About

About AMAADOR ISLAM & our sources

AMAADOR ISLAM (baby-steps-islam.com) is a free, gentle guide for new Muslims and anyone curious, made by Youssef AMAADOR in Morocco. It is a personal project, not a fatwa service: for rulings, ask a qualified scholar you trust.

How we handle sources

  • Every ayah links to quran.com; every hadith links to its page on sunnah.com with the grade shown there.
  • Weak (da'if) or fabricated narrations are not used as evidence. Where graders differ, we say so.
  • Numbers (counts of dhikr, dates, army sizes) appear only where an authentic source states them; otherwise they are removed or attributed to the historical source.
  • Anything we could not verify carries a visible “needs scholar review” label.
  • French and Arabic prose not yet checked by a human translator is marked “translation review pending”.

How content is reviewed

  • Written and checked against the linked sources by the AMAADOR ISLAM team (Youssef AMAADOR).
  • No qualified scholar has yet reviewed this site as a whole. Until one does, sensitive lessons stay marked “needs scholar review”.
  • When a reviewer checks a lesson, we will publish their name (if they agree), the date and exactly what they reviewed.
  • We separate four kinds of text: Qur'an (quran.com), hadith (sunnah.com, with grade), historical reports, and our own explanation or reflection.
