّلْعَبِيدِlil'ʿabīdi
to My slaves ٢٩
Not يُبَدَّلُyubaddalu
will be changed ٱلْقَوْلُl-qawlu
the word لَدَىَّladayya
with Me وَمَآwamā
and not أَنَا۠anā
I Am بِظَلَّـٰمٍۢbiẓallāmin
unjust لِّلْعَبِيدِlil'ʿabīdi
to My slaves ٢٩
٣٠ق ٥٠:٣٠
يَوْمَyawma
(The) Day نَقُولُnaqūlu
We will say لِجَهَنَّمَlijahannama
to Hell هَلِhali
Are ٱمْتَلَأْتِim'talati
you filled وَتَقُولُwataqūlu
And it will say هَلْhal
Are مِنmin
(there) any مَّزِيدٍۢmazīdin
more ٣٠
(The) Day نَقُولُnaqūlu
We will say لِجَهَنَّمَlijahannama
to Hell هَلِhali
Are ٱمْتَلَأْتِim'talati
you filled وَتَقُولُwataqūlu
And it will say هَلْhal
Are مِنmin
(there) any مَّزِيدٍۢmazīdin
more ٣٠
٣١ق ٥٠:٣١
وَأُزْلِفَتِwa-uz'lifati
And will be brought near ٱلْجَنَّةُl-janatu
the Paradise لِلْمُتَّقِينَlil'muttaqīna
to the righteous غَيْرَghayra
not بَعِيدٍbaʿīdin
far ٣١
And will be brought near ٱلْجَنَّةُl-janatu
the Paradise لِلْمُتَّقِينَlil'muttaqīna

٣٢ق ٥٠:٣٢
هَـٰذَاhādhā
This مَاmā
(is) what تُوعَدُونَtūʿadūna
you were promised لِكُلِّlikulli
for everyone أَوَّابٍawwābin
who turns حَفِيظٍۢḥafīẓin
(and) who keeps ٣٢
This مَاmā

٣٣ق ٥٠:٣٣
مَّنْman
Who خَشِىَkhashiya
feared ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنَl-raḥmāna
the Most Gracious بِٱلْغَيْبِbil-ghaybi
in the unseen وَجَآءَwajāa
and came بِقَلْبٍۢbiqalbin
with a heart مُّنِيبٍmunībin
returning ٣٣
Who خَشِىَkhashiya
feared ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنَl-raḥmāna
the Most Gracious بِٱلْغَيْبِbil-ghaybi
in the unseen وَجَآءَwajāa
and came بِقَلْبٍۢbiqalbin
with a heart مُّنِيبٍmunībin
returning ٣٣
٣٤ق ٥٠:٣٤
ٱدْخُلُوهَاud'khulūhā
Enter it بِسَلَـٰمٍۢ ۖbisalāmin
in peace ذَٰلِكَdhālika
That يَوْمُyawmu
(is) a Day ٱلْخُلُودِl-khulūdi
(of) Eternity ٣٤
Enter it بِسَلَـٰمٍۢ ۖbisalāmin
in peace ذَٰلِكَdhālika
That يَوْمُyawmu
(is) a Day ٱلْخُلُودِl-khulūdi
(of) Eternity ٣٤
٣٥ق ٥٠:٣٥
لَهُمlahum
For them مَّاmā
whatever يَشَآءُونَyashāūna
they wish فِيهَاfīhā
therein وَلَدَيْنَاwaladaynā
and with Us مَزِيدٌۭmazīdun
(is) more ٣٥
For them مَّاmā
whatever يَشَآءُونَyashāūna
they wish فِيهَاfīhā
therein وَلَدَيْنَاwaladaynā
and with Us مَزِيدٌۭmazīdun
(is) more ٣٥
٣٦ق ٥٠:٣٦
وَكَمْwakam
And how many أَهْلَكْنَاahlaknā
We destroyed قَبْلَهُمqablahum
before them مِّنmin
of قَرْنٍqarnin
a generation هُمْhum
they أَشَدُّashaddu
(were) stronger مِنْهُمmin'hum
than them بَطْشًۭاbaṭshan
(in) power فَنَقَّبُوا۟fanaqqabū
so they explored فِىfī
throughout ٱلْبِلَـٰدِl-bilādi
the lands هَلْhal
Is (there) مِنmin
any مَّحِيصٍmaḥīṣin
place of escape ٣٦
And how many أَهْلَكْنَاahlaknā
We destroyed قَبْلَهُمqablahum
before them مِّنmin
of قَرْنٍqarnin
a generation هُمْhum
they أَشَدُّashaddu
(were) stronger مِنْهُمmin'hum
than them بَطْشًۭاbaṭshan
(in) power فَنَقَّبُوا۟fanaqqabū

إِنَّinna
Indeed فِىfī
in ذَٰلِكَdhālika
that لَذِكْرَىٰladhik'rā
surely, is a reminder لِمَنliman
for (one) who كَانَkāna
is لَهُۥlahu
for him قَلْبٌqalbun
a heart أَوْaw
or أَلْقَىalqā
(who) gives ear ٱلسَّمْعَl-samʿa
(who) gives ear وَهُوَwahuwa
while he شَهِيدٌۭshahīdun
(is) a witness ٣٧
Indeed فِىfī
in ذَٰلِكَdhālika
that لَذِكْرَىٰladhik'rā

وَلَقَدْwalaqad
And certainly خَلَقْنَاkhalaqnā
We created ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwāti
the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَwal-arḍa
and the earth وَمَاwamā
and whatever بَيْنَهُمَاbaynahumā
(is) between both of them فِىfī
in سِتَّةِsittati
six أَيَّامٍۢayyāmin
periods وَمَاwamā
and (did) not مَسَّنَاmassanā
touch Us مِنmin
any لُّغُوبٍۢlughūbin
fatigue ٣٨
And certainly خَلَقْنَاkhalaqnā
We created ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwāti
the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَwal-arḍa
and the earth وَمَاwamā
and whatever بَيْنَهُمَاbaynahumā
(is) between both of them فِىfī
in سِتَّةِsittati
six أَيَّامٍۢayyāmin
periods وَمَاwamā
and (did) not مَسَّنَاmassanā
touch Us مِنmin
any لُّغُوبٍۢlughūbin
fatigue ٣٨
٣٩ق ٥٠:٣٩
فَٱصْبِرْfa-iṣ'bir
So be patient عَلَىٰʿalā
over مَاmā
what يَقُولُونَyaqūlūna
they say وَسَبِّحْwasabbiḥ
and glorify بِحَمْدِbiḥamdi
(the) praise رَبِّكَrabbika
(of) your Lord قَبْلَqabla
before طُلُوعِṭulūʿi
(the) rising ٱلشَّمْسِl-shamsi
(of) the sun وَقَبْلَwaqabla
and before ٱلْغُرُوبِl-ghurūbi
the setting ٣٩
So be patient عَلَىٰʿalā
over مَاmā
what يَقُولُونَyaqūlūna
they say وَسَبِّحْwasabbiḥ
and glorify بِحَمْدِbiḥamdi
(the) praise رَبِّكَrabbika
(of) your Lord قَبْلَqabla
before طُلُوعِṭulūʿi
(the) rising ٱلشَّمْسِl-shamsi
(of) the sun وَقَبْلَwaqabla
and before ٱلْغُرُوبِl-ghurūbi

٤٠ق ٥٠:٤٠
وَمِنَwamina
And of ٱلَّيْلِal-layli
the night فَسَبِّحْهُfasabbiḥ'hu
glorify Him وَأَدْبَـٰرَwa-adbāra
and after ٱلسُّجُودِl-sujūdi
the prostration ٤٠
And of ٱلَّيْلِal-layli
the night فَسَبِّحْهُfasabbiḥ'hu
glorify Him وَأَدْبَـٰرَwa-adbāra
and after ٱلسُّجُودِl-sujūdi
the prostration ٤٠
٤١ق ٥٠:٤١
وَٱسْتَمِعْwa-is'tamiʿ
And listen يَوْمَyawma
(The) Day يُنَادِyunādi
will call ٱلْمُنَادِl-munādi
the caller مِنmin
from مَّكَانٍۢmakānin
a place قَرِيبٍۢqarībin
near ٤١
And listen يَوْمَyawma
(The) Day يُنَادِyunādi
will call ٱلْمُنَادِl-munādi
the caller مِنmin
from مَّكَانٍۢmakānin
a place قَرِيبٍۢqarībin
near ٤١
٤٢ق ٥٠:٤٢
يَوْمَyawma
(The) Day يَسْمَعُونَyasmaʿūna
they will hear ٱلصَّيْحَةَl-ṣayḥata
the Blast بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚbil-ḥaqi
in truth ذَٰلِكَdhālika
That يَوْمُyawmu
(is the) Day ٱلْخُرُوجِl-khurūji
(of) coming forth ٤٢
(The) Day يَسْمَعُونَyasmaʿūna
they will hear ٱلصَّيْحَةَl-ṣayḥata
the Blast بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚbil-ḥaqi
in truth ذَٰلِكَdhālika
That يَوْمُyawmu
(is the) Day ٱلْخُرُوجِl-khurūji

and to Us ٱلْمَصِيرُl-maṣīru
(is) the final return ٤٣
٤٤ق ٥٠:٤٤
يَوْمَyawma
(The) Day تَشَقَّقُtashaqqaqu
will split ٱلْأَرْضُl-arḍu
the earth عَنْهُمْʿanhum
from them سِرَاعًۭا ۚsirāʿan
hurrying ذَٰلِكَdhālika
That حَشْرٌḥashrun
(is) a gathering عَلَيْنَاʿalaynā
for Us يَسِيرٌۭyasīrun
easy ٤٤
(The) Day تَشَقَّقُtashaqqaqu
will split ٱلْأَرْضُl-arḍu
the earth عَنْهُمْʿanhum
from them سِرَاعًۭا ۚsirāʿan
hurrying ذَٰلِكَdhālika
That حَشْرٌḥashrun
(is) a gathering عَلَيْنَاʿalaynā
for Us يَسِيرٌۭyasīrun
easy ٤٤
٤٥ق ٥٠:٤٥
نَّحْنُnaḥnu
We أَعْلَمُaʿlamu
know best بِمَاbimā
[of] what يَقُولُونَ ۖyaqūlūna
they say وَمَآwamā
and not أَنتَanta
(are) you عَلَيْهِمʿalayhim
over them بِجَبَّارٍۢ ۖbijabbārin
the one to compel فَذَكِّرْfadhakkir
But remind بِٱلْقُرْءَانِbil-qur'āni
with the Quran مَنman
whoever يَخَافُyakhāfu
fears وَعِيدِwaʿīdi
My threat ٤٥
We أَعْلَمُaʿlamu
know best بِمَاbimā
[of] what يَقُولُونَ ۖyaqūlūna
they say وَمَآwamā
and not أَنتَanta
(are) you عَلَيْهِمʿalayhim
