قَدْqad Indeedسَمِعَsamiʿa Allah has heardٱللَّهُl-lahu Allah has heardقَوْلَqawla (the) speechٱلَّتِىallatī (of one) whoتُجَـٰدِلُكَtujādiluka disputes with youفِىfī concerningزَوْجِهَاzawjihā her husbandوَتَشْتَكِىٓwatashtakī and she directs her complaintإِلَىilā toٱللَّهِl-lahi Allahوَٱللَّهُwal-lahu And Allahيَسْمَعُyasmaʿu hearsتَحَاوُرَكُمَآ ۚtaḥāwurakumā (the) dialogue of both of youإِنَّinna Indeedٱللَّهَl-laha Allahسَمِيعٌۢsamīʿun (is) All-Hearerبَصِيرٌbaṣīrun All-Seer١
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna Those whoيُظَـٰهِرُونَyuẓāhirūna pronounce ziharمِنكُمminkum among youمِّنmin [from]نِّسَآئِهِمnisāihim (to) their wivesمَّاmā notهُنَّhunna theyأُمَّهَـٰتِهِمْ ۖummahātihim (are) their mothersإِنْin Notأُمَّهَـٰتُهُمْummahātuhum (are) their mothersإِلَّاillā exceptٱلَّـٰٓـِٔىallāī those whoوَلَدْنَهُمْ ۚwaladnahum gave them birthوَإِنَّهُمْwa-innahum And indeed, theyلَيَقُولُونَlayaqūlūna surely sayمُنكَرًۭاmunkaran an evilمِّنَmina [of]ٱلْقَوْلِl-qawli [the] wordوَزُورًۭا ۚwazūran and a lieوَإِنَّwa-inna But indeedٱللَّهَl-laha Allahلَعَفُوٌّlaʿafuwwun (is) surely, Oft-Pardoningغَفُورٌۭghafūrun Oft-Forgiving٢
وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīna And those whoيُظَـٰهِرُونَyuẓāhirūna pronounce ziharمِنmin [from]نِّسَآئِهِمْnisāihim (to) their wivesثُمَّthumma thenيَعُودُونَyaʿūdūna go backلِمَاlimā on whatقَالُوا۟qālū they saidفَتَحْرِيرُfataḥrīru then freeingرَقَبَةٍۢraqabatin (of) a slaveمِّنmin beforeقَبْلِqabli beforeأَنan [that]يَتَمَآسَّا ۚyatamāssā they touch each otherذَٰلِكُمْdhālikum Thatتُوعَظُونَtūʿaẓūna you are admonishedبِهِۦ ۚbihi to itوَٱللَّهُwal-lahu And Allahبِمَاbimā of whatتَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūna you doخَبِيرٌۭkhabīrun (is) All-Aware٣
فَمَنfaman Then whoeverلَّمْlam (does) notيَجِدْyajid findفَصِيَامُfaṣiyāmu then fastingشَهْرَيْنِshahrayni (for) two monthsمُتَتَابِعَيْنِmutatābiʿayni consecutivelyمِنmin beforeقَبْلِqabli beforeأَنan [that]يَتَمَآسَّا ۖyatamāssā they both touch each otherفَمَنfaman But (he) whoلَّمْlam notيَسْتَطِعْyastaṭiʿ is ableفَإِطْعَامُfa-iṭ'ʿāmu then (the) feedingسِتِّينَsittīna (of) sixtyمِسْكِينًۭا ۚmis'kīnan needy one(s)ذَٰلِكَdhālika That لِتُؤْمِنُوا۟litu'minū so that you may believeبِٱللَّهِbil-lahi in Allahوَرَسُولِهِۦ ۚwarasūlihi and His Messengerوَتِلْكَwatil'ka and theseحُدُودُḥudūdu (are the) limitsٱللَّهِ ۗl-lahi (of) Allahوَلِلْكَـٰفِرِينَwalil'kāfirīna and for the disbelieversعَذَابٌʿadhābun (is) a punishmentأَلِيمٌalīmun painful٤
إِنَّinna Indeedٱلَّذِينَalladhīna those whoيُحَآدُّونَyuḥāddūna opposeٱللَّهَl-laha Allahوَرَسُولَهُۥwarasūlahu and His Messengerكُبِتُوا۟kubitū (will) be disgracedكَمَاkamā asكُبِتَkubita were disgracedٱلَّذِينَalladhīna thoseمِنmin before themقَبْلِهِمْ ۚqablihim before themوَقَدْwaqad And certainlyأَنزَلْنَآanzalnā We have sent downءَايَـٰتٍۭāyātin Versesبَيِّنَـٰتٍۢ ۚbayyinātin clearوَلِلْكَـٰفِرِينَwalil'kāfirīna And for the disbelieversعَذَابٌۭʿadhābun (is) a punishmentمُّهِينٌۭmuhīnun humiliating٥
يَوْمَyawma (On the) Dayيَبْعَثُهُمُyabʿathuhumu (when) Allah will raise themٱللَّهُl-lahu (when) Allah will raise themجَمِيعًۭاjamīʿan allفَيُنَبِّئُهُمfayunabbi-uhum and inform themبِمَاbimā of whatعَمِلُوٓا۟ ۚʿamilū they didأَحْصَىٰهُaḥṣāhu Allah has recorded itٱللَّهُl-lahu Allah has recorded itوَنَسُوهُ ۚwanasūhu while they forgot itوَٱللَّهُwal-lahu And Allahعَلَىٰʿalā (is) overكُلِّkulli allشَىْءٍۢshayin thingsشَهِيدٌshahīdun a Witness٦
أَلَمْalam Do notتَرَtara you seeأَنَّanna thatٱللَّهَl-laha Allahيَعْلَمُyaʿlamu knowsمَاmā whateverفِىfī (is) inٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwāti the heavensوَمَاwamā and whateverفِىfī (is) inٱلْأَرْضِ ۖl-arḍi the earthمَاmā Notيَكُونُyakūnu there isمِنmin anyنَّجْوَىٰnajwā secret counselثَلَـٰثَةٍthalāthatin (of) threeإِلَّاillā butهُوَhuwa He (is)رَابِعُهُمْrābiʿuhum (the) fourth of themوَلَاwalā and notخَمْسَةٍkhamsatin fiveإِلَّاillā butهُوَhuwa He (is)سَادِسُهُمْsādisuhum (the) sixth of themوَلَآwalā and notأَدْنَىٰadnā lessمِنmin thanذَٰلِكَdhālika thatوَلَآwalā and notأَكْثَرَakthara moreإِلَّاillā butهُوَhuwa Heمَعَهُمْmaʿahum (is) with themأَيْنَayna whereverمَاmā whereverكَانُوا۟ ۖkānū they areثُمَّthumma Thenيُنَبِّئُهُمyunabbi-uhum He will inform themبِمَاbimā of whatعَمِلُوا۟ʿamilū they didيَوْمَyawma (on the) Dayٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۚl-qiyāmati (of) the Resurrectionإِنَّinna Indeedٱللَّهَl-laha Allahبِكُلِّbikulli of everyشَىْءٍshayin thingعَلِيمٌʿalīmun (is) All-Knower٧
أَلَمْalam Do notتَرَtara you seeإِلَىilā [to]ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna those whoنُهُوا۟nuhū were forbiddenعَنِʿani fromٱلنَّجْوَىٰl-najwā secret counselsثُمَّthumma thenيَعُودُونَyaʿūdūna they returnلِمَاlimā to whatنُهُوا۟nuhū they were forbiddenعَنْهُʿanhu from [it]وَيَتَنَـٰجَوْنَwayatanājawna and they hold secret counselsبِٱلْإِثْمِbil-ith'mi for sinوَٱلْعُدْوَٰنِwal-ʿud'wāni and aggressionوَمَعْصِيَتِwamaʿṣiyati and disobedienceٱلرَّسُولِl-rasūli (to) the Messengerوَإِذَاwa-idhā And whenجَآءُوكَjāūka they come to youحَيَّوْكَḥayyawka they greet youبِمَاbimā with whatلَمْlam notيُحَيِّكَyuḥayyika greets youبِهِbihi therewithٱللَّهُl-lahu Allahوَيَقُولُونَwayaqūlūna and they sayفِىٓfī amongأَنفُسِهِمْanfusihim themselvesلَوْلَاlawlā Why (does) notيُعَذِّبُنَاyuʿadhibunā Allah punish usٱللَّهُl-lahu Allah punish usبِمَاbimā for whatنَقُولُ ۚnaqūlu we sayحَسْبُهُمْḥasbuhum Sufficient (for) themجَهَنَّمُjahannamu (is) Hellيَصْلَوْنَهَا ۖyaṣlawnahā they will burn in itفَبِئْسَfabi'sa and worst isٱلْمَصِيرُl-maṣīru the destination٨
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاyāayyuhā O you who believeٱلَّذِينَalladhīna O you who believeءَامَنُوٓا۟āmanū O you who believeإِذَاidhā Whenتَنَـٰجَيْتُمْtanājaytum you hold secret counselفَلَاfalā then (do) notتَتَنَـٰجَوْا۟tatanājaw hold secret counselبِٱلْإِثْمِbil-ith'mi for sinوَٱلْعُدْوَٰنِwal-ʿud'wāni and aggressionوَمَعْصِيَتِwamaʿṣiyati and disobedienceٱلرَّسُولِl-rasūli (to) the Messengerوَتَنَـٰجَوْا۟watanājaw but hold secret counselبِٱلْبِرِّbil-biri for righteousnessوَٱلتَّقْوَىٰ ۖwal-taqwā and pietyوَٱتَّقُوا۟wa-ittaqū And fearٱللَّهَl-laha Allahٱلَّذِىٓalladhī the One Whoإِلَيْهِilayhi to Himتُحْشَرُونَtuḥ'sharūna you will be gathered٩
إِنَّمَاinnamā Onlyٱلنَّجْوَىٰl-najwā the secret counselsمِنَmina (are) fromٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِl-shayṭāni the Shaitaanلِيَحْزُنَliyaḥzuna that he may grieveٱلَّذِينَalladhīna those whoءَامَنُوا۟āmanū believeوَلَيْسَwalaysa but notبِضَآرِّهِمْbiḍārrihim he (can) harm themشَيْـًٔاshayan (in) anythingإِلَّاillā exceptبِإِذْنِbi-idh'ni by Allah's permissionٱللَّهِ ۚl-lahi by Allah's permissionوَعَلَىwaʿalā And uponٱللَّهِl-lahi Allahفَلْيَتَوَكَّلِfalyatawakkali let put (their) trustٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَl-mu'minūna the believers١٠
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاyāayyuhā O you who believeٱلَّذِينَalladhīna O you who believeءَامَنُوٓا۟āmanū O you who believeإِذَاidhā Whenقِيلَqīla it is saidلَكُمْlakum to youتَفَسَّحُوا۟tafassaḥū Make roomفِىfī inٱلْمَجَـٰلِسِl-majālisi the assembliesفَٱفْسَحُوا۟fa-if'saḥū then make roomيَفْسَحِyafsaḥi Allah will make roomٱللَّهُl-lahu Allah will make roomلَكُمْ ۖlakum for youوَإِذَاwa-idhā And whenقِيلَqīla it is saidٱنشُزُوا۟unshuzū Rise upفَٱنشُزُوا۟fa-unshuzū then rise upيَرْفَعِyarfaʿi Allah will raiseٱللَّهُl-lahu Allah will raiseٱلَّذِينَalladhīna those whoءَامَنُوا۟āmanū believeمِنكُمْminkum among youوَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīna and those whoأُوتُوا۟ūtū were givenٱلْعِلْمَl-ʿil'ma the knowledgeدَرَجَـٰتٍۢ ۚdarajātin (in) degreesوَٱللَّهُwal-lahu And Allahبِمَاbimā of whatتَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūna you doخَبِيرٌۭkhabīrun (is) All-Aware١١
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاyāayyuhā O you who believeٱلَّذِينَalladhīna O you who believeءَامَنُوٓا۟āmanū O you who believeإِذَاidhā Whenنَـٰجَيْتُمُnājaytumu you privately consultٱلرَّسُولَl-rasūla the Messengerفَقَدِّمُوا۟faqaddimū then offerبَيْنَbayna beforeيَدَىْyaday beforeنَجْوَىٰكُمْnajwākum your private consultationصَدَقَةًۭ ۚṣadaqatan charityذَٰلِكَdhālika Thatخَيْرٌۭkhayrun (is) betterلَّكُمْlakum for youوَأَطْهَرُ ۚwa-aṭharu and purerفَإِنfa-in But ifلَّمْlam notتَجِدُوا۟tajidū you findفَإِنَّfa-inna then indeedٱللَّهَl-laha Allahغَفُورٌۭghafūrun (is) Oft-Forgivingرَّحِيمٌraḥīmun Most Merciful١٢
ءَأَشْفَقْتُمْa-ashfaqtum Are you afraidأَنan toتُقَدِّمُوا۟tuqaddimū offerبَيْنَbayna beforeيَدَىْyaday beforeنَجْوَىٰكُمْnajwākum your private consultationصَدَقَـٰتٍۢ ۚṣadaqātin charitiesفَإِذْfa-idh Then whenلَمْlam you do notتَفْعَلُوا۟tafʿalū you do notوَتَابَwatāba and Allah has forgivenٱللَّهُl-lahu and Allah has forgivenعَلَيْكُمْʿalaykum youفَأَقِيمُوا۟fa-aqīmū then establishٱلصَّلَوٰةَl-ṣalata the prayerوَءَاتُوا۟waātū and giveٱلزَّكَوٰةَl-zakata the zakahوَأَطِيعُوا۟wa-aṭīʿū and obeyٱللَّهَl-laha Allahوَرَسُولَهُۥ ۚwarasūlahu and His Messengerوَٱللَّهُwal-lahu And Allahخَبِيرٌۢkhabīrun (is) All-Awareبِمَاbimā of whatتَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūna you do١٣
۞ أَلَمْalam Do notتَرَtara you seeإِلَىilā [to]ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna those whoتَوَلَّوْا۟tawallaw take as alliesقَوْمًاqawman a peopleغَضِبَghaḍiba wrathٱللَّهُl-lahu (of) Allahعَلَيْهِمʿalayhim (is) upon themمَّاmā They (are) notهُمhum They (are) notمِّنكُمْminkum of youوَلَاwalā and notمِنْهُمْmin'hum of themوَيَحْلِفُونَwayaḥlifūna and they swearعَلَىʿalā toٱلْكَذِبِl-kadhibi the lieوَهُمْwahum while theyيَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūna know١٤
أَعَدَّaʿadda Allah has preparedٱللَّهُl-lahu Allah has preparedلَهُمْlahum for themعَذَابًۭاʿadhāban a punishmentشَدِيدًا ۖshadīdan severeإِنَّهُمْinnahum Indeed, [they]سَآءَsāa evil isمَاmā whatكَانُوا۟kānū they used toيَعْمَلُونَyaʿmalūna do١٥
ٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟ittakhadhū They have takenأَيْمَـٰنَهُمْaymānahum their oathsجُنَّةًۭjunnatan (as) a coverفَصَدُّوا۟faṣaddū so they hinderعَنʿan fromسَبِيلِsabīli (the) way of Allahٱللَّهِl-lahi (the) way of Allahفَلَهُمْfalahum so for themعَذَابٌۭʿadhābun (is) a punishmentمُّهِينٌۭmuhīnun humiliating١٦
لَّنlan Neverتُغْنِىَtugh'niya will availعَنْهُمْʿanhum themأَمْوَٰلُهُمْamwāluhum their wealthوَلَآwalā and notأَوْلَـٰدُهُمawlāduhum their childrenمِّنَmina againstٱللَّهِl-lahi Allahشَيْـًٔا ۚshayan (in) anythingأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāika Thoseأَصْحَـٰبُaṣḥābu (will be) companionsٱلنَّارِ ۖl-nāri (of) the Fireهُمْhum theyفِيهَاfīhā in itخَـٰلِدُونَkhālidūna will abide forever١٧
يَوْمَyawma (On the) Dayيَبْعَثُهُمُyabʿathuhumu Allah will raise themٱللَّهُl-lahu Allah will raise themجَمِيعًۭاjamīʿan allفَيَحْلِفُونَfayaḥlifūna then they will swearلَهُۥlahu to Himكَمَاkamā asيَحْلِفُونَyaḥlifūna they swearلَكُمْ ۖlakum to youوَيَحْسَبُونَwayaḥsabūna And they thinkأَنَّهُمْannahum that theyعَلَىٰʿalā (are) onشَىْءٍ ۚshayin somethingأَلَآalā No doubtإِنَّهُمْinnahum Indeed, theyهُمُhumu [they]ٱلْكَـٰذِبُونَl-kādhibūna (are) the liars١٨
ٱسْتَحْوَذَis'taḥwadha Has overcomeعَلَيْهِمُʿalayhimu themٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُl-shayṭānu the Shaitaanفَأَنسَىٰهُمْfa-ansāhum so he made them forgetذِكْرَdhik'ra (the) remembranceٱللَّهِ ۚl-lahi (of) Allahأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāika Thoseحِزْبُḥiz'bu (are the) partyٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ ۚl-shayṭāni (of) the Shaitaanأَلَآalā No doubtإِنَّinna Indeedحِزْبَḥiz'ba (the) partyٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِl-shayṭāni (of) the Shaitaanهُمُhumu theyٱلْخَـٰسِرُونَl-khāsirūna (will be) the losers١٩
إِنَّinna Indeedٱلَّذِينَalladhīna those whoيُحَآدُّونَyuḥāddūna opposeٱللَّهَl-laha Allahوَرَسُولَهُۥٓwarasūlahu and His Messengerأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāika thoseفِىfī (will be) amongٱلْأَذَلِّينَl-adhalīna the most humiliated٢٠
كَتَبَkataba Allah has decreedٱللَّهُl-lahu Allah has decreedلَأَغْلِبَنَّla-aghlibanna Surely, I will overcomeأَنَا۠anā Iوَرُسُلِىٓ ۚwarusulī and My Messengersإِنَّinna Indeedٱللَّهَl-laha Allahقَوِىٌّqawiyyun (is) All-Strongعَزِيزٌۭʿazīzun All-Mighty٢١
لَّاlā You will not findتَجِدُtajidu You will not findقَوْمًۭاqawman a peopleيُؤْمِنُونَyu'minūna who believeبِٱللَّهِbil-lahi in Allahوَٱلْيَوْمِwal-yawmi and the Dayٱلْـَٔاخِرِl-ākhiri the Lastيُوَآدُّونَyuwāddūna lovingمَنْman (those) whoحَآدَّḥādda opposeٱللَّهَl-laha Allahوَرَسُولَهُۥwarasūlahu and His Messengerوَلَوْwalaw even ifكَانُوٓا۟kānū they wereءَابَآءَهُمْābāahum their fathersأَوْaw orأَبْنَآءَهُمْabnāahum their sonsأَوْaw orإِخْوَٰنَهُمْikh'wānahum their brothersأَوْaw orعَشِيرَتَهُمْ ۚʿashīratahum their kindredأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāika Those كَتَبَkataba He has decreedفِىfī withinقُلُوبِهِمُqulūbihimu their heartsٱلْإِيمَـٰنَl-īmāna faithوَأَيَّدَهُمwa-ayyadahum and supported themبِرُوحٍۢbirūḥin with a spiritمِّنْهُ ۖmin'hu from Himوَيُدْخِلُهُمْwayud'khiluhum And He will admit themجَنَّـٰتٍۢjannātin (to) Gardensتَجْرِىtajrī flowمِنmin fromتَحْتِهَاtaḥtihā underneath itٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُl-anhāru the riversخَـٰلِدِينَkhālidīna will abide foreverفِيهَا ۚfīhā in itرَضِىَraḍiya Allah is pleasedٱللَّهُl-lahu Allah is pleasedعَنْهُمْʿanhum with themوَرَضُوا۟waraḍū and they are pleasedعَنْهُ ۚʿanhu with Himأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāika Thoseحِزْبُḥiz'bu (are the) partyٱللَّهِ ۚl-lahi (of) Allahأَلَآalā No doubtإِنَّinna Indeedحِزْبَḥiz'ba (the) partyٱللَّهِl-lahi (of) Allahهُمُhumu theyٱلْمُفْلِحُونَl-muf'liḥūna (are) the successful ones٢٢
