الٓر ۚalif-lam-ra Alif Laam Raتِلْكَtil'ka Theseءَايَـٰتُāyātu (are) the Versesٱلْكِتَـٰبِl-kitābi (of) the Bookوَقُرْءَانٍۢwaqur'ānin and Quranمُّبِينٍۢmubīnin clear١
Alif, Lâm, Râ. Voici les versets du Livre et d’une Lecture explicite.
رُّبَمَاrubamā Perhapsيَوَدُّyawaddu will wishٱلَّذِينَalladhīna those whoكَفَرُوا۟kafarū disbelievedلَوْlaw ifكَانُوا۟kānū they had beenمُسْلِمِينَmus'limīna Muslims٢
[Le Jour du Jugement Dernier] les mécréants voudraient avoir été Musulmans [soumis].
ذَرْهُمْdharhum Leave themيَأْكُلُوا۟yakulū (to) eatوَيَتَمَتَّعُوا۟wayatamattaʿū and enjoyوَيُلْهِهِمُwayul'hihimu and diverted themٱلْأَمَلُ ۖl-amalu the hopeفَسَوْفَfasawfa then soonيَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūna they will come to know٣
Laisse-les manger, jouir (un temps), et être distraits par l’espoir; car bientôt ils sauront!
وَمَآwamā And notأَهْلَكْنَاahlaknā We destroyedمِنmin anyقَرْيَةٍqaryatin townإِلَّاillā butوَلَهَاwalahā (there was) for itكِتَابٌۭkitābun a decreeمَّعْلُومٌۭmaʿlūmun known٤
Or Nous ne détruisons aucune cité sans qu’elle n’ait eu [un terme fixé en] une écriture connue.
وَقَالُوا۟waqālū And they sayيَـٰٓأَيُّهَاyāayyuhā O youٱلَّذِىalladhī (to) whomنُزِّلَnuzzila has been sent downعَلَيْهِʿalayhi [on him]ٱلذِّكْرُl-dhik'ru the Reminderإِنَّكَinnaka indeed, youلَمَجْنُونٌۭlamajnūnun (are) surely mad٦
Et ils (les mecquois) disent : "Ô toi sur qui on a fait descendre le Coran, tu es certainement fou !
لَّوْlaw Whyمَاmā notتَأْتِينَاtatīnā you bring to usبِٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِbil-malāikati the Angelsإِنin ifكُنتَkunta you areمِنَmina ofٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَl-ṣādiqīna the truthful٧
Pourquoi ne nous es-tu pas venu avec les Anges, si tu es du nombre des véridiques ?"
مَاmā Notنُنَزِّلُnunazzilu We send downٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَl-malāikata the Angelsإِلَّاillā exceptبِٱلْحَقِّbil-ḥaqi with the truthوَمَاwamā and notكَانُوٓا۟kānū they would beإِذًۭاidhan thenمُّنظَرِينَmunẓarīna given respite٨
Nous ne faisons descendre les Anges qu’avec la vérité; et alors, il ne leur sera pas accordé de répit [à ces impies].
إِنَّاinnā Indeed, Weنَحْنُnaḥnu Weنَزَّلْنَاnazzalnā have sent downٱلذِّكْرَl-dhik'ra the Reminderوَإِنَّاwa-innā and indeed, Weلَهُۥlahu of itلَحَـٰفِظُونَlaḥāfiẓūna (are) surely Guardians٩
En vérité, c'est Nous qui avons fait descendre le Coran, et c'est Nous qui en sommes gardien .
وَلَقَدْwalaqad And certainlyأَرْسَلْنَاarsalnā We (had) sentمِنmin before youقَبْلِكَqablika before youفِىfī inشِيَعِshiyaʿi the sectsٱلْأَوَّلِينَl-awalīna (of) the former (people)١٠
Et Nous avons certes envoyé, avant toi, [des Messagers] parmi les peuples des Anciens .
وَمَاwamā And notيَأْتِيهِمyatīhim came to themمِّنmin anyرَّسُولٍrasūlin Messengerإِلَّاillā butكَانُوا۟kānū they didبِهِۦbihi at himيَسْتَهْزِءُونَyastahziūna mock١١
Et pas un Messager ne leur est venu sans qu'ils s'en soient moqués.
لَاlā Notيُؤْمِنُونَyu'minūna they believeبِهِۦ ۖbihi in itوَقَدْwaqad and verilyخَلَتْkhalat have passedسُنَّةُsunnatu the way(s)ٱلْأَوَّلِينَl-awalīna (of) the former (people)١٣
Ils ne croiront pas en lui [le Messager ou le Coran] bien que ce soit accompli le sort traditionnel des anciens.
وَلَوْwalaw And (even) ifفَتَحْنَاfataḥnā We openedعَلَيْهِمʿalayhim to themبَابًۭاbāban a gateمِّنَmina fromٱلسَّمَآءِl-samāi the heavenفَظَلُّوا۟faẓallū and they were to continueفِيهِfīhi thereinيَعْرُجُونَyaʿrujūna (to) ascend١٤
Et même si Nous ouvrions pour eux une porte du ciel, et qu’ils pussent y monter,
لَقَالُوٓا۟laqālū They would surely sayإِنَّمَاinnamā Onlyسُكِّرَتْsukkirat have been dazzledأَبْصَـٰرُنَاabṣārunā our eyesبَلْbal Nayنَحْنُnaḥnu weقَوْمٌۭqawmun (are) a peopleمَّسْحُورُونَmasḥūrūna bewitched١٥
ils diraient: "Vraiment nos yeux sont voilés. Mais plutôt, nous sommes des gens ensorcelés."
وَلَقَدْwalaqad And verilyجَعَلْنَاjaʿalnā We have placedفِىfī inٱلسَّمَآءِl-samāi the heavensبُرُوجًۭاburūjan constellationsوَزَيَّنَّـٰهَاwazayyannāhā and We have beautified itلِلنَّـٰظِرِينَlilnnāẓirīna for the observers١٦
Certes Nous avons placé dans le ciel des constellations et Nous l’avons embelli pour ceux qui regardent.
إِلَّاillā Exceptمَنِmani (one) whoٱسْتَرَقَis'taraqa stealsٱلسَّمْعَl-samʿa the hearingفَأَتْبَعَهُۥfa-atbaʿahu then follows himشِهَابٌۭshihābun a burning flameمُّبِينٌۭmubīnun clear١٨
À moins que l’un d’eux parvienne subrepticement à écouter, une flamme brillante alors le poursuit.
وَٱلْأَرْضَwal-arḍa And the earthمَدَدْنَـٰهَاmadadnāhā We have spread itوَأَلْقَيْنَاwa-alqaynā and [We] castفِيهَاfīhā thereinرَوَٰسِىَrawāsiya firm mountainsوَأَنۢبَتْنَاwa-anbatnā and [We] caused to growفِيهَاfīhā thereinمِنmin ofكُلِّkulli everyشَىْءٍۢshayin thingمَّوْزُونٍۢmawzūnin well-balanced١٩
Et quant à la terre, Nous l’avons étalée et y avons placé des montagnes (immobiles) et y avons fait pousser toute chose harmonieusement proportionnée.
وَجَعَلْنَاwajaʿalnā And We have madeلَكُمْlakum for youفِيهَاfīhā thereinمَعَـٰيِشَmaʿāyisha means of livingوَمَنwaman and whomلَّسْتُمْlastum you are notلَهُۥlahu for himبِرَٰزِقِينَbirāziqīna providers٢٠
Et Nous y avons placé des vivres pour vous, et (placé aussi pour vous) des êtres que vous ne nourrissez pas.
وَإِنwa-in And notمِّنmin (is) anyشَىْءٍshayin thingإِلَّاillā butعِندَنَاʿindanā with Usخَزَآئِنُهُۥkhazāinuhu (are) its treasuresوَمَاwamā and notنُنَزِّلُهُۥٓnunazziluhu We send it downإِلَّاillā exceptبِقَدَرٍۢbiqadarin in a measureمَّعْلُومٍۢmaʿlūmin known٢١
Et il n’est rien dont Nous n’ayons les réserves et Nous ne le faisons descendre que dans une mesure déterminée.
وَأَرْسَلْنَاwa-arsalnā And We have sentٱلرِّيَـٰحَl-riyāḥa the windsلَوَٰقِحَlawāqiḥa fertilizingفَأَنزَلْنَاfa-anzalnā and We sent downمِنَmina fromٱلسَّمَآءِl-samāi the skyمَآءًۭmāan waterفَأَسْقَيْنَـٰكُمُوهُfa-asqaynākumūhu and We gave it to you to drinkوَمَآwamā And notأَنتُمْantum youلَهُۥlahu of itبِخَـٰزِنِينَbikhāzinīna (are) retainers٢٢
Et Nous envoyons les vents fécondants; et Nous faisons alors descendre du ciel une eau dont Nous vous abreuvons et que vous n’êtes pas en mesure de conserver .
وَإِنَّاwa-innā And indeed, Weلَنَحْنُlanaḥnu surely [We]نُحْىِۦnuḥ'yī We give lifeوَنُمِيتُwanumītu and We cause deathوَنَحْنُwanaḥnu and Weٱلْوَٰرِثُونَl-wārithūna (are) the Inheritors٢٣
Et c’est bien Nous qui donnons la vie et donnons la mort, et c’est Nous qui sommes l’héritier [de tout].
وَلَقَدْwalaqad And verilyعَلِمْنَاʿalim'nā We knowٱلْمُسْتَقْدِمِينَl-mus'taqdimīna the preceding onesمِنكُمْminkum among youوَلَقَدْwalaqad and verilyعَلِمْنَاʿalim'nā We knowٱلْمُسْتَـْٔخِرِينَl-mus'takhirīna the later ones٢٤
Et Nous connaissons certes parmi vous, les générations révolues et Nous connaissons les générations présentes et à venir .
وَإِنَّwa-inna And indeedرَبَّكَrabbaka your Lordهُوَhuwa Heيَحْشُرُهُمْ ۚyaḥshuruhum will gather themإِنَّهُۥinnahu Indeed, Heحَكِيمٌḥakīmun (is) All-Wiseعَلِيمٌۭʿalīmun All-Knowing٢٥
Certes, c’est ton Seigneur qui les rassemblera. Car c’est lui le Sage, l’Omniscient.
وَلَقَدْwalaqad And verilyخَلَقْنَاkhalaqnā We createdٱلْإِنسَـٰنَl-insāna humankindمِنmin (out) ofصَلْصَـٰلٍۢṣalṣālin sounding clayمِّنْmin fromحَمَإٍۢḥama-in black mudمَّسْنُونٍۢmasnūnin altered٢٦
Nous avons créé l’homme d’une argile crissante, extraite d’une boue malléable.
وَٱلْجَآنَّwal-jāna And the jinnخَلَقْنَـٰهُkhalaqnāhu We created itمِنmin beforeقَبْلُqablu beforeمِنmin fromنَّارِnāri fireٱلسَّمُومِl-samūmi scorching٢٧
Et quand aux djinns , Nous l’avions auparavant créé d’un feu d’une chaleur ardente.
وَإِذْwa-idh And whenقَالَqāla your Lord saidرَبُّكَrabbuka your Lord saidلِلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِlil'malāikati to the Angelsإِنِّىinnī Indeed, Iخَـٰلِقٌۢkhāliqun (will) createبَشَرًۭاbasharan a human beingمِّنmin (out) ofصَلْصَـٰلٍۢṣalṣālin clayمِّنْmin fromحَمَإٍۢḥama-in black mudمَّسْنُونٍۢmasnūnin altered٢٨
Et lorsque ton Seigneur dit aux Anges : "Je vais créer un homme d’argile crissante, extraite d’une boue malléable,
فَإِذَاfa-idhā So, whenسَوَّيْتُهُۥsawwaytuhu I have fashioned himوَنَفَخْتُwanafakhtu and [I] breathedفِيهِfīhi into himمِنmin ofرُّوحِىrūḥī My spiritفَقَعُوا۟faqaʿū then fall downلَهُۥlahu to himسَـٰجِدِينَsājidīna prostrating٢٩
et dès que Je l’aurais harmonieusement formé et lui aurait insufflé Mon souffle de vie, jetez-vous alors, prosternés devant lui ."
قَالَqāla He saidيَـٰٓإِبْلِيسُyāib'līsu O Iblisمَاmā Whatلَكَlaka (is) for youأَلَّاallā that notتَكُونَtakūna you areمَعَmaʿa withٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَl-sājidīna those who prostrated٣٢
Alors [Allah] dit : "Ô Iblis ! Pourquoi n’es-tu pas au nombre des prosternés ?"
قَالَqāla He saidلَمْlam I am notأَكُنakun I am notلِّأَسْجُدَli-asjuda (one) to prostrateلِبَشَرٍlibasharin to a humanخَلَقْتَهُۥkhalaqtahu whom You createdمِنmin (out) ofصَلْصَـٰلٍۢṣalṣālin clayمِّنْmin fromحَمَإٍۢḥama-in black mudمَّسْنُونٍۢmasnūnin altered٣٣
Il dit : "Je ne puis me prosterner devant un homme que Tu as créé d’argile crissante, extraite d’une boue malléable."
وَإِنَّwa-inna And indeedعَلَيْكَʿalayka upon youٱللَّعْنَةَl-laʿnata (will be) the curseإِلَىٰilā tillيَوْمِyawmi (the) Dayٱلدِّينِl-dīni (of) [the] Judgment٣٥
Et la malédiction sur toi, jusqu’au Jour de la Rétribution !"
قَالَqāla He saidرَبِّrabbi O my Lordفَأَنظِرْنِىٓfa-anẓir'nī Then give me respiteإِلَىٰilā tillيَوْمِyawmi (the) Dayيُبْعَثُونَyub'ʿathūna they are raised٣٦
Il dit : “Seigneur ! Donne-moi donc un délai jusqu’au jour où ils (les gens) seront ressuscités !”
قَالَqāla He saidرَبِّrabbi My Lordبِمَآbimā Becauseأَغْوَيْتَنِىaghwaytanī You misled meلَأُزَيِّنَنَّla-uzayyinanna surely, I will make (evil) fair-seemingلَهُمْlahum to themفِىfī inٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍi the earthوَلَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْwala-ugh'wiyannahum and I will mislead themأَجْمَعِينَajmaʿīna all٣٩
Il dit : "Ô mon Seigneur ! Parce que Tu m’as induit en erreur, eh bien je leur enjoliverai la vie sur terre et les égarerai tous,
إِنَّinna Indeedعِبَادِىʿibādī My slavesلَيْسَlaysa notلَكَlaka you haveعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhim over themسُلْطَـٰنٌsul'ṭānun any authorityإِلَّاillā exceptمَنِmani those whoٱتَّبَعَكَittabaʿaka follow youمِنَmina ofٱلْغَاوِينَl-ghāwīna the ones who go astray٤٢
Sur Mes serviteurs tu n’auras aucune autorité, excepté sur celui qui te suivra parmi les dévoyés.
لَهَاlahā For itسَبْعَةُsabʿatu (are) sevenأَبْوَٰبٍۢabwābin gatesلِّكُلِّlikulli for eachبَابٍۢbābin gateمِّنْهُمْmin'hum among themجُزْءٌۭjuz'on (is) a portionمَّقْسُومٌmaqsūmun assigned٤٤
Il a sept portes; et chaque porte en a sa part déterminée.
وَنَزَعْنَاwanazaʿnā And We (will) removeمَاmā whatفِىfī (is) inصُدُورِهِمṣudūrihim their breastsمِّنْmin ofغِلٍّghillin rancorإِخْوَٰنًاikh'wānan (they will be) brothersعَلَىٰʿalā onسُرُرٍۢsururin thronesمُّتَقَـٰبِلِينَmutaqābilīna facing each other٤٧
Et Nous aurons arraché toute rancune de leurs poitrines : et ils vivront en frères, faisant face les uns aux autres sur des lits.
لَاlā Notيَمَسُّهُمْyamassuhum will touch themفِيهَاfīhā thereinنَصَبٌۭnaṣabun fatigueوَمَاwamā and notهُمhum theyمِّنْهَاmin'hā from itبِمُخْرَجِينَbimukh'rajīna will be removed٤٨
Nulle fatigue ne les y touchera. Et on ne les en fera pas sortir.
۞ نَبِّئْnabbi Informعِبَادِىٓʿibādī My slavesأَنِّىٓannī that Iأَنَاanā I amٱلْغَفُورُl-ghafūru the Oft-Forgivingٱلرَّحِيمُl-raḥīmu the Most Merciful٤٩
Informe Mes serviteurs que c’est Moi le Pardonneur, le Très Miséricordieux.
إِذْidh Whenدَخَلُوا۟dakhalū they enteredعَلَيْهِʿalayhi upon himفَقَالُوا۟faqālū and saidسَلَـٰمًۭاsalāman Peaceقَالَqāla He saidإِنَّاinnā Indeed, weمِنكُمْminkum (are) of youوَجِلُونَwajilūna afraid٥٢
Quand ils entrèrent chez lui et dirent: " Paix Salâm) !" - Il dit : "Nous avons peur de vous."
قَالُوا۟qālū They saidلَاlā (Do) notتَوْجَلْtawjal be afraidإِنَّاinnā indeed, weنُبَشِّرُكَnubashiruka [we] bring glad tidings to youبِغُلَـٰمٍbighulāmin of a boyعَلِيمٍۢʿalīmin learned٥٣
Ils dirent : "N’aie pas peur ! Nous t’annonçons une bonne nouvelle, [la naissance] d’un garçon plein de savoir."
قَالَqāla He saidأَبَشَّرْتُمُونِىabashartumūnī Do you give me glad tidingsعَلَىٰٓʿalā Do you give me glad tidingsأَنan althoughمَّسَّنِىَmassaniya has overtaken meٱلْكِبَرُl-kibaru old ageفَبِمَfabima Then about whatتُبَشِّرُونَtubashirūna you give glad tidings٥٤
Il dit : "M’annoncez-vous [cette nouvelle] alors que la vieillesse m’a touché ? Que m’annoncez-vous donc ?"
قَالُوا۟qālū They saidبَشَّرْنَـٰكَbasharnāka We give you glad tidingsبِٱلْحَقِّbil-ḥaqi in truthفَلَاfalā so (do) notتَكُنtakun beمِّنَmina ofٱلْقَـٰنِطِينَl-qāniṭīna the despairing٥٥
- Ils dirent : "Nous t’annonçons la vérité. Ne sois donc pas de ceux qui désespèrent !"
قَالَqāla He saidوَمَنwaman And whoيَقْنَطُyaqnaṭu despairsمِنmin ofرَّحْمَةِraḥmati (the) Mercyرَبِّهِۦٓrabbihi (of) his Lordإِلَّاillā exceptٱلضَّآلُّونَl-ḍālūna those who are astray٥٦
- Il dit : "Et qui désespère de la miséricorde de son Seigneur, sinon les égarés ?"
قَالُوٓا۟qālū They saidإِنَّآinnā Indeed, weأُرْسِلْنَآur'sil'nā [we] have been sentإِلَىٰilā toقَوْمٍۢqawmin a people مُّجْرِمِينَmuj'rimīna criminals٥٨
- Ils dirent : "En vérité, nous sommes envoyés à des gens criminels,
إِلَّاillā Exceptٱمْرَأَتَهُۥim'ra-atahu his wifeقَدَّرْنَآ ۙqaddarnā We have decreedإِنَّهَاinnahā that sheلَمِنَlamina (is) surely ofٱلْغَـٰبِرِينَl-ghābirīna those who remain behind٦٠
sauf sa femme. "Nous (Allah) avions déterminé qu’elle serait du nombre des exterminés.
قَالُوا۟qālū They saidبَلْbal Nayجِئْنَـٰكَji'nāka we have come to youبِمَاbimā with whatكَانُوا۟kānū they wereفِيهِfīhi in itيَمْتَرُونَyamtarūna disputing٦٣
- Ils dirent : "Nous sommes plutôt venus à toi en apportant (le châtiment) à propos duquel ils doutaient.
وَأَتَيْنَـٰكَwa-ataynāka And we have come to youبِٱلْحَقِّbil-ḥaqi with the truthوَإِنَّاwa-innā and indeed, weلَصَـٰدِقُونَlaṣādiqūna surely (are) truthful٦٤
Et nous venons à toi avec la vérité. Et nous sommes véridiques.
فَأَسْرِfa-asri So travelبِأَهْلِكَbi-ahlika with your familyبِقِطْعٍۢbiqiṭ'ʿin in a portionمِّنَmina ofٱلَّيْلِal-layli the nightوَٱتَّبِعْwa-ittabiʿ and followأَدْبَـٰرَهُمْadbārahum their backsوَلَاwalā and notيَلْتَفِتْyaltafit let look backمِنكُمْminkum among youأَحَدٌۭaḥadun anyoneوَٱمْضُوا۟wa-im'ḍū and go onحَيْثُḥaythu whereتُؤْمَرُونَtu'marūna you are ordered٦٥
Pars donc avec ta famille en fin de nuit et suis leurs arrières ! Et que nul d’entre vous ne se retourne. Et allez là où on vous le commande !"
وَقَضَيْنَآwaqaḍaynā And We conveyedإِلَيْهِilayhi to himذَٰلِكَdhālika [that]ٱلْأَمْرَl-amra the matterأَنَّanna thatدَابِرَdābira (the) rootهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِhāulāi (of) theseمَقْطُوعٌۭmaqṭūʿun would be cut offمُّصْبِحِينَmuṣ'biḥīna (by) early morning٦٦
Et Nous lui annonçâmes cet ordre, à savoir que ces gens-là, au matin, seront anéantis jusqu’au dernier.
لَعَمْرُكَlaʿamruka By your lifeإِنَّهُمْinnahum indeed, theyلَفِىlafī were inسَكْرَتِهِمْsakratihim their intoxicationيَعْمَهُونَyaʿmahūna wandering blindly٧٢
Par ta vie ! ils se confondaient dans leur délire.
فَجَعَلْنَاfajaʿalnā And We madeعَـٰلِيَهَاʿāliyahā its highest (part)سَافِلَهَاsāfilahā its lowestوَأَمْطَرْنَاwa-amṭarnā and We rainedعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhim upon themحِجَارَةًۭḥijāratan stonesمِّنmin ofسِجِّيلٍsijjīlin baked clay٧٤
Et Nous renversâmes [la ville] de fond en comble et fîmes pleuvoir sur eux des pierres d’argile dure.
فَٱنتَقَمْنَاfa-intaqamnā So We took retributionمِنْهُمْmin'hum from themوَإِنَّهُمَاwa-innahumā and indeed, they bothلَبِإِمَامٍۢlabi-imāmin (were) on a highwayمُّبِينٍۢmubīnin clear٧٩
Nous Nous sommes donc vengés d’eux. Et ces deux [cités], vraiment, sont sur une route bien évidente [que vous connaissez].
وَلَقَدْwalaqad And certainlyكَذَّبَkadhaba deniedأَصْحَـٰبُaṣḥābu (the) companionsٱلْحِجْرِl-ḥij'ri (of) the Rocky Tractٱلْمُرْسَلِينَl-mur'salīna the Messengers٨٠
Certes, les gens d’Al-Hijr ont traité de menteurs les Messagers.
وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمْwaātaynāhum And We gave themءَايَـٰتِنَاāyātinā Our Signsفَكَانُوا۟fakānū but they wereعَنْهَاʿanhā from themمُعْرِضِينَmuʿ'riḍīna turning away٨١
Nous leur avons montré Nos signes, mais ils s’en étaient détournés.
وَكَانُوا۟wakānū And they used (to)يَنْحِتُونَyanḥitūna carveمِنَmina fromٱلْجِبَالِl-jibāli the mountainsبُيُوتًاbuyūtan housesءَامِنِينَāminīna secure٨٢
Et ils taillaient des maisons dans leurs montagnes, vivant en sécurité.
وَمَاwamā And notخَلَقْنَاkhalaqnā We createdٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwāti the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضَwal-arḍa and the earthوَمَاwamā and whateverبَيْنَهُمَآbaynahumā (is) between themإِلَّاillā exceptبِٱلْحَقِّ ۗbil-ḥaqi in truthوَإِنَّwa-inna And indeedٱلسَّاعَةَl-sāʿata the Hourلَـَٔاتِيَةٌۭ ۖlaātiyatun (is) surely comingفَٱصْفَحِfa-iṣ'faḥi So overlookٱلصَّفْحَl-ṣafḥa (with) forgivenessٱلْجَمِيلَl-jamīla gracious٨٥
Et Nous n’avons créé les cieux et la Terre, et ce qui est entre eux, que pour une juste raison. Et l’Heure [sans aucun doute] arrivera ! Pardonne-[leur] donc d’un beau pardon.
وَلَقَدْwalaqad And certainlyءَاتَيْنَـٰكَātaynāka We have given youسَبْعًۭاsabʿan sevenمِّنَmina ofٱلْمَثَانِىl-mathānī the oft-repeatedوَٱلْقُرْءَانَwal-qur'āna and the Quranٱلْعَظِيمَl-ʿaẓīma Great٨٧
Nous t’avons certes donné "les sept versets que l’on répète" , ainsi que le Coran sublime.
لَاlā (Do) notتَمُدَّنَّtamuddanna extendعَيْنَيْكَʿaynayka your eyesإِلَىٰilā towardsمَاmā whatمَتَّعْنَاmattaʿnā We have bestowedبِهِۦٓbihi with itأَزْوَٰجًۭاazwājan (to) categoriesمِّنْهُمْmin'hum of themوَلَاwalā and (do) notتَحْزَنْtaḥzan grieveعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhim over themوَٱخْفِضْwa-ikh'fiḍ And lowerجَنَاحَكَjanāḥaka your wingلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَlil'mu'minīna to the believers٨٨
Ne regarde surtout pas avec envie les choses dont Nous avons donné jouissance temporaire à certains couples d’entre eux, ne t’afflige pas à leur sujet et abaisse ton aile pour les croyants .
فَٱصْدَعْfa-iṣ'daʿ So proclaimبِمَاbimā of whatتُؤْمَرُtu'maru you are orderedوَأَعْرِضْwa-aʿriḍ and turn awayعَنِʿani fromٱلْمُشْرِكِينَl-mush'rikīna the polytheists٩٤
Expose donc clairement ce qu’on t’a commandé et détourne- toi des polythéistes !
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna Those whoيَجْعَلُونَyajʿalūna set upمَعَmaʿa withٱللَّهِl-lahi Allahإِلَـٰهًاilāhan godءَاخَرَ ۚākhara anotherفَسَوْفَfasawfa But soonيَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūna they will come to know٩٦
Ceux qui associent à Allah une autre divinité. Mais ils sauront bientôt.
وَلَقَدْwalaqad And verilyنَعْلَمُnaʿlamu We knowأَنَّكَannaka that [you]يَضِيقُyaḍīqu (is) straitenedصَدْرُكَṣadruka your breastبِمَاbimā by whatيَقُولُونَyaqūlūna they say٩٧
Et Nous savons certes que ta poitrine se serre, à cause de ce qu’ils disent.
فَسَبِّحْfasabbiḥ So glorifyبِحَمْدِbiḥamdi with the praiseرَبِّكَrabbika (of) your Lordوَكُنwakun and beمِّنَmina ofٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَl-sājidīna those who prostrate٩٨
Glorifie donc Ton Seigneur par Sa louange et sois de ceux qui se prosternent !
