وَٱلْجِبَالَwal-jibāla
And the mountains أَوْتَادًۭاawtādan

وَخَلَقْنَـٰكُمْwakhalaqnākum
And We created you أَزْوَٰجًۭاazwājan
(in) pairs ٨

وَجَعَلْنَاwajaʿalnā
And We made نَوْمَكُمْnawmakum
your sleep سُبَاتًۭاsubātan
(for) rest ٩

وَجَعَلْنَاwajaʿalnā
And We made ٱلَّيْلَal-layla
the night لِبَاسًۭاlibāsan
(as) covering ١٠

And We made ٱلنَّهَارَl-nahāra
the day مَعَاشًۭاmaʿāshan
(for) livelihood ١١

وَبَنَيْنَاwabanaynā
And We constructed فَوْقَكُمْfawqakum
over you سَبْعًۭاsabʿan
seven شِدَادًۭاshidādan

وَجَعَلْنَاwajaʿalnā
And We placed سِرَاجًۭاsirājan

وَأَنزَلْنَاwa-anzalnā
And We sent down مِنَmina
from ٱلْمُعْصِرَٰتِl-muʿ'ṣirāti

water ثَجَّاجًۭاthajjājan
pouring abundantly ١٤

لِّنُخْرِجَlinukh'rija
That We may bring forth بِهِۦbihi

and vegetation ١٥

وَجَنَّـٰتٍwajannātin
And gardens أَلْفَافًاalfāfan
(of) thick foliage ١٦

Indeed يَوْمَyawma
(the) Day ٱلْفَصْلِl-faṣli
(of) the Judgment كَانَkāna
is مِيقَـٰتًۭاmīqātan
an appointed time ١٧

(The) Day يُنفَخُyunfakhu
(in which) shall be blown فِىfī
in ٱلصُّورِl-ṣūri
the trumpet فَتَأْتُونَfatatūna
and you will come forth أَفْوَاجًۭاafwājan
(in) crowds ١٨

وَفُتِحَتِwafutiḥati
And is opened ٱلسَّمَآءُl-samāu
the heaven فَكَانَتْfakānat
and becomes أَبْوَٰبًۭاabwāban
gateways ١٩
And is opened ٱلسَّمَآءُl-samāu

and becomes أَبْوَٰبًۭاabwāban
gateways ١٩
وَسُيِّرَتِwasuyyirati
And are moved ٱلْجِبَالُl-jibālu
the mountains فَكَانَتْfakānat
and become سَرَابًاsarāban
a mirage ٢٠
And are moved ٱلْجِبَالُl-jibālu
the mountains فَكَانَتْfakānat
and become سَرَابًاsarāban
a mirage ٢٠
إِنَّinna
Indeed جَهَنَّمَjahannama
Hell كَانَتْkānat
is مِرْصَادًۭاmir'ṣādan
lying in wait ٢١
Indeed جَهَنَّمَjahannama

lying in wait ٢١
لِّلطَّـٰغِينَlilṭṭāghīna
For the transgressors مَـَٔابًۭاmaāban
a place of return ٢٢

لَّـٰبِثِينَlābithīna
(They will) be remaining فِيهَآfīhā
therein أَحْقَابًۭاaḥqāban
(for) ages ٢٣

لَّاlā
Not يَذُوقُونَyadhūqūna
they will taste فِيهَاfīhā
therein بَرْدًۭاbardan

إِلَّاillā
Except حَمِيمًۭاḥamīman
scalding water وَغَسَّاقًۭاwaghassāqan
and purulence ٢٥

جَزَآءًۭjazāan
A recompense وِفَاقًاwifāqan
appropriate ٢٦

Indeed, they كَانُوا۟kānū
were لَاlā
not يَرْجُونَyarjūna
expecting حِسَابًۭاḥisāban
an account ٢٧

expecting حِسَابًۭاḥisāban
an account ٢٧
وَكَذَّبُوا۟wakadhabū
And they denied بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَاbiāyātinā
Our Signs كِذَّابًۭاkidhāban
(with) denial ٢٨

وَكُلَّwakulla
And every شَىْءٍshayin
thing أَحْصَيْنَـٰهُaḥṣaynāhu
We have enumerated it كِتَـٰبًۭاkitāban
(in) a Book ٢٩
And every شَىْءٍshayin

(in) a Book ٢٩
فَذُوقُوا۟fadhūqū
So taste فَلَنfalan
and never نَّزِيدَكُمْnazīdakum
We will increase you إِلَّاillā
except عَذَابًاʿadhāban
(in) punishment ٣٠

Indeed لِلْمُتَّقِينَlil'muttaqīna
for the righteous مَفَازًاmafāzan
(is) success ٣١

حَدَآئِقَḥadāiqa
Gardens وَأَعْنَـٰبًۭاwa-aʿnāban
and grapevines ٣٢

وَكَوَاعِبَwakawāʿiba
And splendid companions أَتْرَابًۭاatrāban
well-matched ٣٣

And a cup دِهَاقًۭاdihāqan
full ٣٤

Not يَسْمَعُونَyasmaʿūna
they will hear فِيهَاfīhā
therein لَغْوًۭاlaghwan
any vain talk وَلَاwalā
and not كِذَّٰبًۭاkidhāban
any falsehood ٣٥

جَزَآءًۭjazāan
(As) a reward مِّنmin
from رَّبِّكَrabbika
your Lord عَطَآءًʿaṭāan
a gift حِسَابًۭاḥisāban
(according to) account ٣٦

رَّبِّrabbi
Lord ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwāti

and whatever بَيْنَهُمَاbaynahumā
(is) between both of them ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ۖl-raḥmāni
the Most Gracious لَاlā
not يَمْلِكُونَyamlikūna
they have power مِنْهُmin'hu
from Him خِطَابًۭاkhiṭāban
(to) address ٣٧
Lord ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwāti
(of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِwal-arḍi

the True فَمَنfaman

wills ٱتَّخَذَittakhadha
let him take إِلَىٰilā
towards رَبِّهِۦrabbihi
his Lord مَـَٔابًاmaāban
a return ٣٩

Indeed We أَنذَرْنَـٰكُمْandharnākum
[We] have warned you عَذَابًۭاʿadhāban
(of) a punishment قَرِيبًۭاqarīban
near يَوْمَyawma
(the) Day يَنظُرُyanẓuru
will see ٱلْمَرْءُl-maru
the man مَاmā
what قَدَّمَتْqaddamat
have sent forth يَدَاهُyadāhu
his hands وَيَقُولُwayaqūlu
and will say ٱلْكَافِرُl-kāfiru
the disbeliever يَـٰلَيْتَنِىyālaytanī
O I wish كُنتُkuntu
I were تُرَٰبًۢاturāban
dust ٤٠
Indeed We أَنذَرْنَـٰكُمْandharnākum
[We] have warned you عَذَابًۭاʿadhāban
(of) a punishment قَرِيبًۭاqarīban
near يَوْمَyawma
(the) Day يَنظُرُyanẓuru
will see ٱلْمَرْءُl-maru
