بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
ara-ayta
Have you seen alladhī
the one who yukadhibu
denies bil-dīni
the Judgment ۝١
Have you seen the one who denies the Recompense?
fadhālika
Then that alladhī
(is) the one who yaduʿʿu
repulses l-yatīma
the orphan ۝٢
For that is the one who drives away the orphan
walā
And (does) not yaḥuḍḍu
feel the urge ʿalā
to ṭaʿāmi
feed l-mis'kīni
the poor ۝٣
And does not encourage the feeding of the poor.
fawaylun
So woe lil'muṣallīna
to those who pray ۝٤
So woe to those who pray
alladhīna
Those who hum
[they] ʿan
about ṣalātihim
their prayers sāhūna
(are) neglectful ۝٥
[But] who are heedless of their prayer -
alladhīna
Those who hum
[they] yurāūna
make show ۝٦
Those who make show [of their deeds]
wayamnaʿūna
And they deny l-māʿūna
[the] small kindnesses ۝٧
And withhold [simple] assistance.
